just turned 7 and my daughter was 2 years old when they lost their dad. and jesus never left our side. so that is what i would like to say to these families. and i have formed just such a strong friendship with the parents of sandra cohen. he was a remarkable man, good samaritan, stopped. didn't have to stop, for carlos. stopped to help him and lost his life as well and god has binded our two families together. and it is shocking for me to see this continuation of, not only an open border, a president who doesn't accept responsibility, who has just recently gone to the border to see the disaster that he has allowed to happen. but then -- >> laura: well, marla, just let me interrupt for a second, the

"effective". your reaction to just that word being used. >> yeah, it's ludicrous. you know, half of the border patrol agents as you know laura are hispanic. so to try to say that this is a racial issue, my husband was hispanic. and to try to spin that, the policies have been completely ineffective. we have millions of immigrants coming across the border, as you know. the drugs, the child trafficking. and all of these horrific crimes. and then we have immigrants killing other immigrants. so this is not even what the

committee chair, miranda, jim comer, he had an interesting revelation i thought this morning. >> in communication with our witnesses and with people who are cooperating from a subpoena standpoint, we know that they've been contacted by the attorneys for hunter biden. we feel that this is really close to crossing the line. obviously their objective, in my opinion, is witness intimidation. this will not stand. we are going to continue to press forward. >> laura: miranda, witness intimidation? does this surprise you? >> not at all. hunter has the best attorneys money can buy. teams and teams of them. who was paying for them? well, it's these democrat dark money groups. these are gifts that he's been given presumably they should be subject to tax and at least they should be subject to london robert's child support.

demonize justices with these bogus ethics charges that really don't pass the straight face test when you look at them. >> laura: now, the push to, oh, we need new ethics rules and everybody like trained seals supposed to start clapping for the democrats, chris, what is that really all about, again they never had these rules, the whole history of the court, now suddenly they need new rules. why? >> right. well, again, i think they are just looking for any stick to beat a dog, as justice scalia used to say in terms of attacking the supreme court. this group would come up with -- if a justice bought a loaf of bread on sale at the store they would say justice leaves store with a low-purchase price item and say supreme court corruption. they're going to hold a hearing tomorrow in the united states senate laura, we have banks collapsing, waves of illegal immigrants coming into our country. what are they going to hold a hearing on? ethics on the supreme court

and katherine the fixer, top goldman sachs figure having dozens of meetings with this figure, the current cia head, the current cia says he was just asking for information about the financial services sector. that's very implausible and americans have every right to know what is going on here and they're just not getting the information that they need. >> laura: mollie, remember, a lot of people had a pretty good sense of who harvey weinstein really was and what he was up to and again he was a mover and shaker in politics so they let that all slide and it happened for years and years with him. now, many of the people on that calendar, you know, told the journal that the meetings were for reasons related to his money and connections and people said, look, we thought he rehabilitated himself. and, look, mollie the benefit of the doubt, i understand that and i get that. but the private life, though,
