5:00 pm
list of subjects. check it out.>> you would not think it's a funny book. i've proved that it is awesome to joke about subjects that are dark and take that load off. >> i think it's something people can draw a lot from today. it really is number one and it will stay there. kat, congratulations. get some sleep. we will wake up at 4:45. >> that is all for tonight. i'm not just the waters. this is not my world. we hope you have a great friday night. tucker carlson is up next. >> just days before the 2020 election, dozens of former intelligence officials, some very famous people with a lot of credibility, produced a letter claiming hunter bindings recently discovered laptop was from russia. it was likely russian disinformation. that was a lie. we've suspected it's a light for more than 2 years now. number learning that line came direct from joe biden and tony
5:01 pm
blinken. now the secretary of state. that line was election interference. yet there wasn't a single question about the story today at the white house briefing. we by contrast will have all the latest on it just a moment. but first, good evening and welcome to the tucker carlson tonight. for centuries politicians in this country assumed that in order to win an election had to convince voters to vote for you. had to make their case. that was called democracy. the defining strategic inside of the modern democratic party is you don't need to convince anyone of anything. what matters is demographics. you need to import enough people from elsewhere, people that are financially dependent on you in order to live. that's the story in the state of california. that's white california changed. that's why texas is changing. it's also happening at the local level all over the country. democrats have realized that they win the vote in virtually every major city. the suburbs remain contested.
5:02 pm
that matters. suburban voters like school boards and state legislators and of course members of congress. if you want total control over the entire country any demographic change everywhere including in the suburbs. this is a very obvious insight and democrats have been on the case for quite a while. back in 2009 the obama ministration took the county of westchester in new york, a solidly democratic place to court. why did they do that? the administration held tens of millions of dollars in federal funding unless westchester pledged to build 10,000 low income high density apartments in their suburbs. the obama ministration invented a rule required to take affirmative steps to diversify the neighborhoods unless they will lose federal money. when he took office, joe biden through his support group home act. the home act would allow the federal government to withhold funds among local governments if they didn't find ways to add high-rise apartments or high density zoning to suburbs.
5:03 pm
specifically the act would prevent local governments from enacting, kamc ordinances that ban apartment buildings insert residential areas are set the minimum lot size for single family home. so, you can't be safe innately feet suburban anymore it has to be urbanized. the home act has stalled in congress and never become law. the vitamin administration to give up because democracy didn't produce the results. they still plan to change the suburbs forever by getting rid of them. joe biden's hud secretary marcia fudge former member congress's lane last year the administration was concerned that african-americans cannot force homes. not because they're poor, because home appraisers are racist. watch. >> what the president has said is we have to look at everything through a lens of equity. what we have released is people selling homes just are the people you were talked about and people buying homes. if they are appraisal is not correct what do we find especially as a black people in communities of color and underserved communities is we
5:04 pm
lose great wealth just through the appraisal process. >> notice here the seizing of the moral high ground big picture. if the party ministration got about african americans they probably wouldn't withdrawal the police were american cities. corsi don't care. in point of fact former congressman marcia fudge clip you saw provided no evidence whatsoever that their white supremacist home appraisers in this country or that they are running amok. if they exist, who are they? she couldn't tell us. she offered this antidote. >> lived 2 doors from all white community. other than all black community. my house is larger than the house 2 doors from me. my lot is larger than the house 2 doors with me. my house is 2000 doors less than 2 doors from me. once we can own up to the fact that we are continuing to discriminate and redline in our
Check
5:05 pm
housing efforts. i think we can make sure we can start to deal with the racial welfare again. >> yeah. so, as a left is often telling you, and antidote is not a study. noticing something around you doesn't make it universally true. you prove nothing and he merely told us a story. marcia fudge's lived experience tells her that there is racism and home appraisals. still no data on that. there's no other defendants whatsoever. it's at this point completely made up. but, kamala harris is convinced completely. at least she was last year. >> the home appraisal workforce is one of the least diverse in our nation. less than 5 percent of home appraisers in america are people of color. this lack of diversity can introduce both conscious and unconscious biases. that makes home appraisals less accurate and less fair.
Check
5:06 pm
our administration will now require those who conduct appraisals for federal programs must take part in antivirus, fair housing and fair lending training. [applause] there are solutions, there are solutions. >> were to just brainwash the home appraisers. we are gonna put them in biased training. really? if you wanted more black home appraisers by when you start a program to train them? no. the only job training program this administration has got behind in 2 and half years is getting black people to sell more weed in the cities. literally. were legalizing weed at work to make sure that we dispensaries have african american owners. not training anyone to be home appraisers. by the way, the premise is on self improvement that home appraisers are racist? why do we think that?
5:07 pm
there is zero evidence. that's a slur against home appraisers.why do they deserve this abuse? they don't. they're not hurting anyone. they are accounting types. why does a ministry should call them racist? they are. they have been for more than a year. once again that using fake allegations of racism as a pretext for a political plan. in this case the plan is to flood the suburbs with voters they believe will support the democratic party. it super simple. they don't deserve the moral high ground. kamala harris is a speak on behalf of black people. that isn't mean that they're right. no one is stopping them. without any vote congress dividing menstruation is just introducing rule, not a law, a rule that will punish americans who try to do the right thing. punish people with high credit scores. people with high credit scores will pay higher fees on their mortgage payments to subsidize people who haven't maintained good credit.
5:08 pm
so these rules take effect on may 1 whether you like it or not. they mean that anyone with good credit, which is a score of 680 and above will roughly have to pay $40 a month extra on their mortgage fees than those with lower scores on home loans under 400 grand. here's an example. if you have a fica score of 620 you get a 1.75 percent discount on your mortgage fees. if you have a 740 score, in other words you pay your bills on time and on the right thing you're a good citizen. you have to pay one percent more. you don't get a discount for doing the right thing and paying your bills. you get punished. we are incentivizing bad behavior. we are hurting the good people. since the day you were born you have been told pay your debts. it's not your money you borrowed it from someone else and you have to pay back. if you don't it's stealing. now were saying if you don't still work and hurt you.
5:09 pm
in real life that means over the course of a 30 year mortgage for a $400,000 home, that's a swing of more than $14,000. they are claiming racism to justify this. black americans of the only racial group in this country with average credit scores under 680. why is that? we don't know. whites, hispanics, asians have higher credit scores. the mortgage for african-american borrowers is higher than the overall ablation. it's a double in this country's biggest markets. that's why the suburbs have different demographics from cities. that's called economics. if you want to change that you would encourage people to have good spending habits and pay back their debt. they don't care about that. making people happier and getting them out of debt. no, they want to change his subgroups, make him denser so the be more reliably democratic voting. that's the bottom line. it's always about election results. it's always about power. it's not improving anyone's
5:10 pm
life. meanwhile, the democratic parties and donors private equity, of course are happy it will be harder for americans with good credit to buy homes. why? because that will mean more renters. renters of homes they own. >> homeownership is increasingly out of reach. >> in our portfolio the majority cannot buy home, cannot buy a home or don't have credit to buy the homes. they can be asked a lot of millennial's that tends to be our primary resident, they would probably tell you they don't necessarily desire to own a home or to own a car. they've grown up in the sharing economy and from what's important to them is lifestyle. they can move into this, what we call a turnkey or hotel ready home and to have a low maintenance lifestyle. that's very compelling for them. >> people don't want to own anything. they want to be the don't want to be penniless and poverty. that's what they want. do you own anything? mr. oligarch guy? i never asked.
5:11 pm
stephanie fell boy is it economists and macro maven she joins us. stephanie, thank you for coming on. as always the beneficiaries of these games are never the people they tell you they are. over the oppressed, the hopeless.it's always the donors are buying up residential homes and turning them into rental properties. that's who's winning. democratic donors. >> you think? i'm reminded of that old expression. those who refuse to remove from history are due to repeated. we try this exercise under george bush when they decided we needed to create homeownership society and the bush administration in conjunction with fannie mae and freddie mac you will recall, franklin reames and barney frank all got in and decided we needed to make it easier for people to become homeowners. we all remember how well that whole situation worked out.
5:12 pm
i would argue the situation is even more sinister than what you outlined in terms of trying to get people to move to the suburbs and basically control them into homeownership. we are on the doorstep of a another deflating home bubble right now. essentially what they are doing is they are encouraging people to stretch into homes that they couldn't otherwise afford, precisely as the floor is about to fall out from underneath them. as prices decline. we got existing home sales as reported by the national association of realtors yesterday. it reflects the second back to back month of declining home prices. it's here already. we have seen sales volumes just collapse at a speed that is even faster than we saw during the housing bubble bust. that presages equally substantial decline on crisis. i think again for only the second time in our ur history
5:13 pm
seat nationwide home prices line. this idea that now is the time to encourage people who can't otherwise afford to get into homes, to do so is really, really dangerous. these people will probably be underwater in their homes before they even get the keys. then what? then what kind of policy will they prescribe? i shudder to imagine. it goes without saying tucker or it should, the reason homes are increasingly unaffordable for people is because we have spent over a decade pushing money into this economy with reckless monetary and fiscal policy that inflated a massive bubble in housing but now the fed is raising rates to dampen. you have a combination of inflated home prices and higher interest rates that have made it unaffordable if not racism it's making homes unaffordable.
5:14 pm
it's reckless policy and their layering more reckless policy on top to solve it. >> so nicely put. so nicely put stephanie, i appreciate you coming on tonight. thank you. >> my pleasure. thank you tucker. >> you will remember the one debate of the 2020 election, joe biden said on stage that the laptop story, his son's laptop was " russian disinformation kamc. that's ludicrous.he was able to say dozens of formal high-level and famous intelligence officials to prove he was right. our learning what we suspected all along. that was a lie and it was a lie that came from joe biden announced secretary of state tony blinken. that was election interference. amazingly not one reporter asked a question about that story in today's white house briefing. return now as we always do with gratitude to fox's kevin cork to fill in the blanks. hey kevin . >> good to see my friend. this is quite a story. michael morel testified before the house judiciary and intel
5:15 pm
committees during the testimony he revealed not only to the biden campaign help to strategize about the public release of the now infamous statement. secretary of state antony blinken was a senior advisor of the campaign was the impetus about public statement signed back in october 2020 that implied the laptop belonging to hunter biden was russian disinformation. it's gets worse. 51 intel officials including men like john brennan, james klapper who has relied before congress. then on to the letter claiming it had kamc all the classic earmarks of a russian information operation. now, congressional leaders including judiciary chair jim jordan and intel chair mike turner are asking blinken to explain himself. demanding he not only identify the people with whom he communicated about drafting the statement. they want him to produce all
5:16 pm
the documents referring to it. they're giving him until may 4 at 5 pm to comply. critics add this to further underscore the increasingly worrisome ties. between the security state the democratic party. deputy director morel testified not only did he help the biden campaign not only to the help with the letter, he said he did so in part because he wanted to help them win the election. tucker. ask what a story. kevin cork. thank you for that. it's been nearly a month since a trend gender terrorism murdered 7 people at a christian school. the fbi and local police are still hiding that shooter's manifesto from the public. you're not allowed to see it. why is that? more next. >> earlier this month amount

5:22 pm
points here about to hear it and marinate in it. interestingly the fbi metro nashville police are still refusing to release any information about the motives behind the murder of children at a christian school several weeks ago. the manifesto written by the trans gender us now shooter remains hidden from the rest of us. the public cannot say that. why? clay travis is a founder of okay. he's off the the ãoh. thanks for coming on. you would think in a free country you would be allowed to know why something like this happened? why can't we know? >> i think because it doesn't fit the narrative. thanks for having me on tucker., born and raised nashville young. this hits particularly close to me. i've got 3 kids in school in nashville. like any parent would hear stories like this in your heart stops. that's white we need to do everything we can to prevent another shooting like this. why did this shooter target
5:23 pm
this particular location? what can we learn from that targeting? how do we help to prevent this from happening anywhere else? until we know the motivations of the shooter and we can debate and discuss them, it's very hard to figure out how to guarantee that this does not happen again. so, look, if this were a donald trump supporting marga had wearing, right wing lunatic who had committed this murder and wrote a anifesto justifying it based on his support for donald trump at fox news, the "washington post" and new york times would have the story 30 minutes after police and the fbi were able to review it. as you said in the tease, it's been nearly a month. monday will mark 4 full weeks since this attack happened. it's on it's usable. it's indefensible. there's no justification whatsoever for the american public not to have had access
