states like texas and arizona and others along the border to take action because the federal government has entirely abandon their federal responsibilities when it comes to securing that border. and that is why the numbers are down. eric: as were talking we sea life from the drone flight team in brownsville detents. the rows of tents and close that are being dried on clotheslines, endless line of blue tents of migrants who are crossed over now waiting in brownsville. what can potentially stop this? can anything finally get a hole of this legislation in congress, some way those in washington can come together to deal with the continuing influx? >> you know unfortunately, eric, what you just described happening in el paso and other cities along the border is going to spread throughout the interior of the united states. i believe every city is going to experience every aspect of this

border crisis eventually and all of its forms via drugs, be it public safety, and crime and crushing blows to the infrastructure like hospitals and schools et cetera. i think the administration needs to get with the false narrative you can't have a secure border and much of immigration reform pretty much how much immigration pharmacy did you have to have control the border first. the other thing is the administration needs to get away from the dream of mass amnesty. it's not going to happen. the republicans are never going to agree with that nor is it good for the country. not only is this crisis contending because the numbers at the border so crisis levels the administration still has to answer for the 7 million plus that if made into the interior of the united states. many of them unvented i would argue and find out exactly where they are and what they are doing. make sure they eventually get there immigration hearings. eric: in terms of immigration

university of idaho was on for students who were murdered last november by awarding them posthumous degrees during yesterday's spring ceremony commencement the victims were remembered for their quote strength and inspiration as part of the class of 2023, along with 3000 classmates.

research, why are these numbers down? >> hi arthel. i think they are down because restrictions of the pandemic are lifted. people are interacting more preteens are interacting more. little bit less online although we have continued to highlight the issues with social media causing anger and copycat problems. but if you pointed out cautiously we are not out of the woods yet probably only talk about emergency room visits h here. by the time a teen gets to the emergency room either because they are suicidal or have severe anxiety, that is obviously big call for help. there are plenty of teens out there still anxious. and are still having troubles adjusting and are depressed for the other thing you pointed out fentanyl is flooding can meet outsourcing 40% increases among males among teen females and opioid overdoses.

courage. stupid that's good kindness and courage i like that. i want to go on to the national maternal mental health hotline that was launched last mother's day. talk to us about why a service like this is so helpful and so needed? >> ernie set this up beaut beautifully. it's an issue of isolation, isn't it? it is cultural problems. this is an issue among the black and native american communities who may not trust the medical establishment. you want a hotline like this out there. it is to be aunt used about 1000 calls per month. i would like to see 10 times that. and i would like to see of course the ability to answer those calls prevent the suicide hotline now, 988. the real issue is because it's not just pregnancy. one survey shows 6% chance of anxiety during pregnancy. think it is three times that. postpartum women might feel they are not in the support they need they might feel very isolated

from the father might not be around enough. the anxiety rate doubles for pregnancy. we lose women this way. the cdc points out 80% of pregnancy deaths are preventable. a lot of those due to mental health issues and a lot of that is in the black and native american community. so we need to do more community outreach. steve i wish to do another segment on this we talk about postpartum. that is a big issue and women should not be dismissed for experiencing that. in terms of the black and native american communities you mentioned how often times they may distrust the medical community we should talk about wipers not just that it's access, everybody needs access. >> access to mental health services completely agree with that. the distrust you know that's come back hundreds of years with us lying to black people. not me personally but the
