[music] >> hello family, welcome to fox news tonight on lawrence jones. 80-year-old joe biden announced he was running for president again last week. that's a tall task for someone who struggles to remember what day it is or what country he last visited. it's hard to know if joe biden himself even wants to run. political is reporting his wife jill biden, the physician you got a call doctor, played a key role getting brought in to run again.
5:01 pm
regardless of what's behind the decision is cleared the democratic party doesn't want you to notice job item is obviously, physically and mentally in decline. or joe biden's record. don't believe your eyes come up believe us. joe biden has been a great president they insist. unfortunately the democratic party, that message seems to not be working. harvard harris poll from just a few weeks ago found nearly 60 percent of voters have doubts about biden's mental fitness. another poll by mammoth universities had nearly half of the democrats would prefer joe just sit out the next election. they don't want him to run. even some of joe botticelli's since his portability. for months they've been pushing biden to step aside. eric times has recently run a number of pieces with all the same headlines. joe biden shouldn't run again.
5:02 pm
if it's any indication as to what they really think about joe biden's reelection. democrats have spent months waiting and plotting for biden's announcement. people like avenue smith, jb pritzker looks like the running regardless. according to political, senator bernie sanders and amy clover chart have been in keeping the door cracked open a case biden opts out. now that biden has decided to run, the response from the democratic party has been quite fascinating. democrats politicians are overly pushing alternative to the front runner. the sitting president. they don't have options. looks like they settled on a candidate. sorry been following guidance of footsteps. there will be no one other than the vice president, kamala harris. democrats are doing what was once unthinkable and putting her name in the ring to be the democratic nominee in 2024. >> the vice president, like many vice presidents have
5:03 pm
struggled to get positive press coverage and to get the credit she deserves for the hard work she's been doing. the vice president is ready to run and ready to be president should that ever happen. i know our president has great confidence in her and so do i. >> so, weeks ago it would have been shocking to see any major democrat tie themselves to appealing vice president. the present himself quoted describing kamala a " work in progress. john morgan told the us, he can't think of one thing she's done except stay out of the way and stand behind biden certain ceremonies. now kamala may be their only hope. >> here's the thing. who doesn't love a yellow school bus? right? can he raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus. right? it is time for us to do what we have been doing and that time is every day. every day it is time for us to agree. to look down on me and say kamala what you want and i look back up and say freedom.

intelligence is not just science fiction is not being used in our society. here's one example ai has become a powerful medical research toll in healthcare. doctors using this technology to reshape the way they diagnose and treat patients. one ai program developed by scientists at mit showed an ability to detect lung cancer at a rate of 86 to 94 percent. a recent survey shows 60 percent of americans would be uncomfortable with their provider relying on ai. what's the catch? doctor mark siegel with the fox news medical contributor. he joins me now. doctor siegel, i went to the dentist the other day. he did his normal inspection. then he did the ai inspection. there wasn't much difference. there were some things that he missed that the ai was able to pick out. is this a good thing or a bad thing? >> that part is a good thing. that's kind of like on automatic pilot on a plane. do want automatic pilot landed
5:57 pm
the plane? we don't want that. we want a pilot in their lj. we have to be scared that jeffrey inted a quick google today. he is the godfather of deep learning. he started all of this decades ago.he quit saint this is gotten out of control. yorty said at the beginning where it stays in control. that'll you talked about at harvard is called civil. it looks at a cat scan, lung cat scan of a smoker and it says before a radiologist would ever notice this, this could be lung cancer. this spot worries me. you can also use area to look at things you can even think of looking up with a radiologist. so it's a tool. where gets out of control is where somebody says, that doctor didn't have enough time for me.let's go to ai. chat gpt says you're feeling fine sir.i'm thinking, a study of san diego's sense it

shows more empathy than i do? i've got a work on my empathy then. we have to go to doctors for the human element, for the personalized medicine. for the back-and-forth. your case is different than another person's case. ai will be able to figure that out. >> it seems to be a liability in the making. it's a robot. eventually it's going to miss something.i understand using it as a second pair of eyes to say okay, you asked me. maybe i need a different x-ray. but, to just go to a visit of a robot, i don't know if i could ever do that talk. >> you made a really good point. if a medical center relies on ai and the ai gets it wrong there's even a term for this. it's called hallucinating. ai can hallucinate. can you believe that? suddenly ai doesn't know where it is. and if it gets something wrong with the medical center is reliable. about me versus ai making a diagnosis. but if ai something right i get it wrong. i'm liable. the thing bothers me the most is insurance company using ai to determine if you get that
5:59 pm
test approved or not. i can't argue that against the computer. >> also the cost. if unpaid for doctor amato to pay ai the same thing for computer to do it. it doesn't make sense. it's not jiving with me doc. >> ai's can have a union. after pay us more. this is where it's heading. seriously. as long as we keep it as a tool that many doctors use that nurses use, the medical centers use for research and contributing to diagnoses, i'm fine with it. i don't want to make decisions. >> also, wanted to go to all that schooling if this was going to be the case? >> it scary that ai did better on some of these tests than i could. >> as is the enter your profession? >> no. i'm saying it's a wake-up call we got a relook at our empathy and how we make complex decisions and the art of medicine. we've got to keep to that. ai cannot do the auto medicine.
