i don't know, we started with german shepherds, then we wasn't with a great dane. i just like big dogs. keep your comments coming. we'll continue to feature you on the show also follow me on twitter, instagram, rumble@kilmeade. now it's time for lawrence jones. lawrence: do you ever wonder when you see a video of vie lend crime why some choose to do nothing and they just watch. sure some are scared. i think the main reason is because our society criminalizes what was once considered heroic
12:01 am
action. this week district attorney alvin bragg decide to charge daniel penny with reckless homicide. the press continues to play the video of jordan neely dancing like a michael jackson impersonator. but they know that's not why he died. where were all the activists when he punched a 62-year-old woman in the face as she left the subway. and he was attempting to kidnap a 7-year-old girl he was dragging down the street. the meaning of victim and criminal, they just flip places. can they acknowledge how new
12:02 am
yorkers feel? the guy may have been mentally unstable. but that's not our fault. >> i get it. it's a little excessive but up sure he didn't mean to kill the guy. >> first of all, it was none of his business to put the man in chokehold. he knew when the guy stopped breathing, and he knew how long he had to hold him. >> there are crazy things happening in the city and it's scary to be out. >> if somebody attacks you. whatever you have to do, just do it. >> he did kill someone. >> maybe the state should do something with homeless people to take care of them. >> it's 50-50. i feel safer because somebody took action, but it's a little
12:03 am
bit too excessive. >> they are harassing people who are vulnerable. >> this sounds like new york is falling apart. is it? is this for real? >> this is crazy. what's happening to daniel penny is mob justice, and everyone knows it. even the governor of knocked called for before even getting the facts. what about the other two men who helped restrain neely? do they get charged, too? do we even across knowledge they tried to resuscitate him? this only is one way. more innocent americans get hurt. good men will stand down and the inmates will eventually run the asylum unless you the people speak up. i'm joined by lee zeldin.
12:04 am
i'm so ticked off about this case. i have reported for years and months about the crime in our major cities. i warned that there will be a time where people will stand up. your for youer opponent calling for mob justice without getting the facts before. what is your response to that? >> she is trying to be all things to all people. you have a bunch of people who are cowardly in elected office who are fearful of the left. in the democratic party it resulted in pro criminal law getting passed like cashless bail. raise the age and less is more. the bills that put people back on the streets after they commit crimes. then you have individuals who need help, they need a bed and a
12:05 am
roof over their head. and they are not getting access to that either. alvin bragg comes in on day one as district attorney, and he said one of many different crimes he's going to prosecute, they are creating this system down underneath. it's bad enough on the streets where people don't feel safe. but down in the subways you have people being pushed in front of oncoming subway cars. if you listen to the attorney speak who is representing jordan neely's family, he's saying the burden is on you, the subway passenger to confront this person and resolve it peacefully. everything has been flipped, the whole script. and yo you've elected officials that want to put the noose on the passenger, the rider who just wants to get from point a to point b safely.
12:06 am
we should be fighting for the new yorker who wants to feel safe. >> you know who didn't forget? the people on this train. one woman said she went back to thank daniel penny after the chokehold death and she is praying for him. we just looked at the gofundme, the defense fund, it's up to $1 million. i know they want to include race in this, but black people, hispanics, whites, everybody is afraid on the subway, we were just reporting on people using the chain locks meant for bikes because they were afraid they would get pushed into the subway. with you the media wants to start a race war. >> you are not saying the black
12:07 am
person, the white person. you are not seeing it in that lens. if you put the race is flipped, you know the problem is prosecutors like alvin bragg are making decisions based on that as opposed to being based on the facts. it's a reality where daniel penny has been charged. he for the flatly has obtained fantastic criminal defense attorneys. but i tell you what is infuriating is watching the perp walk that is totally unnecessary for all of the cameras. the guy surrendered himself. lawrence: to shame anyone who wants to step in the gap. they allow the criminals to roam the street. they allow people to be harassed in the subway. when people decide they have had
12:08 am
enough, are they going to charge it other two guys as well. should we charge everyone who steps in. >> joining us is paul morrow. manslaughter in the second degree, when the risk is of such a nature constitutes a gross devastation from the standard of conduct, that a reasonable person would have deserved in this situation. what is a reasonable person? was he supposed to let the guy after he said he was going to assault someone, was he supposed to allow him to do this? >> imagine you are on the subway car and it's one of your loved ones. in the subway woinl are
12:09 am
inordinately targeted. don't you want a danny penny on that subway to protect her from this kind of thing? the grand jury process was proceeding along the normal rails. we have a case like this that's legally dicey because there is a clear self-defense here. it would have normally gone to a grand jury of daniel penny's peers to decide what the charge should be. my gut tells me they won't get that charge in a grand jury. the protests are contrived. you are a protester and you know the train is barreling in there. they knew the train was shut off. when i say they *. who am i talking about? i understand alvin bragg is
12:10 am
certainly involved. but we can't excuse the mayor. at first eric acams was handling this in a statesman like way. he didn't want to put his thumb on the scales. he got a little political heat and all of a sudden everyone starts trembling. the nypd made this arrest on their own. the on place that order could have come from was city hall. oh alvin bragg and eric adams consulted on this decision. lawrence: adams is a political chameleon. when the rubber meets the road, we invited him on the show a
12:11 am
couple times. but now that he's mayor he never answers his phone. in iowa president trump was scheduled to host a rally. the event had on postponed due to weather but it didn't stop his opponent desantis from making his rounds in the hawkeye state. he appealed to voters early tonight. >> i think if we make this election about a referendum on joe biden and his failed policies and provide a positive alternative to take america in a new direction, i think americans will win across the board. if the election is about anything else, it's about distractions, side issues. if we allow biden to sit in his
12:12 am
basement and not held accountable, the democrats are about to see that power. lawrence: we asked who has the best chance to beat joe biden. >> anybody. >> trump. >> ron desantis. >> i think either one. >> i would pick neither of them. >> trump probably. >> i think trump 2024 for sure. >> i like ron desantis. he's a little bit fresher feel to the race. i think he will connect with young voters. >> trump is the popular kid but the new kid comes to town. >> oh, my goodness. lawrence: you said a snowball can beat joe biden. >> i hope somebody does. i don't want hip to win.
12:13 am
but i'm not sure those are the two. lawrence: if you have got to pick one out of the three. >> overall, biden. >> do you feel like thing are going well? >> yes, i do in certain areas. >> definitely not joe biden. >> that guy has run our country into the ground. lawrence: joining me, charlie hurt and david ca carlucci. it seems like there was a difference between the crowd size for ron desantis versus donald trump. i know he hasn't announced yet, but he has that energy, the vibe of support. what do you see? >> obviously ron desantis has a lot going for him. you can look at florida and see
12:14 am
the tremendous success he had there. when you talk to florida independent voters they will tell you personal stories how their life is better because of the polices ron desantis has run with in florida. but it doesn't necessarily translate to laces outside of florida. there is still a tremendous feeling of support for donald trump as this feeling -- i think this is correct. anybody who is effective at changing the republican party and prosecuting the case, that donald trump brought the party along to will face an incredible opposition in washington. i think people have a feeling that donald trump is a fighter, and i think that's why what you
12:15 am
see -- i don't think polls are all that important this early. but i think that's what those polls reflect. the feeling they know donald trump is a fighter, a daniel in the lion's den. all the things people in washington get hysterical over, these people don't get hysterical when it comes to trump. lawrence: they don't like off-brand politicians. they want the real deal there. i am going to joe biden. here is a real clear politics average. it shows donald trump is beating joe biden by a little over a percentage point. then you have desantis also beating joe biden. they are in a tie. is this a problem for the president. >> i think the president is
12:16 am
looking in really good shape. we see he's not facing a democratic primary, and i think desantis is right. it's a referendum on biden. the republicans have a chance. if it's anything other than that. they don't stand a chance. ron desantis was looking good a few months ago. but momentum has moved against him. donald trump has gained in the poll and ron desantis has withered, and he allowed trump to attack him. the problem is ron desantis can't don't to attack donald trump. there was a recent poll by cbs that showed gop primarily voters. % said they wanted a candidate that had to be loyal to donald
12:17 am
trump. and 56% said not to talk about donald trump. >> who will it be for joe biden. 77% of americans say we are on the wrong track, charlie. >> when you get somebody like robert f. kennedy and instantly wind up with 20% of the vote in a primary against joe biden, that's real trouble. i don't know a president in my lifetime who is heading into reelection in worse shape than joe biden is. but obviously the thing about not only do republicans want this race to be about joe biden because joe biden loses, but also if it's about the issues, whether it's i am grailings,
12:18 am
economy, inflation for the war in ukraine. if it's about the issues democrats probably do even worse. lawrence: they shamed americans about tone and rhetoric and being anti-corruption. so i don't think they have that card any more. title 42 expired this week. i went down to the border. you don't want to miss this.
12:22 am
>> i don't want this going on every year, having a carnival outside. we have a different kind of people living in our world and they are not being processed. >> we need to shut it down and keep them from coming across. we have to change the locks. the asylum seekers, you say the right words and they are here. >> it was really bad.
12:23 am
tents all over. people couldn't get out of their houses. >> a lot of trash. guys doing number one over there. you can't dell them anything. >> 20 years. the way i'm going violated but there is nothing i can do. lawrence: border cities are scrambling. and this administration does not have things under control. migrants with bags are being dropped off in brownsville, texas and even cities like el paso are at full capacity. busloads of migrants arriving in sanctuary cities across america. thousands or more migrants are lining up as the final late night hours of title 42 kicks away. i had the opportunity to walk
12:24 am
and talk with senator marshal and ted cruz. why does the border matter to your state? this is tension as, it's home for me. how does it directly impact you? >> there are three major highway systems that start here in texas from this region that end up going through kansas. then icialtion i are 70 goes both directions. so kansas has become a border state. fentanyl poisoning is happening. i'm an ob-gyn, i have seen human trafficking before, but not such an explosion of it. almost a third of the young ladies coming across the border have been sexually abused. many of them are pregnant. they have sexually transmitted
12:25 am
diseases as well. the worst thing is, they are sold into slavery. i didn't have any idea that for years these girls will be indentured servants to pay off the debt -- maybe they came from venezuela. lawrence: thousands have been lining up just on the other side of our border waiting for title 42 to expire before entering the united states. >> they are having parties and celebrating. there are 22,000 people just right here. in a couple of hours title 42 is going to expire. when it expires the last vestige of joe biden and his administration pretending to secure the border ends. >> they say it's closed. >> they are lying. >> alejandro majorkas is a liar.
12:26 am
the amazing thing is majorkas doesn't believe his job is to stob stop. he has no intention of stopping those 22,000. he believes his job is to make it faster and more efficient. when he looks back and sees 6.5 million people. what he thinks and what kamala harris, and president biden want is more. lawrence: they say you lack compassion. >> look, my father was imprisoned and tortured in cuba. my dad came to america, came to texas legally. the right way. there is no country on planet earth that has more compassion. we let in more than a million immigrants a we are legally.
12:27 am
>> while many in the media turn a blind eye to biden's open border policy, we saw firsthand the damage. >> you can see shirts from people caught in the razor wire. you can see here a tennis shoe. and i want you to look right here. lawrence: that's a flip-flop. >> that little girl couldn't have been more than 5 or 6. she might have been 4 or 5. what monster allows a little girl nobody the custody of who brutalize them every day. look at their faces and tell me this is compassionate. it's cruel and it's lawless. lawrence: there were no
12:28 am
democrats on that tour. one thing that annoyed me when i was there. i'm proud of our men and women. they are truly the last line of defense for america right now. but i saw this image. this is not the right way to come into this country. but they were taking selfies and videos at the welcome to america sign. they didn't come in through a port of entry or take the citizenship test. but they are taking selfies. >> our dps and national guard and our sheriffs and law enforcement across the border are doing a tremendous job. we are exhausting them, we are exhausting our resources. i just passed a budget a few weeks ago that has $4 billion of
12:29 am
texas taxpayer money just for the border. when trump was president it was $400 million. we are doing a terrific job. we are repelling and people are returning to the other side. but they keep coming in waves. the numbers have been down a little bit today because they know texas means business. we have concertina wire on the border. we want to force everybody to come to those points of entry on the bridges. our people are doing a tremendous job. but this president is selling out this country and selling out the american people. he doesn't care that women and children are being sex trafficked. he doesn't care the terrorists and criminals are coming across the border illegally.
12:30 am
the reason they got joe biden to be their nominee, they need someone they can control, because he's not clear thinking enough to understand what's going on and majorkas is a damn liar. lawrence: this is no longer a texas problem. get ready for the mass release. 60% of the people coming across the border they are gust releasing them. it's not just the buses the governor of texas is sending. >> kudos to texas and the great lead heship of the governor and lieutenant governor doing something about the border. we see in new york governor kathy hochul put out a billion dollars in new taxes to take care of people who are illegal immigrants and for those people. when you talk about compassion, the question that was answered. look what's happening at new york's northern border.
12:31 am
we have a massive northern border. the rules have been changed. the cartels are controlling the border in the northern borderers as well. they are getting immigrants into canada. they come in, there is no visa required. kathy hochul allows them to be issues driver's licenses and they can question anywhere in the country they need to go. whether it's food, housing with, healthcare will be all over -- you heard of the illegals are now displacing homeless veterans in cities. after i left my if full-day meeting with the border agents. they had four people die at the
12:32 am
quebec border and two of them were children. and this is what you get. and the democrats run everything in new york, including the democratic governor. and they keep encouraging people to come in. you see the upsay the counties bracing for this. >> they know what they are doing and they just don't care. the children's book author who writes about grief is being accused of murdering her own husband.
12:35 am
12:36 am
lawrence: in utah a children's book author was accused of murdering her own husband. kouri richins was arrested after allegedly giving her husband a spiked drink with fentanyl. she went on to write a book on grief called "you with me?" bobby, what took them so long to catch her? >> it's a fairly straightforward
12:37 am
case. you have a toxicology report. you had no obvious foul play. so when the toxicology report comes back which could take 8 to 10 weeks. then you have to match up the phone records. they found the drug dealer who sold her the drugs in january and february, shortly before the valentine's day dinner where he got sick and passed out. and in march where he ingested more and he died. it might have taken them some time to find that drug dealer to get them to talk. but that puts the fentanyl in her hands. we know he died of fentanyl poisoning. lawrence: how was she able to do this tour with this book. i'm sure this isn't the only

friend he told that he thought his wife was going to kill him. no one came forward and said he has been talking about this. i think she finally got away with it. >> i'm sure the investigators had her in her sights. she said he found her husband dead in bed. they got the phone record fairly quickly. the phone indicates she was using the text and call between midnight and 3:00 a.m. right away she was probably in their sights. it's a matter of building the case and getting the evidence the prosecutors are comfortable with. they wanted to make sure they dotted their is and crossed their ts. the fact she wrote the book probably left her in the spotlight so they weren't

siriusxm patriot host. my friends, thanks so much for joining the program. this is wild. elementary school kids. >> lawrence, as a mom, i would want to know where were the permission slips, and why are they working on this instead attaining their educational goals. they have low scores on math and read bug they have time for this? lawrence: there is a big debate about crt being taught. whatever you want to call this, you should not be teaching these kids different status symbols in this. >> that's not the school's job at all. i was left asking myself, what is the point of this?
12:45 am
the kids should be in the classroom learning. you are not raising revolutionaries. teach them science and math. this is what happens when you remove religion in schools. there is no such thing as unbiased public education. i would rather go back to the days when we were biased in favor of judeo-christian values and learning to read and write and math. where were the permission slips? lawrence: they didn't exist. they don't want the parents involved in the process because then they can get away with teaching the stuff. is it time to take the money out now? they can choose the school they trust to educate them. when you have these kids that can't even read, they can't read because they are teaching this type of nonsense. >> kara makes the point

excellently. back when we had the bible? in school and we said the pledge of allegiance. parents were informed of everything going on in the classroom. master degree teachers were literally there to educate them. we teach them about jesus christ and knowing about the bible and their faith tradition. the school districts are sphunded by you. it's your responsibility to put a stop to this nonsense. school board leaders, elect them, and help them clean up these schools. lawrence: what gets to me is there are a

lawrence: this might be the most ridiculous story i have heard. a vegan writing a letter asking his neighbor to close his window while cooking meat. i'm a texan. it's god, country, texas, and meat. that's what we do. if my neighbor would have wrote me a letter like that i would have bought another smoker. i think we should have been surprised the vegan had the energy to write the letter. the guy was having a barbecue. the vegan wrote a letter. why did he write a letter? probably because he was jealous people showed up to this barbeque. lawrence: are you saying vegans
