there's a lot of buttons and knobs in here. >> good evening welcome to america's latent news. fox news at night. breaking tonight in arizona democratic lawmaker caught on camera stealing bibles from her fellow lawmakers. wait until you hear why. screaming the head of the nation's largest teachers union tells congress during covid she had a direct line to the top of the cdc and we began with the happiest place on earth infuriated with governor rhonda santos and the battle will end

up in the courtroom around campaign time. >> today the house of mouse sued governor rhonda santos after a board he recently appointed to oversee disney voted to nullify 2 contracts is signed with disney in the company claims those contracts laid the foundation for billions of investment dollars and thousands of investment jobs disney is asking a judge to overturn lord's ability to oversee the company writing this company was retaliatory and antibusiness and unconstitutional. the governor and its allies have made clear they do not care and will not stop. anime desantis spokesperson writes back we are unaware of any legal writer company has to operate its own government and maintain special privileges held by other businesses in the state. for decades disney has had its

expected to launch an exploratory committee in may and jump to the presidential race. >> let's get legal analysis and law professor john hugh. i want to play dueling close with you this is from the disney lawsuit.a targeted campaign of government retaliation orchestrated at every step by governor desantis as punishment for disney's protected speech now threatens the disney operation jeopardizes economic future in the region and violates his constitutional rights. would you think about that? >> i think this will be a hard case for disney to make out because what's been going on is for decades and decades they have been making millions and millions of dollars from getting this special deal a sweetheart deal where basically they run their own government
9:04 pm
in this county. so the hard thing for disney to prove his will in florida took that special privilege away and made disney like everybody else who has a company in florida where they really punishing disney for its point of view on the don't say gay bill or dosage of spring to attention something they have paid a lot of focus on what a sweetheart deal disney got. it will be hard for disney to fight that incorporate >> and the desantis office says the following in their response, the lawsuit is yet another unfortunate example of their help to undermine the will of the florida voters operate outside the bounds of the law and as you were saying disney did for a long time. outside the law. >> disney is not having any

property taken away from it or any theme parks interfered with and all they want to do a say in the future disney doesn't just get to have its own rules and run its own government. you have to go to a county government or a florida government to get the same business every other government gets. and if sweetheart had some sweetheart deal saying they will have to pay taxes ever forever and ever. of course the state can go back and renegotiate and we think that's what his best argument will be and that's all florida's doing. >> and i want to switch a case to a grandmother who had her home seized by the state. here is a quick update from mike emanuel. 9:06 pm
>> in the county took her property and made a profit with the surplus equity and it belongs to her. what is your take on this john? >> i have to disclose i am on the board of who is representing the little grandma. we love her, she's a great plaintiff but this should be an easy case for the supreme court. the government is entitled to take property taxes and if you don't pay you can sell the house but what the constitution says the government can't take your property, it can't take the leftover money and that should go back to the property owner.it's hard to see what case the government can make to defend itself it all the state is doing in minnesota is kicking up delay after delay and so they don't have to vindicate their rights in court. >> this will be a tough one for the states to win. in the meantime talking about

9:09 pm
request indicates a bit of close coordination between the aft, the american federation of teachers, the nea, the national education association and the cdc to keep schools shuttered much longer than many health experts deem necessary. and i'm going to quote a gop congresswoman. the effect on children has been vast and to have no remorse on closing schools and keeping them closed for the length of time is unconscionable. according to iowa's marionette miller make she is a congresswoman and also a medical doctor and a former director of the iowa department of public health. for the record the american journal of pediatrics as children pose very little risk of transmission of covid and that appears to be the case and anschools were closed for an awfully long time. >> we have said that again and again. let's get reaction to the hearing from the author of the book, woke army, it's always great to have you on.
9:10 pm
kevin was articulating for us there, bullied and taunted parents for three years and today you would have thought she was the children's best friend. here she is one more time and i will get your reaction. >> our priorities were to open schools safely. to keep students and staff and family safe great to focus on student social emotional and academic well-being and to get the resources for this. >> it's a different tail these days. your thoughts. >> and just reacting to this, i could feel the breath go out of you just like with the parents across the country because she had her most patronizing kindergarten teacher voice on. right? she is talking down to us.as if we don't remember what was happening over these last three years. she campaign for president biden. she campaigned for terry macola trying to run for governor. she campaigned against parents and she yelled and screamed at us.
9:11 pm
she had a lot of documents but one document she didn't show was this one. this is a 990 for the american federation for teachers. it's the tax filing for 2020. how much money can you guess how much money? >> i couldn't guess. >> $200 million. 200 million. and how much did she make? she made 500,000+ dollars and she uses teachers as a human shield for her negligence.she failed students everywhere. >> i want to put this on the screen.i want to play this because it shows the coziness about the direct line she had. >> i am a member of congress on two committees that deal with this the cdc. i don't have a direct number to director wilensky, do you?

9:14 pm
the biggest goal of equitable grading appears to be to alleviate the pressure and classrooms. it's hard to relax with all those deadlines principal instead of deadlines to this are given multiple opportunities to complete tests and assignments up until the last day of class if needed. the theory is it makes no sense to test a kid who is not ready. common sense wonders how do you know the kid is not ready unless you test them? we are told that equitable grading has led to a decrease of d's and f's. it's also led to a decrease in a's. common sense thanks to progressive schools that are coming more like progressive societies, mired in mediocrity. but low stress mediocrity. >> first step in tonight's crime roundup 4 inmates escape a mississippi jail over the weekend. three of them are on the run.

9:17 pm
conducting these types of cases on the white-collar side, many times you have a subject or a defendant and you as an fbi agent have conducted a very thorough investigation you have evidence of a crime that may have been committed and you have such mounting evidence that the defendant comes into the office and you could potentially have what we call a reverse proffer you as an fbi agent will sit down with the defendant and their attorney and say this is what we have on you and do you want to proceed with maybe a plea agreement or information, there's different things that could transpire. i'm not sure what happened in that meeting but that is a possibility they want to understand what evidence you have and the possible steps that can be taken. >> we know the fbi inside is very frustrated because the work on this case was done more than a year ago and still there is nothing so talk about that

frustration if you might. >> there are so many crimes being committed and if you are being tasked to conduct an investigation were investigating it leaving no stone unturned and you are thorough, you get the evidence that when you have the evidence and you know you can take it before a grand jury and you believe you can get a true bill, an indictment, it's time to charge and you present the evidence to the us attorney's office and they review the evidence and when they deem it appropriate they are the ones who make the prosecutorial appearance. as a special agent with the fbi as always it makes the prosecutorial decision is extremely frustrating to have done all of this work, gather the evidence and know that you have what is sufficient to prove and nothing happens. i can imagine how these agents

one was found in the refrigerator prayed the speaker had a security camera installed to try to solve the mystery and there is hamilton taking bibles during a session and shoving them under two sofas. she didn't respond to questions from the press later issuing a statement she is a minister and obviously she doesn't have a problem with the bible. compare that to this tweet from a few years ago where she said i got into politics because i was so angered by the number of bibles on the desk at the arizona state house. holding a bible doesn't make you a good person. it doesn't sound like she has a problem with all bibles just ones and places of government. >> that's a fascinating story. marianne, thank you. >> one of sudan's main bio labs filled with deadly viruses is under the control of armed fighters and there's concern about the release of a germ bomb doctor mark siegel joins us with more on that next in america long jumper has been stripped of her national title after testing positive for cannabis which is not performance-enhancing and is legal in 38 states.
