all the details for us. hey, peter. >> peter: good morning. house repub republican have been making big accusations for months about biden family corruption and now they are trying to prove it. they got a tip that the fbi got a tip several years ago alleging a conspiracy where joe biden would get millions of dollars from a foreign national in exchange for making policy decisions that the foreign natural wanted. >> if this was, in fact, a credible allegation that was made, this was three years ago. that means it's been in the vaults of the fbi for the last 36 months to include a presidential election in which joe biden was the primary candidate for office. and if they took no action on the credible allegation like this, there was not even a preliminary investigation, there should be some major questions about the politic zalings of the fbi. politicization of the fbi. >> say be the -- years of experience tracks closely did

with what we are seeing into our investigation of the biden's peddling influence schemes no. matter what the form does or doesn't say and the house republicans don't know at this point. they see a need for federal law enforcement reforms asap. >> it's important to continue to move forward to bring there to the american people but also, too, that we do house cleaning within our doj. as you had stated earlier, they are protecting this family. this corruption scheme has been going back to the time that joe biden was vice president with the amount of evidence that's coming forward, it's scary to think that this guy that's currently sitting in the white house, has become this corrupt and it's really only doing one thing and that's aiding and abetting the communist chinese party. >> peter: house republicans threaten to hold the fbi director in contempt of congress if he did not share this document with them. that is now going to be avoided. but they threatened contempt before they even knew what was in it.

and soon we will find out a little bit more because it either proves their pointed or it doesn't. back to you. >> steve: the fbi director is still going to wind up with contempt charges from the republicans, it sounds like? >> peter: well, it depends on how forthcoming he is with this specific issue, there are some other republicans that are trying to hold him in contempt for other reasons. but, with regard to this, they can basically clear it if they cooperate. ains any chance you think we will find out if this is true there was an exchange of money for policy. which policy items we are talking about? >> peter: if that turns out to be true, that will be a very big story. >> steve: joont. >> brian: thanks, peter. >> steve: you will be reporting on it for month from there. >> peter: if it's not true, we probably won't hear anything with it after today. >> ainsley: an exchange of money for baby-sitting because i understand your dad took care of your child this weekend? >> steve: and grandma.

but there's no follow through. >> steve: well, actually, there is, brian. because nbc is reporting this morning that the fbi and the u.s. attorney who is appointed vdid donald trump. >> they looked at all the stuff allegation with ukraine. it could not be substantiated. they could not -- you know, a guy came in and an fbi agent took his information, wrote it down in this thing. the fbi apparently looked into it, they could not substantiate it. however, then attorney general bill barr asked the u.s. attorney in pittsburgh, a fellow by the name of scott brady, to investigate hunter biden and ukraine. so, apparently there was more to

that deal because that investigation got opened but regarding the bribery, they couldn't find any there there. >> brian: with the guy that came forward, that was an fbi agent. >> steve: the whistleblower agent friend you just interviewed in the last hour? >> brian: that wasn't the guy. that was a different guy. >> ainsley: he said that whoever -- he said i filled out a ton of these forms as an agent. the 10:23. he says it's there. they filed it away just so they would have a paper trail someone told them information they had it on hand. they had a document of it. they filed it away hoping no one would ever ask questions about it again. hoping no one would ever want it investigated. he says it's there. they are going to give that a redacted version. it is going to have names marked out today to comer. and they will review it and we will find out more today. >> brian: one of those investigations like the one with hunter biden's taxes just goes for five years and they never get to the boat of it or the hunter biden investigation into the gun charge it. just goes on and on and on? oh yeah, we are investigating. i'm really concerned about it. we never get a verdict.

we never get an indictment. >> ainsley: it's been three years. >> or exoneration. >> we don't know who the person who came into the fbi and said hey i'm going to tell you this story about bribery and stuff like that. we don't know the identity of that. >> ainsley: we don't but comer does. >> brian: description of a guy who worked for the obama administration. >> ainsley: and from friend says he thinks comer does know. >> steve: maybe. the reason, according to nbc, the reason they are redacting things is to protect the identity of the fellow who came in and was the source. the person who presumably worked at the fbi, i think people probably know who that person is. earn certainly comer and grassley know who that person is. but their identity has not been released either. >> ainsley: and i hope it's not. that allows people to know they can ogo in and get information. >> brian: using that as an excuse is comical. you redact the name. for him first not acknowledging

it was there then he acknowledges it was there then he said you can't see it. then see it at the fbi. okay, i will brings it to you. and that's where we are at today. >> >> the worry is good reporters would get information and try to figure out hot person is. and then that person's life would be in peril. nonetheless, according to nbc, they looked into the allegation and it could not be substantiated. let's see what comer says. let's see what raskin says at the conclusion of today's. >> brian: same investigation they gave us the whole russia affair three years nonstop leaks that told us that donald trump was in cahoots with russia. all right. so let's talk about china if we can. because a series of things have happened that shows the provocation has hit all-time high. think about the storming every our military bases in alaska. 13 men was caught there. think about the espionage taking place within our borders. think about the amount of chinese officials -- excuse me, chinese illegal immigrants that have stormed our border.

>> ainsley: or buying our property. >> brian: or the simulation of an attack on our air cavity carrier in the area. there is no doubt about it. china's refusal to speak to us even about this shows that we have hit a situation where either we show strength or we knuckle under. >> ainsley: and the defense minister is defending sailing. this warship across the path of an american destroyer. the chinese warship came within 150 yards of hitting uss chung huhn during a joint canada u.s. mission sailing through the taiwan strait. can you see video of it there june 3rd of this year a few days ago. >> chinese defense minister said this. they are not here for innocent passage, referring to us, the united states. they are here for provocation. the best way is for the country is especially the navy vessels, and fighter jets of countries not to do closing actions around other country's territories. what's the point of going there? in china we always say mind your own business. it is undeniable.

that a severe conflict or confrontation between china and the u.s. will be an unbearable disaster for the world. nonetheless, once again, they did it. they are trying to provoke us. we didn't take the bait. >> brian: take a quick look what's happened. first off china tensions aptly named. see what happened. 150 yards. these are international waters. we need access to the taiwan strait. not just america, but the world. they want us out of this whole region. so they said we'll send a message. we'll cut across the u.s. destroyer and make them take evawive action. not just one time. it is an additional time. think about what's hand over taiwan. remember, how they have overflew when nancy pelosi went over there. as we sent officials over there, they surrounded the island and had simulated invasions. think about this life fire exercises up top. followed again on april 7th. >> and then over the course of two or three days sending a message because we had a delegation that came over. think about the aircraft carrier that surrounded. if you are in taiwan, what are you thinking now?

desperate to take by 2027 we have shown no determination to back them up we continue to back off when confronted. so what kind of message is china getting in when we send over three to eight ceos to still do business and people like jamie dimon coming out saying, hey, you know what? we can be a bridge between the two nations? i'm pretty sure that's not really in our nation's national interest. i thought tom cotton nailed it over the weekend on "fox news sunday." weave got to stop looking like we are begging for a conversation with weather they don't want it. >> steve: sure. well, you know, our foreign policy obviously going to be front and center during the debated heetiond up to our 2024 presidential election. this week three new names on the republican side are expected to get in. tomorrow it sounds like chris christie at a town hall up in new hampshire is going to say, you know what? i want to be the next president of the united states. also, you have got mike pence, former vice president.

he will declare on wednesday. as will north dakota governor doug burgum. the field expanding because hopefuls see an opportunity as ron desantis struggles to become the undisputed challenger to donald trump. because, according to polling, one in four republicans are still looking for an alternative to the two frontrunners. and right now the frontrunners obviously donald trump way ahead of ron desantis who is in second place. >> ainsley: yeah. when you look at the democratic side, the latest fox news national poll, kennedy, bobby kennedy is at 16% and biden 62%. the cnn poll has he kennedy at 20% and biden at 60%. i know that biden is ahead by a lot. for kennedy to get 20%, about 20% of the voters. >> steve: tha25. >> ainsley: that's a big deal. >> brian: one in four voter

looking for somebody else. quality of the today nikki haley to tim scott going on "the view" today. bret baier broke down the field as he sees it right now with trey gowdy. >> former new jersey governor chris christie obviously ran back in 2016. he was a large reason why marco rubio got knocked out in new hampshire, if you remember that debate. chris christie was essentially a suicide bomber on that stage. taking rubio out. i think he plans to try do that to former president trump. he has talked about and this a forecasts that. it's a much different target. i think desantis and former vice president pence are going to spend a lot of time in iowa touting social conserving values. i think just big picture, trey, it's a big deal that the former vice president of the former president, who is running, is going to get in this race. i mean it says quite a bit just by it happens. >> steve: not too far away from iowa is north dakota. that is why it north dakota

governor doug burgum is going to get in. is he really not very well-known outside of north dakota. he apparently made a boat load of money as a software developer. and one of the central issues of his campaign is energy policy. because he has set a goal of north dakota being carbon neutral by the year 2023. and it's not to the exclusion of fossil fuel but instead it's accelerating technology to capture cash won capture on the ground in north dakota. you are going to hear a lot about energy in a new way from the governor of north dakota. who is going to get in a little later on. >> brian: real clear average trump still leads joe biden 45.5 to 43.7. and desantis leads biden by about 1. 44.7 to 43.3 see how they line up. youngkin is a no for now but governor sununu. i imagine he won't wait too much

be ashamed of who they are. okay. and that's americans get that americans are the most generous, tolerant people in the world. so you have got this and there's months, you know, celebrating everybody. you know, around the spectrum. so that's fine. the issue becomes is that the gay community begins to see this as the demonstration, right? that this is what you do if you want -- it's performative politics. what we have to really be aware of and to not be distracted by is what is going on inside the companies? right? how are the employees treated as opposed to well it's like the government or any other company fly the rainbow flag. you can have debates about that. but it becomes that we should be more aware of the nature of really what is happening. we have made tremendous progress and we should continue to make more. but, this you know, look, it's also a sign oh, yeah, we are going to support you publicly where it's safe and you are already accepted. if you are not, we're going to not say anything. and, look, we have got businesses to run. let's not be hypocritical the

gay community importantly around the world, they know what the differences are. so let's not be, you know, captured by this kind of performance art and virtue signaling. it does have to be bigger and really not be what you signal outwardly but how do you treat your gay employees as long as we want to be treated the same as opposed to being treated differently. >> brian: do you think this plays into the fact that parents are uneasy with targeting of kids? >> well, with the companies like the target and bud light dynamics are very important. in fact, it's not about transgenderrism or pride at all. we have embraced that, yeah the rainbow flag, the gesture is great. the difference is when companies begin to engage in the politics of it. begin to push dynamics that belong in the home with parents and when they start selling things seem like a lecture. that's what the american people are saying. they are not saying suddenly anti-gay. they are not. there is a lot of bigotry out there. we know that but americans

intercept that plane because they didn't know what they were up to. people who heard and felt the sonic boom thought the sound was the emergency. that had actually happened in the sky hundreds of miles back and the boom was the response. [sonic boom] that's the sound of f-16 jets breaking sound barrier chasing an aircraft broken into airspace in washington, d.c. the pilot was not responding to radio calls. the cessna ultimately crashed in rural, virginia killing the four on board. norad was very clear they did not take this plane down. now, here is fox news jon scott also a licensed pilot speaking to the plane's unusual flight pat. >> -- path. it took off from tennessee

concord would fly out to dulles. folks around that area had not heard something like that in a long time. did you hear it being down in d.c.? >> i did. and i kind of thought the way that you had where i'm used to these loud noises. you have the national guard routinely running drills. people often complain about that. i was out back blowing bubbles with my 2-year-old. knowing there was a 2-year-old in the sky at that point likely, you know, had lost consciousness, this wrecks me. it wrecks anybody. >> steve: yeah. absolutely. and we don't know -- presumably abc the pilots f-16s flew right next to the plane. it sounds like the pilot was passed out on auto pilot the plane was. >> yeah. i think that's why norad was so explicit in the fact they want people to understand they did not take this plane out of the sky. it likely ran out of fuel. people had seen some sparks coming between those aircrafts in the sky. those were actually flares

have a meeting with them. we did have a meeting with the principal but she couldn't be helpful so we asked to speak with mr. carvalo. we have made he ignored every opportunity we have to speak with them we have no choice but to take it to the street so he hears us and come speak to us. >> ainsley: it all started the assembly you are talking about. students at elementary school and a book was read that some parents have problems with the book is called the great big book of families. it talks about multi cultural families. multi religious families. families with adopted children. children with same sex partners and some of the parents said, it's a lot of armenian families live in this area. one dad said i don't like the idea of my little kid coming home and saying it's fine to have two dads two men to love each other.

it's not we do not respect that in our culture as armenians. another dad says lgbtq exist in all culture and communities and our representation and voices being heard is not a discussion it's a civil right enders through decades and decades of activism. where do you stand on this issue? >> where do you stand on this issue. >> 10-year-old children should not be exposed to any of this lgbtq. >> ainsley: you think they are too young. >> they are too young. it wasn't about the issue of the book itself only. because after the book was supposed to be read, they were supposed to turn around and have a discussion about what they just read and heard. and we have a thing one of our parents asked questions numerous times. what would would you answer my child when he comes up to you and says i have a mommy and daddy, my mommy was pregnant. when they have two daddy's, which daddy gets pregnant? where does the baby come from? what are you going to answer them? not one school official has an

answer to that question. they are saying it's not about sexualizing or grooming our children but, yet, they have no answers to us. and when we want to speak with them and have these discussions they totally ignore us. and they just don't want to talk to us and i'm fed up. and the school is not safe for my children to take back and they don't want to come out and talk to me and say want to make the school safer and what's going to be their next move they totally want to ignore me and i'm not going to take my kids back until they come out and talk to us. >> ainsley: so what are you going to do? private schools? home school? >> well, this is armenian community school. it's dual language for armenian children to learn armenian and english. i'm not going to give that up easy and decide to move my children to another school because i really want to learn them to learn armenian and english at the same time. i will fight this fight as long as i have to.
