strike on the kremlin issue but that is not likely because that would be suicidal. that would give putin the justification to just unleash a massive strike on kyiv, targeting residents of zelenskyy. the timing is suspicious, few days from may 9, victory day from the russians in world war ii, they call the great patriotic war and a sacred day for the russians. it would be very convenient for putin to just stage something like that to demonstrate to the russian people that look, you are under attack. russia is attacked and it is not just ukraine, but the wests, that is the narrative putin is trying to propagate and that would galvanize the people who are anti-war. small russian population is

became belligerent while waiting for an appointment at northside hospital, when he pulled out a handgun spraying the waiting room with bullets and fled on foot, before hijacking a truck. and patterson was found hiding just outside atlanta and with the help of uniformed officers took him into custody without incident. >> not only did law enforcement bring this man into custody, they kept our community safe during an eshg normously tense afternoon and evening. he had an appointment at the facility and again, why he did what he did, all that is still under investigation. >> brooke: learning more about patterson, including discharge from coast guard in january after five years of service. it is still unclear whether it was honorable. his mother claims he was at the

dangerous. there are open-air drug scenes. the police are not arresting people for public use and sale of deadly drugs like fentanyl. >> ashley: what do you think caused this? >> well, i think that the big picture thing is proposition 47, a law that decriminalized smaller amounts of illegal narcotics from felony to misdemeanor and i think that it is hard for the police to motivate, to do an arrest for misdemeanor drug possession when in the past that would have been a felony and i think the police have been hampered by our police commission, which ties them up with paperwork and regulation and keeps them off the street and doing paperwork for every arrest they do. >> ashley: that is a common theme, the police's hands are tied and hard to do anything when leadership makes rules and no other way to put it, the

police can't do anything. you said what you think caused it. what fixes it? >> three things we could do now. the mayor can absolutely dispatch or command the police department to dispatch additional officers to the downtown area and start making arrests, even if just misdemeanor. a misdemeanor arrest would tie up a drug dealer for a couple hours and be a huge hassle, he would lose his drug supply and money and the message would go out that san francisco issic taking drug possession seriously. the police commission needs to be reformed. board of supervisor need to look at radical anti-police people on the commission and pull them out and put on people who are more supportive and understanding of the difficult job our officers are in right now. and then i think, third of all,

we need to take a look at revoking sanctuary protection for fentanyl dealers. we do not require it for other felons and fentanyl should be in that category. >> ashley: that is what i was going to ask about now. a new poll shows people in san francisco revoke fentanyl dealers with 70% of likely voters say they want to strip sanctuary rights to felony fentanyl dealers. were you shocked it was only 70% considering what happened lately? >> yes, i think people understand fentanyl is a different deal than any drug in the past. it is deadly, addictive, users need to buy a new supply every couple hours because length of time their high lasts so they are out on the street doing things to get that next supply

students get bored with history when it is fact, fact and date, date. when you engage them in stories that help them remember, that develops intellect. take a look at how can we, parents are going to school board meetings, look at curriculum, if it is anti-american, challenge that. are you prioritizing u.s. citizenship or global citizenship? i've seen that in my school district. there are ways to do it. it is time for parents to step forward and make a difference in that way. >> ashley: we have seen parents be villainized when they step forward. there are several of them and even kids step up and speak their mind. jane, youed homeschooling. what do you think of the future of school and going to school and getting on the school bus? do you think parents will see numbers and say, i'm not going

to send my kid to school, i will homeschool them, do you think that is something they will see in the future? >> the homeschool movement is growing. i used to send my kid to public school, now i switched to homeschooling, he is a special needs kid, it works better for him. we have seen increase in homeschooling and you can tailor curriculum and pick it and figure out what is best for your kid and how your child learns the best. we'll see emphasis in that. in 2000 26, america will celebrate 250th birthday and i'm trying to get books out to help with american history literacy so we can better understand our nation's history when we reach 2026 and like to see that number of 13% go away and get higher for eighth graders. >> todd: histories awesome, i want to read and watch history

portfolio. >> todd: the vice president netting 43% approval rating according to fox news polling. i think you hit the nail on the head, the white house handlers in the white house believe by giving her something they believe she has a better chance of succeeding on like ai versus the borders, she will brandish her image and do a better job. could this backfire in light of the fact ai is complicated and i will put this delicately, she hasn't demonstrated aptitude for complex, much less for simple, school buses and basic sentence structure. >> absolutely correct. this is no easy issue, this is tech technical. there is lack of talent and understanding in washington in general, to think she will come in with unique perspective is probably unwise. this will have a very
