through the day into the day on monday. it's needed rain and coming all at once storms are bubbling up for look in a pot of boiling water to see them bubbling up from all of the heat. then notice you see clouds going in this direction by the higher elevation sharing. you've got wind changing direction with height which let's he storms rotate which gives us a chance or if you isolate it tornadoes in iowa today. so here's what we have a lot of energy to work with. little clusters by this afternoon from des moines to davenport, springfield could also be seeing rotating storms could produce a tornado or two. very large hail some gusty wi winds. of the time we did 8:00 p.m. our a lot of what once to become a lion falls apart was startled loose daytime heating we could still be done with heavy rain and large hail.

tomorrow for mother's day at level one out of five to see severe storms from peoria down to huntsville. most of this is going to be windbreakers of the fox mile you've got some storms are popping up at chicago doing with rain for good chunk of the day. then you got little clusters popping up all over throw the afternoon tomorrow over portions of central and southern ill illinois. goes over into indiana portions of kentucky. most of this will be a rain event but could get gusty winds out of this. and again this is impressive. yesterday we had 50 warnings in the state of nebraska alone is that storm was passing up to the north. it was the north turn some of the storms that had a lot of storm trackers out there watching where they were driving because it's a storm that usually go to this direction but obsolete the winds are like a whole different direction. watching for flooding in texas and iowa for severe weather brickwork sorry my friend, thank you for all of that. craig herrera the rockstar "fox weather" if you don't have that app you're going to be off guard for these things.

checked about the nasty weather much of the country now. you could be looking at nasty weather if you are trying to fly out anywhere later this summer. still too early to tell. southwest and american pilots are already inching closer to possible strikes. united pilots could be following them very shortly. we just do not know. they can resolve all of this and some these issues go away and you don't have to worry. but if it doesn't come to that what are your options?

cut down on flights. i am wondering how you can protect yourself from making it one of yours? click sure. obviously stay on top of the news. plan ahead. i use travel insurance in case things happen and you can recoup the money. you have to be proactive and stay on top of it and pay attention to what is going on. avoid the airlines and find the ones that aren't that will give a little more peace of mind. >> is going to be a crowded in airports as you've been saying. whatever's going on in the economy or not see any evidence that the nation's airports. so we got that. there are ways we can build the crowd aspect the delay in cancellation aspect. if you have lounge access to get to the lounge.

a fly in off-peak times we take the first flight out in the morning but i know it's kind of a pain to wake up at four or five in the morning. but you are going to have the least crowded flights it. if is some type of delay or cancellation you're going to have the best chance of getting out that day and not having to come back to the airport another time. just take simple precautions. obviously it look at potential other means of transportation whether trains or cars. if you are trying to go to someplace like europe you honestly cannot do that. so take advantage of early flights. always have a backup plan. it's going to be tough this summer. neil: i love getting up early compelling my family to do the same i do not know. i will go without him.
