what we desperately need to have the research funds allocated to determine how to figure that out. how we get early detection test for the cancer. >> you're saying unfortunately it's in advanced stages when you do detected. so what is happening in the body? how do you know that's was going on inside? if you are the patient you know. >> often women who have ovarian cancer figured out once it's gotten far and spread to other abdomen because of having symptoms like pain, other complaints like gastrointestinal complaints they feel bloated. and it many times women go to multiple doctors and show up in emergency rooms over and over again until someone finally takes a look with a cat scan or some other modality that that identifies a while we have a problem here. the times we can prevent a very cancer early is when we either get lucky with somebody who has pain from say a mass is confined

to the ovary that is less co common. or perhaps that woman knows she has a genetic mutation that could lead her to have ovarian cancer and able to take risk reduction early. for the general population we don't have that test. >> can you do genetic testing to find out where is that available to everybody? >> universal genetic testing is not available to everyone yet. it's something you can look into your family history by family history what type of cancer? we can often get clues. this is a family that would get genetic testing. the universal genetic testing to be an excellent strategy and again what identify all cancers. it is something that would help us identify many of the genetic cancers we could catch earlier if we knew we were at risk for
