shooting. so -- >> todd: when you hear the gunshots, like what is going through your mind in that moment? >> well, in that moment, i knew that it was gunshots and i knew that it was immediately to get down because a moving target is a hit target every time. not sure where bullets were coming from, i knew they were bullets and my instinct was to hit the ground and i did. and assisting the gentleman that was doing the interview, he froze. and just stay calm no matter what, if the car decided to drive up in the parking lot, to stay calm, not move, stay calm and get -- calm as i possibly could. >> todd: when you hear your

voice, yolanda, how did you remain that calm? >> i remained thatum ca, calm, i don't know, just instinct. this is something very common around memphis. you can be riding down the highway, interstate and gunshots. i can't tell you, i just know in that moment and you played this moment over and over and over again in your head because when you live in a city like we do right now and the increase in gun violence and the drive-byes, any moment, anything can happen. so you prepare yourself mentally, should we be in that act or ready to be in that moment? no. but this is where we are right now. i was able to be that calm and to remember what my grandmother, who is 94, always tell me, still living. in every situation, stay calm

policies. >> todd: jason has had run-ins with george gascon in the past. we know george gascon's policies are horrible and destroying the great city of los angeles. what is worse, his policies or his actions as a boss? >> his actions as a boss are becoming worse. he's destroying the reputation of the office and forcing talent out. some of the most experienced people are leaving, retiring because of abusive work environment and we have a huge backlog. thatten moos criminals are on the street not being held accountable, thousands of victims are denied access to justice and a lot of criminals are violent offenders, they are on the streets committing more crime and coming back, a revolving door.

voice of the victims. it is an important responsibility, how is it when those victims hate you because of what george gascon has done to the office of district attorney? >> it is extremely difficult. gascon should change his mission statement to criminals are the victims and victims are inconvenient, that is the way he treats them. he makes excuses for the criminals, treats them like victims and treats the victims like they are inconvenient to his agenda. a woman whose son was brutally murdered, he called her uneducated and said some people need to learn to keep their mouth shut. this is a mother whose son was murdered and when she spoke out, it was inconvenient forhim.

director christopher wray next week, threatening to hold the bureau in contempt of congress if they do not provide a document he says could incriminate president biden. >> todd: brooke singman has the latest. >> brooke: the key document could link president biden to a criminal scheme. the whistleblower claims the document describes alleged criminal scheme involving biden who was vice president at the time and a foreign national, specifically detailing exchange of money for policy decisions. in a letter i obtained to fbi director christopher wray, comer gave a may 30 deadline. the fbi failed to produce the fd1023 form or offer reasonable acommendation to allow the committee to review the document. the fbi gamesmanship in holding a meeting about confidentiality issues instead of addressing the

me, the woke teachers in particular concern me. i think my child would have a safe space and really be taught the way of the world and the way i think is right and i think he should act. how you go about maneuvering around this, i mean, one of my biggest fears is that my son will come home from school and tell me something and i say, where did you hear this from and it be his teacher. how do you navigate that? >> we layout sort of guiding principles for what to do at each age. we recommend in elementary school to filter out as many woke or damaging ideas as possible. if you are able to do that by home schooling or sending your kid to a private school, do it. if not or you are in a blue city, all through elementary school, your job is to saturate them and expose them to true and beautiful as possible when it

[cheers and applause] >> ashley: so we have that visual. we have the audience cheering. we had nothing with desantis. don't forget about tim scott announcing this week as well and people were fired up. was he missing that visual aspect of an announcement? >> he absolutely missed the visual. donald trump with all the flags. tim scott with his mother on stage and all of those people and the energy was contagious. ron desantis really lost a big opportunity. now, here's what is interesting. every republican candidate is now putting america as a centerpiece of their campaign whether they say we can be great again or america is great. that's in stark contrast to the democrats. the question really we have is who can do it best, right? who can restore american greatness. who are we going to put our faith. in that's what the test is going to be.
