alexandria hoff has more. >> alexandria: by the time the boom was felt and heard, this plane traveled for hundreds of miles on auto pilot. it was close to long island destination when the recession made 180-degree turn and began flying in the other direction and reached washington, d.c. restricted airspace. norad granted permission to two jets to fly at super sonic speed causing the boom. civilian aircraft was intercepted at 3:20 eastern time. the pilot was -- norad attempted

to establish contact with the pilot until the aircraft crashed. virginia state police followed up, 3:50 p.m., virginia state notified of crash in stanton blue ridge region. search by the sheriff office and augusta fire rescue got underway by ground and air across the region shortly before 8 p.m. first responders reached the aircraft. no survivors were located. speaking to "new york times," john rumple, the plane owner said his daughter, his granddaughter and a nanny were onboard. mr. rumple said he had little details, but hoped they had not suffered. if the plane lost

pressurization, he said they would have never woke up. his wife wrote, my family is gone, my daughter and granddaughter. an investigation is underway into the crash and norad did emphasize multiple attempts were made to contact the pilot, including flares and this plane was not shot down. >> carley: tragic reaction. thank you. san antonio shoppers running for their lives after a shooting breaks out inside the mall in the middle of the day. >> carley: that was the scene. one man was shot and killed in cold blood while getting a haircut inside the mall. authorities believe it was a targeted attack. police say the mall shooting was not connected to two other

joins me now. peter, what is going on in your community very far from the southern border? >> thank you for reaching out to our town of colony here in upstate new york, we're a suburb of the city of albany, a sanctuary city, self-professed and late last weekend, on a friday of memorial day weekend, i was notified by our county executive that no less than three buses of migrants were heading to colony new york, not heading to the sanctuary city of albany issue but to colony, new york and we got going seeking relief from the court system until we can sort this out. my position in this matter is really the jurisdiction of the mayor of the city of new york and does he have jurisdiction to

unilaterally insert a new york city program into municipalities outside of his jurisdiction and in addition also violate local law in the process? i've been an attorney for years, judge for 21, i don't believe he has jurisdiction in colony. if he wanted to work cooperatively, he failed to do so, he moved spirited through the night bringing a bus of migrants here in the town of colony at midnight under the cloak of darkness on memorial day weekend. if the plan is so meritoruous, why sneak in to the town of colony. >> carley: you say this hotel has become a hotbed for police activity. what do you mean by that? >> over the past 18 months, we

determining the republican primary winner? >> you can't win without it in iowa. it's very different than you would find in new hampshire where it's not a big factor. it's a huge factor in iowa. the mistakes a lot of people make who prognosticate the elections thinking that the evangelical vote is monolithic it isn't. it is splintered. several pockets of evangelical support in iowa led why various people and movements and organizations and unless you coalesce them all together, it doesn't necessarily mean that somebody just goes in there and takes it all. i suspect it will be splintered. donald trump will still have the largest portion of it because people in the evangelical world, some of whom, you know, they don't care for some of the tweets or some of the statements may makes but they look at his record and they say by golly he did everything that we wanted a president to do, and that becomes more important than whether the guy sat on the front row of church last sunday.
