your son, while there's no ties to you, could be charged by your department of justice. how would that impact your presidency? >> first of all, my son's done nothing wrong. i trust him, i have faith in him, and it impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him. >> also this week house republicans will unveil new details surrounding the biden family business dealings. here's how house oversight committee chairman james comer reacted earlier on "sunday morning futures." >> this is not just about the president's son is. this is about the entire biden family including the president of the united states. what heir looking at charging -- they're looking at charging hunter biden on is a slap on the wrist, it's a drop in the bucket. so wednesday will be a very big day for the american people in getting the facts presented to them so that they can know the truth. and then the department of justice can finally do what they should have done years ago. >> and the mainstream media all of a sudden voicing their

concerns about biden's age. a new abc news/washington post poll finds 68% of people think biden is too old for another term. only 32% said he's sharp enough to be holding office, and only a third believe he is in good physical health. interesting that the media is worried ooh too. too. >> our brand new poll conducted with the washington post shows major challenges for president biden. his approval rating's at 36, a career low. >> president biden's got problems. i think the american people look at him is and think he's too damn old. >> these numbers and conversations i've had with voters certainly indicate that there's a lack of enthusiasm, there is a concern about president biden's age. >> yes, there is a concern. although he didn't just enter his 80s -- [laughter] i believe he's been in his 80s, so this is really no surprise. do you think democrats are scared? >> that's why this is so weird. he's been the oldest president the entire time, so it's, like,

why the focus now on his age unless there's going to be some sort of coronated attempt to oust him and get rid of him and bring someone new in. and that would really be the only beta that hunter biden ends up faces any serious charges, if it's part of a broader effort to get rid of joe biden because we've all seen what's happened under this administration. we've seen irs whistleblowers step forward and say that the department of justice has intervene in the hunter biden investigation. we know we live in a system of two-tiered justice. we know the department of justice and the fbi reward their friends, punish their enemies. they've gone after pro-lifers while letting pro-abortionists fire bomb churches and pregnancy centers without punishment. they sent the fbi in to raid donald trump while allowing joe biden to search things himself initially, right? so, you know, look, we live in a country where there really is no justice anymore, and conservatives get punished. so, you know, we'll see what

[laughter] so, i mean, we don't know that biden is not attached to this, and i'm still wondering where that investigation concern. >> and kind of, there's a way to listen to the his around -- answers to those to non-question questions, the softball, pillow fight questions where it's almost like he's kind of throwing his son under the bus. oh, no, he goes to defend hunter. but as you point out, that's noe lied on his gun form, the problem isn't that he was hiring hookers and doing blow in every

officer's heroism. >> welcome back to "the big sunday show." a texas police officer who took out a gunman who opened fire in an outlet mall is being hailed as a hero. he was nearby when he heard gunshot ises, he ran over to the h&m short, you can hear the officer's panic as he called for backup. >> [inaudible] >> casey stegall is live outside of the allen premium outlets where 8 people were killed in the shooting yesterday. >> reporter: yeah, i'm shaking my head because it just gives you the chills to hear that video knowing what happened about 24 hours ago at this very busy outlet mall back here. a vigil is going to be held in this community later tonight at a local church to to honor the 8 innocent people who were killed here and to also pray for those who are injured. there are still multipreponderance people in the hospital -- multiple people in

>> i mean, just absolute chaos as we see there. you know, charlie, among the chants to abolish the police. why do new yorkers want to live in a city of lawlessness? >> goodness, i don't know -- i don't know why anyone wants to live here anymore. this is what you see right there on the screen, you know, you have lawlessness and mayhem, and then it's followed by more lawlessness and mayhem, and you can't be surprised at the sort of result that you wind up with regular people defending themselves and somebody winds up dead. it's a very sad thing that the guy wound up dead, i'm sorry for him, but there were a million opportunities before last week to try to intervene and do something sensible and lawful with this person. and, you know, ooh another thing about it is, you know, to listen to the, mr. neely's family come out and wring their hands about it, well, you know, what responsibility did they have before this incident happened to

step in and do something? this is what happens when you leave, you know, when government vacates its basic responsibilities to keep law and order and you wind up with really terrible things happening and then you have more lawlessness and mayhem on the tracks. >> but then, you know, tom, they're also trying to criminalize self-defense, right in it's not just specific to this marine having to step up here in this instance. you see it with sergeant perry in austin, texas, as well. they originally sent jose alba, a clerk worker here in new york city, to rikers, so you can't even defend yourself either. >> yeah. and the young people that you see protesting, i moved here to new york city in the early '90s, and i used to visit here in the late '80s when crime was everywhere, and brian park -- bryant park was an open air drug market. in the early '90s giuliani and bratton took the city under control, and i remember sitting in 3wr50eu7b9 park on a sunny day going, we're never going back. that was very doable.

we got the right leadership, they had a commitment, they had the broken windows policing. we knew how it worked. and i'm looking at all these people, and i'm thinking they didn't see that transformation. you know, the leaders have to stand up and say, you know, we did this once before. look at road map. and so these young people are are, we end up going to them and saying, oh, we understand, we hear your voices, you know? it's time to kind of meet them with the facts of what's happening. and when they say defund the police, they're saying defund the police? how do you think we got into this situation when citizens having to defend themselves on the subway? >> i'm so irritated watching this video. i mean, the truly pisses me off so badly. first of all, these people fighting back at cops who are trying to do their job and keep the peace, this makes it impossible. and why are they targeting the cops? the cops did not do this. people are shouting out i can't breathe which is obviously reminiscent of george floyd. that has nothing to do with this. this was a civilian who now

they're trying to dub a individual land i. he was not a vigilante. he was simply just sitting in a freaking subway, and he happened to be a veteran, you know? and god only knows what this guy was capable of. he has 42 the arrests prior to this incident, so they don't know what he's capable of. he was also preaching stuff like i don't care if i die, i don't care if i go to prison. so that, to me, sounds like somebody who's on a suicide mission, god only knows if he's got explosion -- explosives. >> and now this marine is awaiting his fate in a liberal city like new york. what awaits him? >> no, and this is my biggest complaint about all of these situations. why is it only the last person in the line, the last person who ends up paying the full price? you know, and the same thing, we talked about this yesterday, but it's the same thing with the george floyd situation. why is it the police that responded to the incident are the only ones who pay a price? what about the people who hired the police? what about the people who sent the police there?

what about the people who trained the police? what about the people who contributed to the breakdown of every part of the government that allowed this situation to happen in the first place in why aren't they paying the price? the only silver lining to this is that the people who are most inconvenienced by this are normal, law-abiding new yorkers who are trying to get to work or trying to get around in the subway system are going to be wildly inconvenienced by this, hopefully ticked off as julie is and might remember this next time they vote, that you need to vote for adults who are actually serious about doing, you know, running a city in a sane way instead of this nonsense. >> yeah, but then these crazy people keep getting elected, tom. >> yeah, it's hard to -- and you have what just happened in chicago. we thought, oh, lori lightfoot's out and they're voting in chang- >> right, it gets worse. >> they've got these cities in a political stranglehold, and the same people keep leaving.
