style. authorities say they have now pinpointed the accused killer's location to a wooded area less than 2 miles west of the horrific crime scene. the shooting happened around 11:30 last night in small texas town of cleveland, 45 miles north of houston. san jacinto county sheriff identified suspect of francisco, mexican national. he allegedly had been drinking and firing an ar15 style riffle in his yard last night. known to law enforcement apparently they have talked to him before about shooting a gun in his yard. sheriff caper says last night a neighborhood told a baby was trying to sleep and asked him to stop firing his gun, but that clearly did not go over well. >> the only thing i can tell you right now and mind that this is still early in the investigation, one of the -- the victims came out of the house

and said, hey, we have a small baby that's trying to sleep and the man said i will shoot out in my front yard and do what i want to in my own residence. christina: instead of putting down his weapon, sheriff caper the suspect shot 5 people in the neighbor's house execution style, 3 women, 2 men and 8-year-old boy were killed. the victims range in age to 8 to 40 year's old. they were all from honduras. ten people at the time. two of the victims were covering two children in an apparent effort to protect them from all the gunfire. fortunately those kids were not hurt. the sheriff is now urging people to stay alert as they search for the suspect. >> just stay in your house, be vigilant, keep your eyes open. if you see anything say something. make sure that you call 9-1-1, call the sheriff's office with the picture that we have provided. this man is very dangerous and he is armed.

ahead and spend air operations and ground aviation units and soldiers able to get training. the move grounds all aviators except those participating in critical mission. after two mid-air collusions killed a dozen soldiers. the most recent crash happened earlier this week on thursday. two army helicopters and injuring a fourth. we are told the soldiers who were part of the first attack, 25th aviation regular men at fort wayne alaska were on the way back from training when the fatal accident happened. military investigators are for expected to revive at the crash site today. in a statement by the 11th airborne division, our hearts and prayers go out to their families, friends and loved ones and we are making the full resources of the army available

what they get, who knows. scott, i will throw this one to you now. president biden has announced he's running for reelection. the new york times calls it biden quiet reelection strategy. do you think his 2024 campaign will look like 2020 campaign? >> 2024 campaign has to be different because we are in the middle of covid and i can see that. now he's older and he has got to have the vigor and energy to get out there and campaign. rich: does he have it. the democrats while many don't want him to run, you can call it age discrimination and has rurecord behind him and much lie gop, they want to see a republican in the white house. that's why they are backing trump. the rematch has to do with trump's indictments and whether there are other indictments.

molly: university of north carolina professors are speaking out against their governing boards and the state's general assembly after what they are calling violations of the university's academic freedom. nearly 700 un faculty members signed public letter this week opposing legislation that would require students to take courses on america's history and founding documents as well as eliminate tenure. two issues here. i'm joined now by unc professor and coauthor of that faculty's public letter jay smith as well as north carolina state representative and the cosponsor of the nc house bills, both the bills, 96 and 715. jeff mcneily, thank you gentlemen, for joining us saturday afternoon to start

dialogue. representative mcneily why you decide today do this, why at the college level the foundational documents are something one would hope many of the students that are attending unc would have read in high school, the constitution, declaration of independence, they are absolutely foundational documents, part of american history. why do you think it's important that they are included in college course in unc and the collaborating universities? >> i think really the problem here is that they're not that well versed in these documents. constantly i have young people reach out to my office and call me just like you have unfortunately congressman instead of representative they don't understand the difference between our state and federal government and i think they're not very well versed and they talk about a democracy that they are trying to save when we are a republic. i feel like that either at the grade school level, high school level, these documents have not

been talked about near enough. they do not understand their history of this great country and i'm afraid that we are raising generation after generation of basically young people that have no idea how this country was fought for and founded. molly: now i want to bring our professors, professor smith, you are among hundreds, hundreds of unc professors that joined together to push back against this effort writing in this letter, our leaders continue to disregard campus autonomy and attack expertise and world-class faculty and seek to force student educations in preapproved ideological containers. we must protect the principles of academic freedom and shared governs. now, there's no doubt unc is an elite institution. one of the oldest public universities. so why have the professors

banded together on this issue to push back? >> well, there are a couple of reasons. well, it seems to us that this is an unprovoked assault on the autonomy on the university systems. unc chapel hill and the rest of the unc system has functioned very well, has performed very well for the state of north carolina for well over a century and we've been leaders, particularly in the south but across the country. we've been leaders and have performed very well. so it just seems like -- seems to us that this is -- this is reflecting some idealogue call priority or imperative rather than addressing a problem which doesn't actually exist. i mean, our students in our history department, something like a third, maybe even more of the faculty in our department specialize in american history and their classes fill up every

semester. we have lots and lots of students studying american history at unc chapel hill. and, you know, and this they are learning at the feet of experts. that's what's the central thing, the central claim that we want to make, we ask that our expertise would be acknowledged and respected. we were hired to teach at these institutions because we've established ourselves as experts in our fields and although i respect the passion of the representative and other representatives in our legislature for carrying about history, that's a wonderful thing. i just ask that they trust the experts who teach american history to design stimulating and exciting courses in american history because we know how to do it. molly: representative mcneily i

would to bring you back here. there's another issue at stake here that an attempt is being made to eliminate tenure at unc and to require minimum class sizes, your thoughts on that and any accusation that is that can be punitive in a sense? >> as far as what we are trying to do here with the tenure is real simple. we have a lot of professors, like i said, close to 700 that signed the petition. i don't know exactly how many professors they have at unc but that gets it down to about 35 kids to each professor that signed this petition so i'm starting to question here and i don't think all of the professors signed it, i guess my question is, how many professors do we have at unc chapel hill and maybe we have too many, maybe we don't but this seems to be a pretty large crowd. tenure to me should be something that should be earned and it is but also cherished and i don't

think that you should do research all of the time. we hire you to teach children to teach our youth and see a lot of them that are teaching maybe one class a semester because of their tenure and the rest of the time supposedly devoted to research. not sure what research they are working on. some valid and maybe some not so much. we are making sure that everybody comes in and does a good day's work and teaches the youth that we have in our state of north carolina. molly: i want to give the professor time to react, what they are trying to seek is oversight. your thoughts on eliminating tenure and also the class-size issue. >> well, off the top of my head i can't tell you exactly what our average class size is but it's -- it's in the neighborhood probably of 20 students, 25 students per class on average, you know, there's a great variety of class sizes.

but what's important about tenure, you know, is that -- is that it protects professors who do actually engage in very valuable research on a regular basis, research that helps drive the economy at the state of north carolina and -- and the country. it allows them the freedom not to have to deal with political interference. it allows them to freedom to pursue their research agendas that they have developed with the expertise that they have acquired over the years over the decades. it allows them to pursue their research agendas and their teaching agendas because we all do a lot of teaching and a lot of research without having to worry about, you know, looking over our shoulders to -- wondering whether a politician or some -- a corporate interest or some other outside actor is going to try to intervene in the

>> the u.s. army ordering a service wide aviation standdown following string of helicopter accidents that have left a dozen soldiers dead. for more on this we are joined by retired army lieutenant general keith kellogg and also chairman of america first policy institute for american security. general, thanks very much for joining us this afternoon. to get into these accidents, what do you think is the cause here, do you think the pilots are getting enough training hours and do you think the army is right to pause nonessentially aviation? >> rich, thank you very much for having me. let's go back who is running the army, that's general, aviator, special opts, he's ordering standdown, he's seeing something that's concerning to him. i think part of it is the amount of training that they are getting in tough situations. training is hard, you have to train in the army in the military very close to the margin because that's how you do it, you train for combat. and if you don't train close to

margin, you have problems, you are starting to see -- are they getting as much time as they need in the cockpit flying missions especially at night. the accidents are happening in darkness on areas -- time of limited visibility. and they've got to train for those because that's how we fight in the american army. we used to have the saying we own the night, meaning we can fight better than anybody else with night vision goggles. i think they are smart. they have to see how much training they are getting. a lot of the aviators are very young. they were flying well too close to each other. they are supposed to have some separation. not like a black hawk. apache is a different aircraft. rich:s? this is something that they

-- the army is investigating. >> they always come with a reason which is good and they need to go forward and train better in the future. we have had accidents in the past. it does happen. let's make sure it's not the lack of training hours or lack of experience by aviators in the cockpit. rich: iran has seized turkish-owned tanker, are we seeing an increase in iran? >> every presidential decision has consequences and the decisions every time i was in the white house they are very hard. there's no easy decision and you're looking at this administration and they are almost saying, well, just ignore it, it will go away. this is another example of it. you don't hear about anything in the news. i remember back in the 80 when the same thing happened under reagan, we ended up having the

ana to death on new year's day and dismembered her body and tossed remains in several dumpsters. they say brian walsh killed his wife after discovering an affair. a man in washington, d.c. told police he had been dating ana for months and even enjoyed a thanksgiving get away to dublin with her. one of ana's friends told offers ana thought her husband was going to jail on federal fraud art charges. investigators saw evidence of bylaw in the basement, on the stairs, leading to basement and on the knife. ana's body has not been found but pile of circumstantial evidence is significant according to experts. >> about 70% of people that are missing are found 24 to 48 hours. clearly it's been several months. no-body factor is not something that will stop proving a homicide or first-degree murder charge in this. it's quite common that there's no body but when there's ample
