why is everyone so interested in this second -- the guy who is consistently in second place on the right. >> ainsley: i think it's the biggest threat because they are not neck and neck if you look at the polls. trump leads him by a lot. it's his biggest threat. i think he feels like i helped you win, so give me some time so that i can have a win for the next four years, possibly. and then can you run. and i will help you run. i think that's a lot of it. if you listen to some of these campaign ads that trump has paid for. that's what he is going after ron desantis for for not being loyal when he was loyal to him. lawrence like any other sporting event you like a little competition. look at the score board. crowd sizes and support. as someone who is in diners every single week talking with voters and all of that, the score board is kind of leaning to donald trump. over 450% of republicans right now are with him. i think people are excited about a little bit of competition. i think to ron desantis point and we are going to play some

sound from him later. he is at his best when he is taking on joe biden and the democrats. if he is going to go toe to toe with donald trump. i watched the 2016 race. we saw all these distinguished republicans. we had the biggest bench of everyone and these astute politicians. ted cruz the fire brand of conservatism. known to take on the democrats. when he started taking on donald trump he got knocked out. rand paul got knocked out. you got marco rubio that got knocked out. so, i think that is going to be his play. ron desantis was on with trey gowdy last night. this is what he had to say. >> a president who is a listless vessel. not energetic and not dealing with the key challenge that are facing our country. but it does not have to be this way. our decline as a country is not inevitable. it is a choice. i think we can choose a better pathway. and so what i will do is help restore normalcy to our

interesting. that's why it almost never happens. outlines of grover cleveland who lost and then came back and won after winning originally. so it's going to be interesting. i just want to see how he handles the attacks, for example, does he want to have a flat tax? tell me about it. do you actually want to raise the age to retirement to 70 years old? i would like to hear your side of the story. you know, what is your stance when it comes to disney? why are you right and why is trump wrong when you think it's wrong to take on a corporation? was it true that charlie crist, that he was left a great situation in florida, that he really didn't improve it at all? that's what donald trump says. so now we're going to get the answer. >> ainsley: let's talk about this investigation now in washington in the house because james comer is going after the fbi saying we want this paper. we want this fd 1023 form to investigate to see if it's true that a whistleblower has said allegedly describes a criminal scheme involving joe biden and a foreign national exchanging money for policy. did that happen?
