from the air we saw police take him into custody and to apd headquarters is investigators say around noon he walked into this medical office with a handgun and began shooting. cops say he killed 39-year-old amy st. pierre and hurt others ranging in age from 25-71, the mayor praising law enforcement for catching the guy. >> right now, we've had a successful end to a traumatic day. and today is a day that we can go home and rest easy that the individual that caused harm in our community is under arrest. >> investigators say patterson spent about two minutes in that medical office, then stole a truck left running at a gas station about a block from here. they tracked that truck using highway cameras and found he drove to the battery where the

braves play. police say he dumped the truck and ran into a people called 911. >> kept second guessing myself how long he had been at large and how much after coordinated search was on with the police. >> city leaders credited the public technology and police teamwork catching him saying the cameras played a big role catching him and leading to his arrest after he spent 8 hours at large. >> what more have we learned about this suspect? police haven't revealed much yet. coast guard says he entered the service in 2018, discharged this past january. his mother says the medicine v.a. doctors described him led to quote mental instability

busy downtown area, a lot of area to search and a lot of information coming in. lot of times those first several hours is controlled chaos, trying to stop the shooting find the suspect and geting a lot of reporting and digital media that need to be coordinated. >> technology a key with cameras everywhere and everybody walking around with a samoan basically could be an amateur detective. right? >> absolutely but it's so key to law enforcement to not only get witness statements video recordings but also it was reported there's about 3,000 cameras in atlanta being able to quickly go through that video footage determine where the suspect search and work out wards which helped law enforcement at large determine his location. >> atlanta a major metropolitan area in the heart of business day what kind of nightmare is that for law enforcement to find this guy, needle in haystack?

in kellogg's or sewage damage. alex how do you assess this one? yeah, the problem is the product doesn't do what it says it's going to do. i was sceptical when i first saw reporting on this but when i read the complaint i thought it was pretty detailed. there's a number of examples of tests and like you mentioned some of these wipes don't dissolve or if they do it takes hours, the plaintiff cites economic damage that this is 25 percent more expensive than other wiepgs and the cost across the nation to repair these types of sewage problems from these wipes could be i think it's more than $400 million. there's also one part of the packaging that on the back there's a warning about what types of systems that you can't flush and it's under a fold so i think the claim is deceptive and it should be out front so people know right away. >> exhibit b the package
