living, you still need fossil fuels and this is one way to get them. >> bill: funny how it works from los angeles. william la jeunesse, thanks. >> dana: let's give everybody a view of something happening at the border. we're about a week away from title 42 expiring and the migrants know it. so they are coming in droves and it is picking up. we just had an amazing report from griff jenkins on the ground doing terrific work telling us what's happening there. a good thing fox news is there. we have our drone team there, they can show you these pictures as this line has tripled since we've been on the air in an hour. >> bill: they're one hour behind. the morning hours seem to be the busiest hours you would say. sun is not up and it's not as hot. you just said they know how the rules are changing and so do the cartels. everybody can read a calendar. this is what's coming our way. >> dana: we'll have more on this
7:01 am
later in the show. keep an eye on this. this line i do believe i could say has maybe tripled since we've been on the air in just an hour and everybody is lining up right there. >> it was definitely time to lock down and make sure you know where you are going, you aren't going out after dark or alone. >> all of yesterday i stayed home. i didn't go out. >> people have the same idea. people are trying to stay at home if they don't have a reason to go out. >> really unnerving. like a graveyard. >> dana: a normally peaceful college town as police investigate three stabbings at u.c. davis. >> there is a series of random of brutal attacks u.c. davis west of sacramento. the f.b.i. and homicide

detectives joining that investigation. officers picking up a possible person of interest yesterday for questioning. local police trying to make sure that no stone is unturned. >> the attacks with knives were particularly brutal and violent. we're not dealing with three separate crimes. until we have evidence to conclusively say that all three are related, we have to keep our options open and explore all leads. >> dana: matt finn live on the west coast. i have a good friend who lives out there with her young family and she says they haven't even gone outside. >> the town on davis is on edge with a potential serial killer still on the loose. police have questioned persons of interest and biological evidence. at this hour there is no official word of any arrest. in a week three people were stabbed in public. two have died. the first victim a 50-year-old
7:03 am
beloved community figure david bro stabbed last thursday. two days later the body of a 20-year-old college senior was found at another park near campus. his family says he was walking home that night and was six weeks away from graduation. the most recent attack, the third victim, happened early monday at a homeless camp a few miles from campus. a homeless woman in her 60s was stabbed through the vinyl of a tent multiple times. in critical condition and expected to survive. witnesses to the third stabbing describes the suspect as a man between five fought 6 and 5 foote nine. moments before the third attack they saw a person who fit that description. >> my friend said you look like a guy. he came back 20 minutes later and pushed his hand under the tent and hit her in the head and carved her with a knife.

cut the tent. >> right now u.c. davis has canceled in-person classes at night and beefing up security. some students are demanding that daytime classes be canceled as well until this killer is caught, dana. >> dana: disrupting everything there. thank you, matt finn. >> we don't endorse strikes on individual leaders. mr. putin is the aggressor here, his forces are in ukraine illegally in an unprovoked way. if he really wants to end this war and really wants to see security there on the continent he can have his troops pull out of ukraine now and end this thing all together. >> dana: john kirby responding to allegations on an attack on the kremlin. they contend two drones were used to assassinate russian president vladimir putin. kiev denies those claims.
7:05 am
rich edson is live from the state department. where do things stand today? >> good morning. the russian government is blaming the united states for these objects that appear to have exploded over the kremlin wednesday night. the spokesperson for the russian president vladimir putin says the united states earlier had provided targeting information to the ukrainian government and then instructed ukraine to carry out an attack. the white house says that's nonsense. >> i will just tell you they are lying. it is a ludicrous claim. >> he said the united states encourages or enables ukraine to strike outside its border. blinken said he would take anything coming out of the kremlin with a large glass of salt. they have discouraged the
7:06 am
ukrainian government from hitting russian governments beyond that. the russian government claims it was an attack against putin himself. the white house says it does not endorse strikes like that against specific individual leaders. analysts say the russian government has a long history of staging attacks as an excuse to escalate aggression. ukraine government is accusing russia of just that. last night the russian military launched drones and missiles against ukrainian cities what is an imminent counter offensive from ukrainian forces which have been trying to kick the russian military out of their country since 2014. dana. >> dana: thank you. >> bill: there is apparently a new whistleblower stepping forward claiming if f.b.i. has information that ties the president to an alleged bribery scheme alleging that biden took money from a foreign national while vice president in exchange for a policy decision. top republicans issued a

7:08 am
we have reported that it is not china, but it could be -- hunter biden had business dealings with russia, ukraine, mexico, kazakhstan, romania, serbian royal family in belgrade. a lot of different avenues it could go into. >> dana: i want to ask you a question. this document goes back to when joe biden was the vice president and the white house might say okay, this document -- if it existed wouldn't it have come to light before now? >> we've seen the f.b.i. has a pattern of politization. a congressional committee with weaponization of the f.b.i. and they had the hunter biden hard drive from 2019 and didn't move on it. if this is as incriminating as james comer said why didn't the
7:09 am
f.b.i. do anything? >> dana: a white house spokesperson said republicans in congress have been lobbying unfounded politically motivated attacks against the president and his family without offering evidence. when it comes to president biden's personal finances anybody can take a look. this allegation would seem to be different than looking at tax returns. >> not finances but bribery taking place in the vice president's office. that's a big question and we do know there are long investigations, unreasonably long, into the biden family. hunter biden over four years of investigation. good reason for congress to ask these big questions and if a whistleblower comes forward to say there is this source document that suggests that joe biden may have been involved in some sort of bribery scheme, we have to know that as the american people. it's critical information for us to all know. >> bill: so you try to figure out where the story goes next, andrew, right and john you as well. we tried to get at this last hour. what grassley seemed to say
7:10 am
yesterday he believes the document exists. don't classify it and keep it in the public domain and don't destroy it. if the letter doesn't present itself, the only story you have is from this whistleblower and that man or woman has to talk. >> there are a number of ways which this document doesn't come forward. number one if it doesn't is. we look at why the whistleblower came forward in the place first. the second is classify it retroactively and keep it under seal. the last would be that they actually have to produce it or i guess the other would be they realize that this is still an ongoing investigation. and refuse the subpoena. there are ways for them to not disclose it. ultimately congress has wide subpoena power to oversee the f.b.i. and should be produced as long as it still exists
7:11 am
>> the f.b.i. said they're in receipt of the subpoena and we have to see where the facts lie. i am nervous to get over my skis because we don't have the underlying document. sams had a point. republicans are speaking for years they have it now, the shoe is about to drop and it hasn't. let's see where the evidence takes us. >> dana: when you have back at your desk thinking about what's the next story, there are so many different threads that can be pulled here. how do you decide? what's the triage? >> you have to call people and hit the phones. that's what i will do the second i'm off this set. >> dana: hit the phone. great to have you both. thank you for coming back. >> bill: thanks. >> here is my question. when you send these troops are this he to process more illegal immigrants to come into the country or to do the job, secure the border, enforce the law? we have to have a border. >> dana: the biden administration under fire from
