>> i think the commonthread and core of the conversation really is that the democratic party has gone so far to the left that the average american who normally sits in the middle of social and economic issues, they can't even see the democrats that are supposed to be represented because they are so far to the left. average person is right there in the middle ground. they're becoming more conservative. a lot has to do with social issues, but a lot now is economic driven. the average working family is more than paycheck to paycheck is everyday life for a lot of people. >> ashley: i love this quote, political analyst telling axios, republicans were the party of the country club and increasingly the party of

pushing for clean energy while making this telling admission. abundant natural gas deserves credit for weaning the u.s. off coal and giving credit to it for driving down emission for alternative services like wind and solar. i had to do a few double takes making sure i was reading it was the "washington post." you have to think the mainstream media is like, whoa, hold on, don't expose this. what are the biggest admissions in this report? >> the fact on morning where the sun has not risen on a week like earth week, this week, that solar and wind can't power america, the sun is not shining right now, we need power and "washington post" admitted that in a way that would shock a lot of americans.

it is my generation and the american people starting to realize solar and wind will be part of the future, nuclear, hydropower and natural gas are the reason we decreased emissions. they are clean and run 24 hours per day and "washington post" admitted that is important and we have to have more electricity in the future, more power generation and have to do it through reliable, affordable sources. that does not mean solar and wind are not affordable for the future, we have to be realistic how we work on energy policy and not do what feels and sounds good, we have to do things that do good. that is a path i didn't see the "washington post" taking. >> todd: if this info, is out there and to your point, if sources you mentioned are less carbon producing than in the

firefighters and they use that to search for victims and get an idea of the damage. that was used yesterday, one of the first times we saw it used by fdny. they survey the damage inside and outside. we did hear from mayor adams and from the fire chief. they were happy to be able to use this technology because you have to think about firefighters put their lives at risk everyday. this situation was too dangerous to have firefighters go inside. this helped keep firefighters safe, something we're hearing from mayor adams and the fire chief. the technology has been around a year in the city, the fdny has two robotic dogs, each cost about $75,000. >> ashley: how many times have we parked in a parking structure like that, it could happen to

the bottom line is that new york is a close second behind california in terms of people and companies leaving because they simply still do not feel safe and this fallacy that somehow they are safer now is incredible and aoc but not by her constituents. >> todd: maybe she was joking because it's a comedy show not a very funny comedy show.
