how do you cashback? >> we are out of time. >>. [applause] >> >> good evening and welcome to america's latent news. fox news at night. i am trace gallagher in los angeles. breaking tonight president biden will make it official throwing his hat into the presidential election but if the 80-year-old commander-in-chief wants four more years he will need to overcome some serious headwinds. the white house correspondence is at the nations capital with more of the announcement. kevin, good evening.
9:01 pm
>> a video announcement from mr. biden could come as early as tuesday announcing his run for reelection but many americans including a large trunk of democrats are concerned for his future. the white house is touchy about the growing drumbeat that he not run again and consider the following the white house is going the extra mile reporters questions about issues where they are left out of unofficial white house transcripts of a rose garden event. >> why should america give you four more years? >> stay tuned. well. the past couple of years? at any rate it's all unfortunate somewhat argue. timing for mr. biden with the latest nbc news survey showing the majority of americans just don't think it's a good idea for an 80-year-old to leave the parties bid for a white house. asked if they thought biden should run again an astounding 70 percent said no he shouldn't run and half of those people
9:02 pm
said his age was a major reason why. and there is more. if, perhaps the driving force behind his relative success is gone, then what? a surprise announcement on that in today from the white house per the domestic policy advisor susan rice is out. she recently came under fire, you probably heard following a report from the new york times that the former un ambassador was keenly aware that many of the migrant children the administration quickly released into the country were forced into grueling jobs. meanwhile for the talk about solving the violence problem to gun violence problem the president inexplicably has not met with any of the victims of the covenant school shooting in nashville although he did take time to meet with the nashville three lawmakers who were sanctioned by state house republicans or noisily demanded
9:03 pm
certain gun-control laws. so still no conversation and i think that's rubbing people the wrong way. >> it has not gone unnoticed. kevin thank you. let's bring in the president and partner of man's laskey partners. lee carter. kevin was talking about these polls this is the first one. should biden run again? i will put these up back to back. the numbers are big. no, 70 percent and you go to does age play a factor? you add those columns you get 69 percent saying yes. age plays a factor in my concern is unlike the economy and unlike foreign-policy the age thing just keeps getting worse. assuming there is no doubt about it the age thing certainly does get worse. and his performance making it not just about age.
9:04 pm
i think it's about his mental acuity. is he able to do the job? and quite frankly his job approval numbers are on the decline constantly.so i think he has some real issues that are well beyond age that really he cannot address. >> we will let you get some water and this is the "wall street journal". i'm sorry the "washington post". across eight national polls in 2022 and 2023 an average of 38 percent of democrats want biden to be the parties presidential nominee in 2024. biden is the only person who has defeated trump international election but many democrats saw him as a caretaker president who would make way for a new generation of leaders. it's kind of like you know what, you thought he was going to be a caretaker and now you get what you get. >> yes i think a lot of people expected it to be smooth sailing into somebody else the next generation. that is now they are seeing. there are a few other polls i am focused on as well. joe biden had 85 percent of
9:05 pm
voters who voted for him and approve of him but i'm sorry 43 percent are less excited to vote for him again. less likely to vote for him again and that is really bad news and that is in sharp contrast to donald trump who had a 93 percent approval rating among people who voted for him and 45 percent of voters are more enthusiastic about voting for him this year than they were last time. >> you go to the flip side of the island you look at some of the republicans in the primary and it's interesting. you look at the numbers and of course president trump is leaving with 46 percent and you have ron desantis and he is down there with 31 percent. i think it's a big number lead for desantis and mike pence and they are having trouble gaining traction. it looks like this early he is pulling big numbers. what are your final thoughts? >> i think there is no question about it.
9:06 pm
538 did an analysis of primary runners and you break 30 percent in the polls a year in advance you are more likely to become that candidate there are two republicans breaking that number that's an important number. desantis and trump.in trump being as volatile as he is, i think it's a good opportunity for desantis. i think we're seeing him travel overseas to make the case why he should be the next president of the united states. >> lee carter, thanks for coming on. we appreciate it very strong right now to the hunter bios investigation and irs whistleblower claims to have corroborating evidence damaging to hunter biden that the doj inspector general might be looking at. lawyers for the president's son are prepping to meet with the justice department matt finn digging into all of that he joins us tonight. matt, good evening.
9:07 pm
>> hunter biden's lawyers are set to meet with doj officials but fox news officials is told this meeting is not related to the current irs whistleblower who claims the investigation into hunter biden is being mishandled but biden's attorney say they requested this meeting weeks ago fox news was told hunter biden is being investigated for 2 misdemeanor tax filing charges, felony tax evasion and another felony for making false statements about a gun purchase. this irs agent whistleblower has come forward over budging there are clear conflicts of interest and that investigation is president biden gears up for a reported run for reelection white house has denied any conflicts in hunter biden's attorneys are ramping up their attorneys. one of biden's attorneys roach of the treasury department today alleging a former trump white house gate illegally obtained and posted online suspicious activity reports about hunter biden. republicans and democrats are pressing for answers in a seemingly never ending investigation.
9:08 pm
>> the american people should care about public corruption. that's what i have been investigating. >> if there are any charges brought we will discuss them. at this time i think this is a long going federal investigation which i hope will reach a conclusion at some point soon. >> hunter biden's attorney roach of the congressional ethics office requesting an investigation into marjorie tyler green for alleged defamatory statements. >> five years long it starts to heat up a little bit more. thank you. >> at least the six months that hunter biden has been living in the white house hunter biden seems to be at the white house prayed he is always there and we know that he moved out of his place in malibu some time ago that was being paid for. >> very seldom does a day go by where more information on another whistleblower doesn't come forward for the biden family records come forward to
9:09 pm
prove the fact that they were taking money from our adversaries around the world for reasons that we have not yet determined. >> reasons we have not determined let's bring in the criminal defense and trial attorney brian, it's great to have you on the knee, denominator question seems to be why has hunter biden been able to skate for some five years. andy mccarthy said the gun offenses are so straightforward they would take a competent investigator five days not five years some of the tax offenses which stretch back seven years or more are so undeniable that lanes were placed on hunters property and has been widely reported he borrowed thousands of dollars from a crony to pay what he owed the government yet here we are five years later. >> i'm a big clippers fan and looks like the clippers might win a championship before hunter biden gets indicted for anything great >> that's a big bet. i agree. >> i hope we are still alive before that happened but this is serious stuff.
9:10 pm
president trump was indicted by a politically motivated gentleman named alvin bragg for essentially bookkeeper fraud. so now we get these felony charges against hunter biden and it's no big deal. senator durbin dumps the whistleblower complaint in a bucket with a bunch of other complaints. we will get to it. this is really serious stuff. you have allegations by a whistleblower there is favoritism going on the protocol is not being followed. >> he has corroborating evidence and may be the doj general inspector is looking at the evidence as we sit here and talk. >> on top of that this whistleblower has potential evidence that a high ranking official lied at a congressional committee hearing. you don't think that should be taken seriously? that proves the fact that people are tired. they want equal justice for all and this is not equal justice.
9:11 pm
>> i want to move ahead to this 51 inch l this letter is fascinating because it got a little coverage in the first couple of days. this is the letter the 51 inch l official said hunter biden laptop had all the hallmarks of russian disinformation now we know went back to the biden campaign. fox news.com writes a former cia official testified. that biden campaign senior advisor now secretary of state anthony lincoln ? officials that claim hunter biden laptop was part of a russian disinformation. this thing changed the face of the campaign. >> that's exactly right and that's hypocrisy. president trump is indicted for allegedly trying to influence the election with this hush payment to stormy daniels but you have this one with 51
9:12 pm
people involved flat out lying about this being russia propaganda to influence the election but nothing is done with that in trump is facing criminal charges. if that's not a double standard in our justice system than there never will be. >> you have defenders saying on page 8 that we didn't really have the information with the headline was all the hallmarks of russian disinformation and candidate biden repeated that in the debate and that seemed to sway the media. >> that's fiction if you don't have the information to influence the election don't propagate this false information. >> good to have you. >> we have new pictures tonight of powerful new york democrats chuck schumer and eric adams
9:13 pm
rubbing elbows with a criminal defendant suspected of operating a secret chinese station in new york city. we are in new york with that story. jackie, good evening. >> good evening. senator schumer was not limited to take questions about this breaking story. listen very do you regret attending that last month and getting photos taken with the suspected ccp agent? >> schumer faces mounting scrutiny at his appearance at a gala last month alongside suspected chinese communist agent. new york city mayor eric adams was also at the event and interacted with long he was arrested for the 61-year-old is the member of the chinese nonprofit association that the fbi said was a front for them to run a secret chinese police station in new york city's chinatown. china experts warned the ccp is operating a network of secret police stations, home hometown associations or cultural nonprofits designed not only to intimidate and harass chinese nationals but to try to influence us politicians. records show that his

codefendant made some $32,000 in political donations to new york democrats including mayor adams and governor in a statement the spokesperson told fox news senator schumer attended the gala like he has in years past and he never met or did not know who he was and mayor adams in the governor's office they say they will return or donate the political contributions made to them by the 2 suspected ccp agent. >> jackie. thank you.first up into nights crime round up a woman in new york was throwing trash around the bronx pretty man confronted her but she kept also the massacre posture and mayor eric adams was a few feet away attending an earth day event.the woman tried to go after the man who hit her but eventually she just walked away. >> in crime-ridden chicago to teenagers allegedly stole a

9:19 pm
we are unclear what the next move might be. your thoughts on this one. >> it is sad that we are seeing this again. this is the third embassy we have seen closed in the last 18 months and what are we going to do about it? we are doing the same thing as always we are getting out the diplomats in gettamerican citiz behind. what i am seeing and hearing from the administration of the left-leaning media we are calling them jewels citizens instead of americans. whether they hold dual citizenship or not they are americans and they should be treated as such and have full support of this administration and the rest of america. >> they should have the right to leave if they so choose on this is the thing the "washington post" writes the following. the attack planning detailed in us intelligence findings leaked on the discord messaging platform reveals specific efforts to target embassies, churches, business centers in the fifa world cup soccer
