>> ainsley: yes, sir. you know, it's so -- it's really sad. we have all gone to outlet malls and shopped with our families and had lunch with our friends. i heard an interview on "fox & friends first" this morning a man who lives next door basically. there at the outlet mall having lunch with friends. texas community. good hard-working americans. one man comes in and starts shooting these people. eight end up dying. three are in critical condition. there were seven total injured. thank the good lord that officer was there he was responding to another call. and i'm sure you have a message for our law enforcement officers. he was there to neutralize the gunman. we heard that call that todd just played saying at the ralph lauren store i need all the help can i get. >> absolutely. the allen police are to be praised. he acted directly as he should have. he ran toward the sound ever the gunfire less than four minutes he had neutralized the threat. but the message to people is less than four minutes and he was there.

government cannot protect you in every situation. less than four minutes, he happened to be within earshot of the gunshots. and that's what saved untold people in this situation. absolute praise to the allen police department who had recently completed enhanced active shooter training. that's what we need is better training for our law enforcement to make sure that they can react -- all of them can react as this man did, this hero in allen, texas. >> ainsley: right. we are getting reports from investigators that the shooter lived with his parents. lived in dallas, no serious criminal history. was employed as a security guard at one point from 2016 to 2020. but he didn't live in allen, do you know why he went to this one location? >> >> i don't know. we can speculate on it. but i will tell you this, i believe the policy that mall is a no gun zone. so, one of the things we have got to consider is not having

reality their action scene in us and condescend us. we do not need a handout. what we need is to continue to be inheritors of this intellectual legacy of americanism that is built on hard work. that is built on individualism and that is built on the opportunities that gave not just black folk, but every single person who came to these shores in the 1700s the chance do achieve human flourishing at a level never seen before. reparations is anathema to that that's why i fully reject them. >> steve: christian, you made argument this is a bad idea. let's say the legislature passes it. where is california going to get the money? >> well, great question through, again, taking from other people and taxing all these things. frankly, given california's financial situation i'm not sure they have the money from doing

orange county new york supervisor theresa kenny who joins us now. theresa, what is your reaction to this? were you even consulted about this move? >> good morning, brian. thanks for having me. no, we were not consulted about this move. i would ambush. i got a call from the mayor himself 11:00 on friday this program very preliminary sounded very like it might be happening. you may or may not get people but location had been identified in orangetown. when i started to press him for details it became my team will get back to you. 2:00 friday afternoon when his team got back i heard words like imminent and could be as soon as this weekend and then within an hour hundreds of beds outs outside of a local hotel. our county were ambushed. >> brian: you were ambushed. what are you going to do? are you going to have your state police or your local police meet them at the border and turn the
