the subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government to investigate abuses by the fbi. the whistleblowers testifying at the hearing two suspended fbi agents and one former agent all claim the fbi retaliated on them for speaking out on the practices at the bureau. if i may, may be just as a reminder, a couple of stories on those practices. in 2021 the fbi counterterrorism division raided the home of a red cross volunteer named joseph. he was 69 years old. anonymous tipsters claimed he was at the capitol on january 6. there is no evidence, though that he was there, much less that he did everything violent. regardless of the fbi, they showed up at his house. they were armed and seized his electronics. the raid was so traumatizing that he suffered two strokes. then there were the pro-life raids unchristian and paul von. no evidence that either of these

hearing is evidence as if we needed any more that maga republicans are a threat to the rule of law in america. >> the hearing was about you, about me, about who they call extremist. nobody knows that more than kyle serafin, a former fbi agent and the whistleblower himself. he joins us now. thanks for being with us this evening. you as well as many of the men we saw today have helped bring to light what the fbi was doing. why is this happening inside the fbi, kyle? why are they targeting amendments or who are pro-life? why are americans the target of the fbi? >> well, the fbi is a domestic intelligence agency that still has law enforcement capabilities. that is what they have become. intelligence agencies want information and they need a target. a lot of this comes down to funding which steve friend was accurate about as he presented that at the hearing today.
5:10 pm
they are incentivized to name a target and incentivize to hit the target. it turned out the politically expedient target they had was white supremacy, antigovernment, antigovernment by extremist. it is made up. it's like the founding fathers. anybody that fit into that category is pretty conservative. we are the target and we being conservative with a lowercase "c", no party required. at favors the democrats. >> the fbi has tried to dismiss many whistleblowers as seeking fame or using the media inappropriately. for others, there have been suggestions for example when it comes to the gentleman we heard marcus allen that he got in the way of investigations by looking at alternative theories. i thought that is what we were supposed to do, consider all possibilities? he was talking specifically about january 6th. it seems that the fbi had a conclusion and went in search of evidence and punished an agent who might have had an open mind?
5:11 pm
>> that is 100% correct. >> i talked to marcus this afternoon and i am friends with o'boyle. these are all my people at this point. what is amazing is the durum report actually called the fbi out for lacking analytical rigor. and a clinical rigor is when you consider all sides of a problem. they are failing to do that. i would say marcus allen was doing what i would expect them to do. he was an sos which was a tactical analyst that assists fbi agents and practical casework getting information and background and so on. all the angles should be considered and if i had an sos like market i would want him to give me all the information and let me get it out and what holds water when you get in the field and do the interviews and the investigation it needs. he was doing at the way it was supposed to be done. it's unfortunate that the bureau was politically minded that they bought in 100% on january 6. is a lot of money and promotions tied to it. they created a prophecy that said it would be the biggest investigation in history.
5:12 pm
therefore it must be the biggest investigation the fbi has ever done. >> kyle seraphin has given us much of this information in the hearing about what is and who are the targets of the fbi. thank you so much, kyle. >> appreciated. matt gaetz was at the hearing. you saw him in the clip asking o'boyle about who has been targeted by the fbi. he joins us now tonight. congressman, great to have you with us on the program. i would love to start with this. there are a great many americans who have seen this and heard this and are beginning to become aware of the problems within the fbi. but then they go to the next question. the question i have to start with with you. what can be done about it? when were though be accountability? >> we don't throw people in jail in congress. that is for good reason. we have to defang and defund the authorities that have been weaponize to against the people. we have to get the fbi out of washington, d.c. much of what you heard today is
5:13 pm
there are good fbi agents and analysts around the country. there is pressure that comes out of headquarters and out of the washington field office to do things that are against the law and the constitution. when people are brave enough to push back, they are crushed. we have seen how the fbi has targeted president trump and how they have targeted anyone who believes in the second amendment or build the wall or for goodness sake the betsy ross flag. now we see how they go after their own. they do it to make an example of these people because they know that the corruption runs deep and they are deeply afraid that more people will come forward. it's easier for them to torture garrett o'boyle and leave his children without jackets and a cold winter and to leave steve friend without the ability to make an income. it's easier to do that then to face the consequences of the corruption that they have allowed to seep into an agency that has sown more evil than they have routed out. >> congressman, you tweeted another example of that
5:14 pm
corruption. you have a whistleblower out of the boston field office who has brought to light a firm that there was fbi present on january 6th. infiltration in the riot on january 6th. with all of that in hands, and i heard you say that, we understand the limitations of the power on congress. you don't throw people in jail. but you do have the power of the purse. you do have appropriations. is that in the end, the avenue that congress can pursue in attempting to reform the fbi and how you fund the fbi? >> yeah, the lifeblood of the things you are concerned about, it's the money. we have to cut off the money. we also have to make organizational changes. my colleague dan bishop of north carolina has suggested breaking up the fbi so that the agents fall within the jurisdiction of the u.s. attorneys throughout the country. that way everything isn't centralized where you have a circumstance like in boston where the boston agents were saying we are not going to round up people just because they

it seems something has gone very wrong in america. what do you think is the biggest threat to men? >> well, i think the left and their ideology has a lot to do with the will. i am right there with you. i have two little boys at home. that's why i wrote the book. what the left has said to men for generations, 20 or 30 years, to be a man is to be toxic. if you are a man, you are a terrible influence in making the world a worse place just by being you. i think we have to send the opposite message. we need men to be stronger we need men to take on responsibility. we need them to be protectors and providers and to live in a sacrificial way that empowers other people. a man who does that can transform his life. he can transform his family and transform this country. that's what we need. >> you have written about this in your book. it seems to me that not just when it comes to men, but for any human bin, the biggest source of depression or loss is a loss of a sense of purpose.
