ceremony. take a look what happened. >> the president fell just as he was wrapping up the event. fell right on the stage and the secret service detail decided to help him up there. the president tried to explain what happened when he got back to the white house last night. >> got sandbagged. [inaudible] >> you see the president do a little bit of a dance there the president says is he feeling good. and the good news is the white house says he is feeling okay. but this is not the first time the president has faced questions about his health after a fall. we have seen him trip going up the stairs of air force one or wobbling a bit on foreign trips. the 80-year-old has faced questions about his age especially after he kicked off re-election bid. republicans were asked about the fall and they kept things fairly polite. >> people can judge that i hope he didn't sustain injuries and, if he did, i hope he has a

speedy recovery from those. but i'm running for president because i want the u.s. to have a speedy recovery from the injuries that joe biden has inflicted on the country. >> it's sad. it's sad. you know, they are representing -- we are all representing the country. you become president and you sort of not allowed to do that but it's happened. then i said how do you get down? sir you have to go down the ramp? i said the same one i came up it was a long like an ice skating rink. they said yes, sir. i'm not falling there is no way. i go tippy toe it didn't look good. i even agreed. >> talking about what happened summer of 2020 he was going down the ramp and a lot of people were speculating what that might have meant for his health. president biden the questions about his age, they are going to keep coming up. if he were to win re-election next year, 86 by the end of his second term. weave will be looking see if the president makes any more comments on the fall either on twitter or the briefing room later today. we will hear from the president

later this evening, guys. he is going to be giving a national address about the debt ceiling happening around 7:00 p.m. this evenings. brian, ainsley and lawrence, back to you guys. >> brian: mark, your sense is he's not hurt. they say he is fine. >> yeah. the white house says is he absolutely fine. he came back as you saw last night. he was walking on his own. he was able to say he got sandbagged. of course it's embracing and one of those issues that goo, you think about the age factor one more time. only in reelection campaign about a month now. if this keeps happening it's going to raise questions about is he going to be the nominee after all or not. >> ainsley: do you think they would change the nominee at this point? >> i'm sorry, do i think change what ainsley? >> ainsley: the nominee? do you think they would pick somebody else at this point? >> hey, anything can happen. the president says he is absolutely running and whether or not we are going to see any primary debates or anything like that. there is still a ways off until we have the first contest for the democrats in south carolina. we will see what happens. >> ainsley: i guess that's the wrong question to ask.

i guess i would ask do you think he would drop off it's up to the voters to choose. >> the president says he is running and a re-election campaign going. all this does is create more doubt and maybe even encourage other democrats or independents to consider their own run if they continue to see issues like this. the president says he is fine. the white house says he is fine. as we saw he got right back up and flew to the white house. >> brian: they used to do that with gerald ford. but he was in his 50's. he fell. he was clumsy. >> ainsley: they used to what? >> brian: chevy chase made fun of the fact that gerald ford fell two or three times. he was the center for the football team. booking coach at yale. he was the best athlete ever to hold the office so they could have fun with him. no one is going to be having fun, i don't think, with this. that's what i noticed ron desantis did not say oh yeah this guy is too old. he just said i hope he is okay. same thing with president trump. it's sad to see. but i also think it was so interesting to hear donald trump

make fun of himself going down that ramp. i give this great speech but everyone talked about how slow i walked because you have -- i have these. i wear these white ones now but when you have a new canvas shoe, you slide until you scuff them up. that's what he h he went down there like he is too old. there is something wrong with him. that was the story. i made a mistake going down that way. and i told the general. >> go down the ramp slowly, eviscerated by all of media. remember that? now we have a president who keeps falling. >> brian: four times. >> ainsley: bless his heart. he falls on the stairs. >> lawrence: he has rubber soles. he doesn't pick up his feet. >> ainsley: he fell there they say he is okay. he might be a little score today might have a skinned need or something. when he almost fell down those steps in japan those steps were concrete. i saw him shuffle and almost fall and thankfully he didn't. because that could have been really bad. he could have really gotten

momentum. interesting to see governor sununu get in. i would only get in if i thought i could win. donald trump will not get the nomination because he can't win the general. chris sununu, that was before the alvin bragg indictment. that was before the 40 point lead that donald trump has rung up that seems to be expanding. he is extremely competent, good, and successful and confident comes from a wig political family. i'm very curious. i'm not convinced is he definitely going to get in. i think he is probably 90% there. but chris christie is clearly. >> lawrence: going to get in and seems like already we are seeing the attack lines is the personality. it's going after the personality over and over again. and you got to remember, there's tons of footage from these candidates praising donald trump and what he did for their state as well as for the country. so it's not really a policy debate. it's about how he carries himself and that -- we saw the town hall last night with donald trump. when they -- sean hannity asked

him, you know, don't you think you should tone it down a bit? these what people are asking me about because they agree with your policies. the crowd started to boo, no, we don't want. sean said knock it off. i'm not saying for you to tone it down. i'm telling you the reason republicans are saying they would be totally in europe camp if you toned it down a little bit. his argue. is i have been under attack from the very beginning. and i feel vindicated that the fbi was targeting me. i'm not toning it down. >> brian: here's the president yesterday talking about the expanding field. >> that's a good thing, isn't it? i think pretty good. i don't think it matters. i don't know why people are doing it 1 percent. some are at zero. i hear chris christie is coming in. aspirations for the presidency. at least in this moment. so, it will be interesting enough to see how this is going to -- i got a lot of hot contenders, i remember in 2016 when he had a lot of hot contenders, does this destroy their political future when you have someone that is up 30 points. >> ainsley: i love listening to their clever responses. people are saying you can only give us four more years and desantis says can i give you eight. trump yesterday i was anchoring outnumbered he was speaking at that luncheon so we took him live. during his speech he said he says i'm only going to bring four. he says i could do it in six months. i would change this country in six months. he needs eight years, i need six months to take it back to the way it was with the border and crime and getting criminals out of our country. it's fascinating their responses to each other. ron desantis comes back with what was his response back?

witnesses say he was last seen splarning in the water a few feet away from that party boat before he disappeared. the crew member and friends on board attempted to the search for robbins for several hours before alerting authorities. a shark expert sharing his thoughts on what could have happened to robbins. >> the likelihood that he was killed by a shark is pretty slim because if he were to have been bitten and killed by a shark, the shark wouldn't have eaten him completely. that's not typically how sharks feed. i think it's much more likely that this inebriated teenager, you know, got swept up in some currents. >> the united states coast guard and royal defense force for the bahamas searched for cammeron's body for days until calling off the search. commodore says the water robbins was swimming in was quote shark infested contrast that with the soundbite you just heard. go fund me set up by the family so far $17,000 has been raised. but they are preparing for a memorial service so i think the family knows sadly where this is

other thing that really caught their eye, certainly, is the strength of the west in supporting ukraine. that was not to be expected to the degree that it has occurred. and i think they are going to keep their eye on that to see if that maintains a long-term strategy here because they know full well if they're involved in conflict operations with the united states, there's going to be a huge pushback. and what they are seeing here is

significant pushback by the international community over russia's invasion. so, yeah, they are paying attention to this. they know they are very different than russia. they know they are an economic super power. they know they have a much better military than russia has as well. but there are lessons here certainly for china to be learned. and that's why i have said from the outset if russia wins in ukraine, china wins. and why is that? because it forces the united states and the international community to take a knee after having stood up against russia's aggression and having failed to support ukraine effectively. that gives impetus to china, an encouragement to them to pursue their aggression using 40s. and that is what we have got stay focused on. the idea that some have that by assisting ukraine, we are not doing proper in terms of assisting taiwan.

and we're encouraging china. that is absolutely the wrong thought process as far as i'm concerned. it makes no sense whatsoever. if russia wins in ukraine, china wins and we got to understand that. we got to defeat russia in ukraine. >> brian: general, it's too bad it takes the 7:20 segment on fridays to explain that. the administration does nothing to explain the big picture to the american people. but we're lucky to have you. let's talk about ukraine. they have absorbed six air assaults in six days. they are knocking a lot of these drones out of the sky, having success. you just told me they are shaping the battlefield now. how successful do you think ukraine can be this spring, this summer? >> i think they have the opportunity to take some significant territory back. and they're going to have somewhere in the neighborhood of 9 # or 12 combined arms brigades

that they have been formed. they have been trained by the west. the united states participated in that, and these all have three mechanized infantry battalions in it and armored battalion in each one of them. right now, they are out there dying shaping operations, clean-up is what they did last june before their successful offensive. they are taking down logistic sites depo fuel sites in crimea, in ukraine, on the occupied territory like crimea is. but, also in russia. and they are doing that because if they slow down the logistic infrastructure for russia's forward line troops, it clearly impacts the battlefield. they know that they are also removing -- they have these engineers that are removing mines on the battlefield that will be -- they are removing their own mines on the battlefield so that they will have freedom of movement. and that is taking place. they are talking to the people in their towns and villages where they are going to move these forces through.

can you say it in layman's terms for us? >> yeah. it's a very strange story gal luft essentially is a former israeli defense force high level officer. he also has a professor, who used to be in a think tank in washington, d.c. working with the chinese business partners of hunter and jim biden. and so during that period, when the bidens were receiving millions of dollars from this chinese energy company cexc gal luft had an inside seat to see what was going on and when the business partners of hunter got arrested in new york and disappeared in china, gal luft decided he would go to the authorities and tell them what he knew because he was afraid he would get caught up in all the legal shenanigans. he met with four fbi agents and two department of justice prosecutors in brussels i over

two days two days 16 hours. he told them that he knew that hunter and jim biden had received millions of dollars in payments from this chinese company. he told them that he knew where the payments were going to their associate rob walker. and he also told them fbi monthly tipped off the chinese there were these indictments coming up. it was pretty bombshell stuff, but he never heard from them again, like many of these witnesses, and then just a couple of months ago in february of this year, he was inside -- he now lives in israel. he had gone to see you press for a few days. he got arrested. the fbi put out a warrant interpol for his arrest. he was in jail, denied bail. when he got bail he basically

we have news to get to a federal court denies a seventh grader free speech request after wearing a shirt saying there are only two genders to school. a judge ruled against allowing liam morrison to file an injunction which would suspend the school's ability to prohibit morrison from expressing his views. we spoke with liam and the director for defending academic freedom just last month. >> completely blocked my ability to took away my ability to have a different opinion than they wanted me to have. >> the school is talking about this issue all the time. and all liam wanted to do express his opinion which is actually shared by a lot of his classmates. >> carley: liam's family are prepared to keep fighting for his right to share his views. now to an incredible moment in utah. a u.s. navy petty officer home from deployment gets to surprise his sister during her high school graduation.
