>> bill: you have the right attitude you will have the strength to say no. while we're at it. see you at the hockey game continue. >> bill: i'm new york rangers. >> dana: the devils used to be the colorado avalanche. dana reads sports without a teleprompter. harris faulkner is up next. she has a great showing up coming up. >> harris: breaking news, the united states house of representatives has just approved the republican-led bill protecting women and girls in sports. president biden had already threatened to veto it if and when it makes it through the senate and reaches his desk. here is what it does. the protecting women and girls in sports bill bans transgender women from competing with biological women. a young superstar swimmer at the center of all of the fight for girls to compete only with girls riley gaines is in "focus" this
8:01 am
hour. we'll get her reaction to what is happening on capitol hill and more. and bombshell new claims that the biden administration obstructed the years long investigation into hunter biden related to tax fraud and gun ownership case. i'm harris faulkner. an i.r.s. supervisor is making those claims now asking congress for whistleblower protection. that person calls the hunter biden investigation infected by politics. the attorney for that i.r.s. agent says the protected disclosures would include details which contradict sworn testimony, a clear conflict of interest, and an abundance of preferential treatment adding fuel to the house republicans' fight to hold the biden family accountable. james comer says the administration may have been working overtime to try to
8:02 am
protect hunter biden and adding this about the president. >> i don't see how joe biden could not be compromised. these family members aren't energy experts. they weren't on boards. at least with burisma hunter actually sat on a board. so what were they doing, why were they getting this much money? it all points back to joe biden and we'll continue until we get the truth to the american people. the walls are closing in on the biden family. >> harris: now the big dig. senator ted cruz calling on treasury secretary janet yellen to publicly release all the biden family's suspicious activity reports. over 150 of them. he says it is a political cover-up if she does not do her job and release those reports. the white house offering a familiar dodge. >> we've been very clear to not comment on anything related to any type of investigation so that is something that we have
8:03 am
been very, very diligent about and referring that to the department of justice. >> harris: in "focus" lindsey graham. great to have you in "focus" today. you heard the white house press secretary. is she being completely transparent, truthful when she says we never comment on anything like this? >> well, no, honestly. the whistleblower allegations is a game changer. this is somebody in the i.r.s. at a high level who apparently is willing to come forward to tell the congress that during the investigation of hunter biden, there was obstruction and a thumb on the scale to the point they feel they need to let the congress know. if this is true -- i don't know yet. if it's true, the department of justice yet again puts their thumb on the scale politically and then all hell is going to break out and there will be hell
8:04 am
to pay. to the white house senator durbin said today the democrat chairman of the committee to make sure the whistleblower allegations are looked at seriously and i will hold him to that word. >> harris: it would be a game change. that person would do protections if we call them a whistleblower as such. the "new york post," senator, with some explosive reporting today. house judiciary sources confirm that in sworn testimony former acting c.i.a. director mike more yell admitted it was joe biden's potential campaign that prompted the infamous letter in which morel and 50 former intel officials falsely claimed that material from hunter biden's laptop was russian disinformation. this seems to deepen. your take. >> it deepens greatly. what happened here is 50 pretty
8:05 am
well-known and most pretty well respected intelligence officials put their name on a letter right before the election saying that the hunter biden laptop was most likely russian disinformation. so what i want to know. i want to know who contacted them to sign the letter. i want to know who had briefed them about why they thought the laptop was russian disinformation. does it go back to the biden campaign? who are these people? was tony blinken involved, the now secretary of state? >> harris: you so rightfully bring him up. at the time he was an advisor to the campaign. that is not who he is now. he is the secretary of state as you just mentioned. so was he the one who urgently phoned morel to suggest the laptop was a russian plant? the "new york post" the answer would be yes from their reporting. senator. >> i don't know. i'm not going to rely on newspaper reports. i will ask myself. i'm writing a letter, jim jordan
8:06 am
sent it from the senate asking all 51 why did you sign the letter, who did you talk to, what information were you given and by whom to make you sign this letter? i think it did affect the election. if this is linked back to the biden campaign, if they made an effort to manipulate intelligence officials to sign a letter basically misleading the public about the hunter biden laptop right before the election, that is a major, major political event and i want to know why they signed the letter, who told you about the theory it was russian disinformation, and we are going to get to the bottom of it. it is clear to me that these people were either in on it or they were misled. i believe most of them were probably misled. but by who? they were clearly used politically. who used these intelligence
8:07 am
experts to try to affect the outcome of the 2020 election? >> harris: and we do want to be extra cautious here. i hear it in your voice as you make news on this program with this. would it go all the way up to the presidency is the big question. we don't know the answer to that. what is at stake? >> a lot is at stake. anybody who tries to get intelligence officials to sign a letter that will affect potentially the outcome of an election in october needs to be held accountable because now we know the hunter biden laptop is actually genuine. who was it that signed up these 50 plus people to tell the american people you shouldn't believe this or be cautious of it? that to me is electoral interference. that is something that can't be tolerated and those involved need to pay a price. >> harris: i'm curious when you find out who that person is. that person would have to be so powerful with so much push to
8:08 am
get 50 people to do one thing. it's not like there was five. there were 50 of them. let's get to this. the gloves are off between house speaker kevin mccarthy and president biden in the debt ceiling fight at this point. the chamber's top republican and the white house trading barbs just yesterday as experts are saying a default could loom. it got pretty chippy. let's watch. >> skipping town to deliver a speech in maryland rather than sitting down to address the debt ceiling. senator schumer is missing in action. just last month he approved it was maine's maple syrup month. >> president biden: this is really dangerous. congressman willing to default on the debt unless i -- >> speaker mccarthy is in hostage taken. no other speaker has done this
8:09 am
before. why threaten default? >> harris: biden is demanding that congress needs to up the debt limit without -- karl rove points out senator biden voted doing that ten times when he was senator and senator biden claimed to champion compromise. i don't think we've seen much of that. he is a different fellow. senator. >> so here is what's going to happen. i'm fully in kevin mccarthy's camp of trying to get some fiscal controls to raise the debt ceiling. kevin is doing the right thing. i bet you if you go back and look when the president was of one party and congress was of the other party, you never raised the debt ceiling without getting some compromise. so when president biden says that it's normal to have a clean debt ceiling increase, that's
8:10 am
not true. what's normal is the parties work together to raise the debt ceiling. i promise you this, i hope kevin can pass something in the house. i think he is doing a great job. there will be no debt ceiling increase with 60 votes in the senate that will be clean. i the end to vote for bipartisan deals but i will not vote to increase the debt ceiling unless we address some of the factors leading to this enormous debt. at the end of the day we are going to get an outcome here. let it start in the house. i want to let you know right now i don't see ten republicans who will sit down with the democrats and raise the debt ceiling without addressing some issues around the debt itself. >> harris: i have to tell you, you know when you make news. it has been house speaker kevin mccarthy out there walking on his own and democrats painted him as somebody willing to do anything to default. what you are saying now is no, that's not what is happening. he is trying fiscal controls as you said to raise the debt
8:11 am
ceiling. there is no talk about not raising it. what you are saying it won't be a clean bill. you have to do something to it. last quick word. >> what kevin is doing is what everybody has done in his position in the past including biden, including pelosi. i want you to understand that what kevin mccarthy is doing is not unusual. it is normal and it needs to be done. i'm standing with kevin and when the house acts and whatever comes over to the senate we aren't going to raise the debt ceiling without getting some debt reforms in the senate with my vote. i don't think there are ten republicans who would work with schumer to raise the debt ceiling without addressing the fundamentals of the debt itself. that's a very reasonable position to take. >> harris: historically, as you say, it's more than reasonable. there is precedent for it. i am standing with kevin. news of the day. senator graham, always great to have you in "focus." thank you for getting us started. >> thank you.
8:12 am
>> harris: fox weather alert now. boy, it has been a tough, tough tornado season already. confirmation a third person killed in a tornado outbreak in central oklahoma from last night. rescue crews still underway -- constituent out there looking for those who could be trapped in the debris. homes, businesses, obliterated in some cases, a mess of downed trees and power lines. the sort of things you see when that funnel sits on the grounds for a while. thousands of people are without utilities today. more than a dozen tornadoes reported in that outbreak in oklahoma. a little bit of it then spread to kansas and iowa. the same system moving east today dropping twisters from the sky. more than 50 million people under a severe storm threat right now, which spans from texas to wisconsin. stay updated to all of it on the fox news weather app. if you don't have it, you need to get it as we head through
8:13 am
tornado season and into hurricane season. it is really a game changer in realtime. fox news weather app. god bless those people in harm's way. if you are a home buyer with a good credit score that's not a good thing anymore. you could see mortgage rates skyrocket next month. the system will work against all the people who do the right thing now. you know, even the playing field for those who choose not to or can't. the house just passed the trans athletes bill as the gop fights hard to protect women and girls in sports. >> title ix was created by congress 50 years ago for women's sports. this completely does away with what the left has done in attempting to erode that by allowing biological males to compete in women's sports. >> it is trans athletes at the
8:14 am
center of this but it's about fairness to everyone. coming up is riley gaines who competed againstly -- against lia thomas. she is coming up next. ady for a. the rate on credit cards is now over 22%. if you want to save hundreds of dollars every month, pay off the balances on your high rate cards with a lower rate va home loan from newday usa. and get the financial peace of mind every veteran deserves. no one takes care of veterans like newday usa.
8:19 am
8:20 am
actual women. democrats who oppose the legislation call it creepy. that's their word. they say the government has no business getting involved. but the biden administration has proposed change to title ix so they do want to get involved with women's sports. that would make it more favorable to trans athletes. they definitely want to get involved. republicans say it is all about fairness in totality. the sponsor of the bill here. >> they are trying to say that we are going after trans kids, which is absolutely and completely false. i'm not saying and the bill is not saying and republicans aren't saying that children, male or female, can't compete in athletics. you can. but you have to compete in the gender and the biological gender that you are. >> harris: former ncaa star swimmer riley gaines has been very outspoken on the hot button issue and she is in "focus" moments away.
8:21 am
let's go to chad pergram live on the hill for the big vote today, chad. >> the vote 219 to 203 along party lines. that followed fights parents had with schools over bathrooms. the concern is whether it's fair for women to face transgender competitors. >> the left's hype october see on this issue resulted in women being demolished in competitions, physically brutalized going up against stronger opponents. what about the women's rights and the rights of the young girls? do they not have any rights anymore? >> democrats accused republicans of focusing on what they say are the wrong issues. democrats want to address funding in education an shootings at schools. california democrat is a former english teacher. >> this mere debate has traumatized trans kids and their families across the country.
8:22 am
85% of transgender and non-binary youth say the debates around anti-trans bills have negatively impacted their mental health. >> democrats say republicans shouldn't intervene in local sports and note many schools are developing rules for transgender athletes. republicans contend they are putting up guardrails for kids in sports. >> this is not insidious. what is insidious is allowing men in girls lockers rooms as they are changing and showers. it is perverted and disgusting an want to make sure we do everything we can to protect women and girls. >> the bill is dead in the senate. president biden also threatened to veto it. house republicans made good on a a promise to intervene in the culture wars. >> harris: thank you very much. in "focus" now riley gaines now an outspoken activist on this issue. she was a top ncaa swimmer forced to compete against a
8:23 am
transgender athlete lia thomas and also the spokesperson for the independent women's forum. we hear the word protection and riley, i want you to take us into the situation of competing against a trans athlete. you are hearing things like shared locker rooms. what was exactly your experience? >> i think the best word to describe my experience in regards to both the locker room and unfair competition and silencing aspect these admini administrations and university are putting forth is betrayal. the people who are supposed to be protecting us aren't. whether it be coaches, parents, people within the ncaa. of course people with political power. my experience it felt like betrayal and belittlement and felt we had been reduced at female athletes down to something to affirm a male's feelings and affirm a male's identity at the expense of our
8:24 am
own. you hear the arguments the democrats are putting forward and saying where is our compassion towards these trans athletes? my rebuttal to that is where is the compassion for an athlete like myself, a young girl who has to share a locker room with a man? it is not something that should be one sided. where is the compassion there? >> harris: this is history being made on the steps of the capitol right after the passage of this bill. riley will stand by as we watch. >> they just want to compete on a level playing field. the whole intention of title ix was to create more opportunities for women to compete in sports. yet in undermines the very fabric when you say a biological man can play in a woman's sport if they choose to. i think we've seen over and over again how that just flies in the face of common sense that it just doesn't -- it doesn't allow for that same ability for the competition we have gotten so used to and that we enjoy seeing. we want women to be able to
8:25 am
enjoy those same opportunities in sports whether at the high school, college level or even the professional level. so we came together today -- this is something that greg steubey, chairwoman fox, so many others have worked on to say let's just make sure that if women want to compete in sports, men can compete if sports, but men shouldn't be able to compete in women's sports. it's why you have women's sports. it was an important vote today. i think you saw a lot of really strong arguments why we need to reinject common sense into this debate. our whip here, we have the whip, tom emmer. >> thank you, steve. hold it down, hold it down. as a former hockey playerer and court and the countless of training in the off season to
8:26 am
compete at your splat best. imagine being a female athlete who has worked day in and day out to win. you get to the finish line, you tie for first, but then you have to give up your trophy to a biological male. unfortunately it is becoming a reality for more and more female athletes across this great country. the left's lunacy is robbing women and girls of equal opportunities in the name of inclusion. that's why house republicans today passed this bill to protect the safety and fairness that we should have in women's sports and make sure that no female athlete is ever forced to compete against a biological male, period. vetoing this bill as joe biden has threatened to do would be a slap in the face to women's rights, science, and common sense. but in a house republican majority we'll make sure female athletes are given the fairness, safety and opportunities they
8:27 am
deserve. and we aren't going to stop. i want to introduce the lady that shepherded this legislation through the house, virginia fox. >> today republicans are keeping another of our promises and our commitment to america. today we passed the protection of women and girls in sports act. if taken up by senate democrats and signed into law by the president, as he should, forget about vetoing it, it could prove a bipartisan commitment to america's young girls. this bill is historic. over 50 years ago congress passed title ix, a provision of the education amendments of 1972, that was meant to protect women from unfair discrimination. in recent years it has been used for the opposite purpose. radical interpretations of title ix have allowed men to slowly en
8:28 am
reach more and more on women's competitions. american women and girls deserve better than what democrats are doing to them. they deserve not to live in fear of losing a scholarship because a biological male caused them to lose it. they deserve not to live in fear of losing a spot on the roster. they deserve not to live in fear of losing a spot on the podium. that is why today is historic. this is the first step. it starts here by strengthening title ix protections and returning to the promise of 1972. we're committed to protecting women from discrimination and women's sports from exploitation. and now i would like to introduce the sponsor of this bill, representative greg stuebe of florida. >> harris: we have had him on recently. i want to go back to riley
8:29 am
gaines now. this is an important moment. how do you feel? >> i feel grateful for the leadership of the all the co-sponsors of this bill for standing up for women. of course it is almost ironic the left was once a party that embraced women and fought for women's rights and now we have seen the narrative being totally flipped. it shows the war on women is underway and democrats will pay for this in 2024. >> harris: i want to revisit what you were up against as a woman, as ncaa division i athlete. first of all just to pause, it takes a lot to be who you as a student athlete are just in general. you were going up against and just to tell people 2018, 2019 lia thomas, aka william was competing with the men's team before competing against you, riley, ranked 554th in the 200
8:30 am
freestyle. 65th ranking in the 500 freestyle. could not compete against the men and there you two are on the podium. take us back again to the competition between you and lia thomas and why it jarred not just you, not just your team but the entire sport. all of ncaa sports. >> absolutely. so that first day of competition was the 500 freestyle. this was not an event i did. i sat on the side of the pool and watched as lia thomas beat out the most impressive females this country has seen by body lengths. beat every other swimmers in the country by seconds, the 200 freestyle which is what we raced in and resulted in a tie. we went the exact same time. upon tying we go behind the podium the official looks at thomas and myself great job.
8:31 am
you tied. we have one trophy. ist goes to lia. when i questioned him i said why are you adamant giving to trophy to thomas? he has to have the trophy for photo purposes. you can pose with this one. you go home empty-handed. i knew it was wrong but when this official reduced everything that i had worked my entire life for. every girl at that meet had worked their life for down to a photo op for a male that is when i knew i had enough and i was done waiting for someone else to speak out on behalf of female athletes. it hit me as if we weren't willing to stick up for ourselves how could we expect someone else to stick up for us. >> harris: a victory today. i so appreciate you taking us inside your journey.
8:32 am
important to know and remember what is at stake here. so as congresswoman virginia fox just said moments ago this is step one. there are many more steps. you have dedicated your life now. you were going to do something different and you may get to that original dream which was remind us what it was. >> so i was set to be in dental school this year. i had every hope and dream of becoming an dentist but it e i put it aside dental school will be there. the relevance and importance behind this issue seeing firsthand what is at stake if someone doesn't fight for this i realized that opportunity might not always be there and so you are right. i've changed my life plans from what i thought i would be doing. >> harris: god bless you in your struggle and fight and congratulations to you and those on the hill there. we're seeing other athletes at the podium now. women athletes there, too. a big day and we'll see what happens coming down the pike as the biden administration also
8:33 am
wants to somehow manipulate title ix. put in place for all of us women. it will tell a big tale. thank you. >> thank you. >> harris: the white house dodging on why it is taking so long for president biden to speak with china's president xi after he said in february that he would demand answers about the chinese spy craft that flew coast to coast on our continental u.s. and hovered over our u.s. military installations at some point doing figure eights to make sure they got a good look at what they were studying. not the only thing he needs to confront xi about. here is the white house yesterday. >> china is setting up police stations in the u.s. more proof they created covid. reason to think there are more spy balloons than the white house said. why is it taking so long for
8:34 am
president biden to call xi and tell him to cut it out? >> the president intends to call president xi. i don't have a call to read out at this time. look, we've said this before. we believe it is important to maintain open lines of communication with china. >> harris: karine jean-pierre just say you don't know. he didn't tell you. that's the truth. far cry from what the president said two months ago. >> president biden: we'll keep our allies and congress informed of all we know and learn and i expect to be speaking with president xi and i hope we have -- we'll get to the bottom of this. >> harris: when they do finally speak there will be plenty to speak about. i mention the spy craft, the reports of spying cranes. remember you learned about that here on this program. we got into it. they were at our ports and they have ships. what can they report about weapons coming in or anything
8:35 am
that we might put on those cargo ships, they can see potentially. the f.b.i. shutting down a secret chinese police station. we found out from senator rick scott yesterday they have a lot of these in this country, not just that one. and then there is xi's very public romance with russia's putin. the mounting evidence suggesting the origins of covid with a laboratory leak and china's aggression toward taiwan. that's a lot to talk about. mike pompeo is here. fox news contributor, former secretary of state and c.i.a. director under former president trump. great to have you in "focus." look, i gave a laundry list there. i'll take the cue from you. what most should we be concerned about with china at this point? >> harris, thank you for having me on. the things that you described are all things where china is inside the gates, right?
8:36 am
we talk a lots about the threat to taiwan, we talk about the fact that they are holding people in internment camps in the western part of the country. the things that the american people need to be most focused on are the things happening here. these police stations. it is worse than that. they are harassing american citizens who have friends and family members back in their country trying to get them to come back to hold them in detention and question them. this is inside of our country, not something that's happening in a faraway place. the espionage effort isn't new. american people should remember that i directed the closure of the chinese consulate in houston, texas. they were stealing some of america's most important secrets under diplomatic cover. the united states had known about it for a while and done nothing until we were there. this is indecent and steals millions of jobs from americas. stolen billions of international property and issues that affect every american at home are the
8:37 am
things we should be most focused on. >> harris: do you think china wants to go to war with us? >> no, i don't think they want to do it militarily. but i fear that we should listen to xi a little more closely in that he has been at economic war with us for a long time already. never underestimate the economic element of the national security of the united states of america. they've put 300,000 students in our universities. the virus came from this lab. i talked about it in march of 2020 and was excoriated as a racist for doing so. these are efforts to undermine our way of life inside the united states and so the model that we need to have is one of deterrents. you began talking about president biden not talking to xi jinping. wouldn't surprise me if the chinese are refusing to take that call. i don't know. it is the case that president biden needs to be laying out very clearly the things that matter to the united states of
8:38 am
kam -- america. >> harris: cbc anchor spoke about what could happen with taiwan ahead of the air force with someone she was talking with and even then there was an acknowledgement that the militaries were no longer talking, ours and theirs. >> that's not good. these red phones and back door channels to make sure there isn't a miscommunication or mistake are really important. we worked hard on that in the trump administration to make sure we always had a way if there was an incident we could make clear what we were doing or weren't doing or get it from them. i hope that is still alive. i suspect it still is. we should never underestimate that if we undermine our own nation, if our military isn't focused on its core mission, if we're conducting d.e.i. training instead of making sure our pilots can fly aircraft this
8:39 am
puts the deterrents models at risk and xi knows that. >> harris: the way you put it, diplomacy is what you are applying but make no mistake our enemies get it. our militaries have to talk to make sure there is no miscommunication or mistake. they might want to call it a mistake but they look at the shipping lanes outside of taiwan and you know they have a plan. >> they have a plan, you are right. it is a deep plan. we've seen it with their expanded efforts around taiwan. begin to think about how to board ships and close it off and hard for the south koreaians and japanese and americans to sail in the pacific. he has been clear about the great rejove nation of china. xi's intentions are deep. america can get it right. this isn't a lost cause. we can get this right but it
8:40 am
will taken nor mouse american leadership. resolve and transparent, honest communication with the american people about each of these risks. >> harris: i have to tell you, i don't think i'm alone in this. having grown up military sometimes you need a situation room to meet with xi. i wish you were going to biden. somebody else in the room when they do talk for a host of reasons. for all of those we've laid out. it is a lot. all right. god bless this country. great to have you if "focus", thank you. >> bless you. thank you, ma'am. >> harris: americans aren't happy with the economy under president biden and he can't seem to understand and keep to his facts straight on that issue. even the legacy media calling him out on it. it could have some big implications for him when it comes to running for the white house in 2024. veteran homeowners, it's time to fight inflation. use the three p's: plan ahead by getting a va cash out home

8:45 am
>> harris: this fox news alert now. spacex starship rocket exploded above the gulf of mexico today just minutes after lifting off from the launch pad in south texas. the rocket did not reach orbit. however, it was not a total failure. in fact, spacex employees at their headquarters cheered loudly celebrating the fact that
8:46 am
the rocket even made it off the launch pad. it was a major success. [cheering] >> harris: they seem so happy. engineers say they will have a trove of data from the elon musk-owned rocket. it spent four minutes in flight. there you go. love space. a high credit score may now hurt you more than it helps. home buyers are learning hard facts that come with the biden administration being if control. a new biden rule will actually hike your mortgage rates if you borrow with a credit score above 680. you are doing all the right things and fantastic and they slam you with a penalty. somebody has to pay for all the people who can't make it. it moves to subsidize loans for
8:47 am
higher-risk borrowers. you will pay for that. critics call it government overreach that punishes people for being financially responsible. >> it is a direct attempt to inject socialism into the economy. the federal government deliberately interfering with the market in order to force the market to act according to its whims instead of just allowing consumers to decide for themselves. >> harris: fox business correspondent edward lawrence live from the white house with more. i searched. is there a silver lining at all in this? >> i haven't found one as of yet. the biden administration using increased fees to punish those with good credit scores trying to buy a home. this affects people of all income brackets. starting on may one the administration changing the fee schedule to get a mortgage backed by freddy mac and fanny maye. the extra money is shifted to those with poor credit scores.
8:48 am
as interest rates rise to fight inflation the former ceo. mortgage bankers association thinks the change will slow a slowing housing market. >> the buyers better credit worthy borrowers who deserve to get good rates will be stuck paying more because the policy is built on a hope of getting that cross subsidy to work nor effectively. i don't think it will happen. >> bill: after may one a person with a 620 fico score and down payment of 5% gets a 1.75% fee discount on a 30-year mortgage. someone who protected their credit and has a score of 740 for above with a 15 or 20% down payment pays a 1% fee or increase of 75% from the current rules. this applies to mortgages of all sizes which means people making less than $4 hundred thousand a year with good credit will be
8:49 am
paying more. now a white house spokesperson tells me the new fee structure is meant to promote first time ownership. the federal housing finance association has made a series of changes to help those locked out of the opportunity to own a home achieve homeownership. industry experts worry to pun those paying their bills won't expand the economy and suppress homeownership. back to you. >> harris: just at a time when we need people to feel lifted up and move forward with the american dream they crush it again. okay. >> we need that ripple effect in the economy. when you buy a home you buy the other things that need to go inside the home. >> harris: it lifts the economy. thank you very much, edward. >> he talks about the economy all the time. why? why aren't people buying it? >> he wants the american people to know he is doing everything
8:50 am
he can to make sure the policies he has put forward he is building an economy that doesn't leave anybody behind. >> harris: we gave you example of how they won't leave everybody behind. all the people who did the right thing carry everybody else on their backs. the white house is trying to spin president biden's dismal polling on the economy. a survey found nearly 70% of people have a negative view on our current and future economic status. biden's flubs on his own administration's accomplishments are probably not helping. >> president biden: folks, look around at our economic plan is working. we've created more than 12,000 brand-new jobs in two years. that's more than any president in american history created in four years. we've created more 12,000 jobs since i took office. nearly 8,000 of them
8:51 am
