>> once a top tourist and shopping destination, san francisco is now falling apart before our eyes be of a rising crime is forcing another major american retailer to shut its doors. department store giant nordstrom announcing yesterday it will close both of its stores in downtown san francisco. that includes the location within the city's westfield mall and nearby brick and border nordstrom rack. the company saying a statement, "the dynamic of the noun downtown san francisco market has changed dramatically over the past several years. impacting customer foot traffic -- impacting customer

doing their jobs, this is what we are finding. high crime, stores, nice businesses going out of business. they can't even possibly make any money in places where every day, there are heavy shoplifters and these cartels and gangs of shoplifters. it is not a feasible way to live. you have to apply the law fairly, justly, but apply it. you can't have this roundabout bale, in and out come in and out. the criminals have no repercussion, so they continue to commit crime. >> emily: harris, that location, the nordstrom at the westfield mall, i grew up across the bay, and that was a magnet. it is right where the trolleys turn around, so it is a big tourist destination, it is where everyone goes for holiday shopping and, you know, after the performances they are, ballet, so it is such a -- it is such a magnet. when we think of stores closing, we talk about chicago often, maybe it is easy to say, i'm sure there's others, but it

that area. you are a trial attorney. i am so curious to get your perspective on how you turn this around fear of you talk about the problems the court system here i'm going to give you the rest of my time. >> rebecca: turned it around by enforcing proper laws. this has gone too far. you need to have responsibility and culpability. if you don't have culpability, then criminals can just walk in, and our leader walk out. it doesn't make sense. that is not a way to govern. people need safety and they need to know that when the police come in, it's effective policing that then goes to the prosecutor and the d.a., the ada's, will effectively prosecute crime. >> emily: sean, this has turned into a cesspool really overnight but it will take years to be able to restore that city back to its glories. >> sean: go to rebecca's point, democrats do not want to criminalize addiction or

poverty, so they want to allow for retail theft. the consequence of that is a rotting city. to your point to be a grand if you look at the policies of san francisco, or you mentioned chicago or new york, things don't get better. the sun is advising on a city, the sun is setting on these democrat-led city come all democrat control, and you think, america, do i want this for my country, or i want to run away from democrat policies. i want to go to law enforcement, law-abiding citizens, i want to help people who are drug addicted. i don't want to give them free needles so they can be incentivized to do more drugs which is what they're doing, and by the way, again, the politics of this is you have voters in these cities that keep voting for politicians who advocate these policies. they get a rotting city. that's what they want to be or if you wanted something different, you would vote for different politicians, different prosecutors, different mayors. >> emily: i would argue, though -- i totally agree with you 100%. >> sean: thank you.

now, let's go to this. republican lawmakers outraged over a national guard airmen participating in an ad promoting tiktok. >> my name is john lynch. i'm a member of the national guard, and i use my tiktok channel to spread helpful and useful information to benefit military members and their families. tiktok allows for me to reach the military community. i'm not here to make millions of views or be famous but i keep making the videos because i know it can help people. if my platform was taken away, it would be devastating. >> harris: sounds like he is addicted to it. the ad is part of a campaign to stop the government from banning the chinese app by trying to show how users benefit from it. that guardsman tells fox news the commercial was "signed off by the dod." the national guard had input on the script and got to see drafts of the commercial. however, the official is also telling -- an official is also

telling fox news it does not mean the national guard endorses tiktok. lynch, defending his role, saying, this video gives no political statements on either side and merely focuses on how i use the app to reach military members. i also will say that i have no statements or thoughts to be made about the situation of tiktok. sean? >> sean: well, first of all, he is making a statement about tiktok, he is endorsing it, so don't lie to us, number one. number two, my daughter wrote an interesting piece for ""the federalist"," yesterday. the problem is not tiktok, the danger of china ""the federalist," yesterday. , but american social media platforms are the real danger, they are the ones that partner and collude with the federal government, they are the ones that sensor republicans. there is a lot of freedom for conservatives on tiktok so she is making the argument that maybe you should not focus as much on tiktok but more on american companies that are a real threat to free speech in our community. just by the way, the military, the same military that uses

they are uninterested in being patriots, right? so it's a problem. we understand the military is trying to find ways around it, but tiktok might not be the way. because we have identified that tiktok is a problematic app. we have identified that tiktok could have connection to communism and china. so, maybe we need to step back and, again, have some policies in place that makes some sense, rather than just some willy-nilly, you know, going on tiktok and trying to attract people. it's not a policy, and it's not -- it's not something well thought out. >> harris: i wonder how they got to the point -- i mean, the dod, how do they get comfortable with someone spending time endorsing an app? because i agree with you, that is what he is doing. >> kayleigh: i would love to know the answer to that because i found it so curious the dod individual said we signed off on it. why did you sign off on it?

reelection in 2024. but a new poll out from harvard reveals they are much more they are feeling down and out about. it shows 61% of democrats between 18 and 29 reported feeling nervous, anxious, or on edge. 57% said they had trouble relaxing. 55% said they felt unsafe. and 52% reported feeling down, depressed, or hopeless. meanwhile, 47% of young republicans reported feeling nervous, anxious, or on edge. 47% said they had trouble relaxing. 39% said they felt down, depressed, or hopeless. so, sean, the democrat young people, gen zers, we will call them, many, at least, they are feeling down and out, disproportionately more so than republicans, high numbers for republicans but this comes when democrats are increasingly more likely to say, "i don't want to hang out with republicans, i don't want to date republicans, i don't want to be friends with republicans." what seems like they are an anxious, sad bubble. >> sean: of course, when the

anything that happens around you will still be okay, they don't know that so they are right to feel anxious and hopeless, they are addicted to social media, called names and terminated an instant, they have no faith, and it is heart breaking. >> kayleigh: that is so well said. you know, rebecca, another fighting in this poll we found is one in four young democrats would prefer to live somewhere else other than america, that number was 10% for republicans. >> rebecca: the greatest country in the world and this is what is happening to our young people, because there is no hope, there is no hope because no one gives them hope. how about we all partnered together and joined together, understand we can have differences but those differences don't make us hate each other. that is what america is about. democracy where we respect others, we respect people with different opinions, but we work together towards a common problem, climate change is going to end the world in 12 years, hey, let's get together and try to fix it. let's get together, as groups of people, not, we hate you because you are republican, we hate you because you have these thoughts.

hate is not a positive way to live. we have to love each other and get together, not separate a part. that is not working. >> kayleigh: unity. >> harris: usually, that starts at home. what we are seeing now, and you have children old enough now, sean, in particular, you and my friend rachel, you've got kids who now are adult, in their 20s, and younger little ones, you can cross compare how different the indoctrination that is going on against the parents, and i call it that because we literally are being left outside the loop with our kids. this week, what have we reported on? states now, democrat-led states in particular, are passing legislation such that transgender operations, cutting on the body, surgical cutting, doesn't need parental knowledge. not just permission, but knowledge. that our children belong to the government.
