glass and metal enclosure. his arms folded for most of the time and he did not speak. gershkovich is being held in a prison, former kgb facility traditionally brutally used during the soviet area to house accused spies which is exactly what the kremlin is accusing him of being. detention part of a sweeping crack down by putin amid the war in ukraine. now, last week the u.s. designated him as wrongfully detained so in essence that calls the spying charges against him politically driven. u.s. ambassador to russia also arrived to the courtroom today. yesterday she was able to pay her first visit to gershkovich since his march 29th arrest. she concluded a tweet with this, quote: he is in good health and remains strong. we reiterate our call for his immediate release so that #included there. right now russia is saying that a prisoner swap may be possible but only after a trial has concluded. and we know that could take months, if not a year, guys?

changes affecting private banks nationwide. the result pricier payments for most home buyers and those with good credit footing the bill. here to explain we have got real estate broker and former-million-dollar listing star kirsten jordan she joins us now here in the studio. good morning to you. >> thank you for having me. >> this is a little complicated. you have done some research so if you would report back to us. what is going on here? >> well, what had to happen is because of the fact that the borrows that have lower credit scores, which is we are talking like 680 and below is what we are considering lower credit scores, those borrowers are traditionally those with lower income and in general with especially with what is going on right now with higher rates have more difficulty borrowing. >> steve: right. >> fannie mae and freddie mac in their initiative to try to expand and make it easier and more affordable. >> steve: put more people in houses. >> put more people in houses and clearly right now there is an

affordability crisis with regards to housing. >> steve: sure. >> they said we need to figure out a way to make this more affordable. so those with below -- specifically below 660 went from having to pay 2.75 to 1.5% in a fee penalizing fee to borrow with a lower than average credit rating. >> steve: holy cow. >> the people who then pick up the bill, so to speak because the fact that this has to somehow get subsidize are the borrowers that borrow the most amount of money, the largest loans, clearly. the ones that have second homes and the ones that are buying investment properties. >> steve: so what you are describing kirsten is the people with good credit who have made all their payments on time, who probably have more money in the bank are subsidizing the people who are bigger credit risks? >> it's kind of indirect because

the primary residence buyer that it has high credit isn't getting pepenalized coming out of the mh higher rates we are seeing 7%, 8% for borrowers that are buying the second homes and, you know, investment properties. >> steve: that's what is going on regarding mortgages. as you look at your crystal ball, you know, the average -- you know, everybody has been shopping for a good rate with mortgages, but, because of the cost of money, it's like doubled in a year if you could predict because there are a lot of people thinking about moving some place or buying a house, what does the couple months into the next year look like for you? >> in the markets where we have a scarcity of inventory which are the most affluent markets where there already was demand and they had multiple streams of demand probably already seen the bottom. then markets artificially created during covid, during the pandemic. people went there to leave and find more affordability, more

will tell you at the same time would have gotten this letter. they have strong loy opposed and grave concerns about us proceeding in that direction. that tells you something about their concerns about what they're doing. if you look at our committee, the letter talks about us not being scientific. we have seven physicians on the committee in a bipartisan fashion and we have been bringing scientists in. and we would be glad to bring in the chinese scientists that were doing things like gain of function research and coronavirus research. the house and the senate and the president signed us to declassify all the intelligence that they have on covid-19 and the origins. certainly that will be heavily redacted but we look forward to getting that i have been on intelligence committee for some time when i first as a physician dug into the origins. one of the first things china was able to create a gain of function research type of virus,
