it happened in 1780. long before the industrial revolution. dark cloud stretched from maine to new jersey blotting out the sun, people thought it was the end of times. the sun might never come out again. they had to use candles at noon to get around because it was so dark. eventually it passed and everything was okay. that dark cloud in 1780 was from canadian wildfires. 240 years ago. can't blame that on climate change. everybody was riding horses. you might be surprised to find out over the last 100 years, there have been less wildfires, not more. the "wall street journal" says in the early 1900s about 4% of land worldwide burned every year by 2021 that was down to 2.5%. instead of obsessing over climate change they should take a look at forest management and making sure canadian campers listen to smoky the bear.

said quote it's not true it wasn't closed down on the contrary it was sent to delaware for further investigation. not only is raskin full of it but barr actually blew this up. the delaware prosecutor now has the bribe document his investigation is still active so joe biden is running for re-election while being investigated for foreign bribery? oh, and he is also under a special counsel investigation for leaving his classified documents spread eagle all over chinatown. now the ball is in the department of justice's court is merrick garland going to investigate trump and let biden off scot-free and will christopher wray be held in contempt for a cover-up. let's ask james comer and iowa senator chuck grassley. so, congressman comer. have you spoken to the fbi is this resolution for contempt going to drop tomorrow? >> as of tomorrow we are still planning on having the contempt hearing. i will say, this jesse. they are negotiating. they are offering deals now to

try to cooperate with us in our investigation. and my investigation has always been about following the money and following all the leads that would point in the direction of explaining how the biden family has been receiving millions of dollars from our adversaries around the world. so i'm listening to the fbi's offers. but, as of now, we still plan on moving forward. >> okay. we'll follow that tomorrow. senator chuck grassley, you are a resolute guy you are patient, have you done this before. you know how this works. do you feel like the department of justice and the fbi are playing games? >> absolutely. first off, i want to compliment congressman comer because he has been very helpful with working me on this issue. and we wouldn't be where we are with the fbi if he hadn't have been involved. so let me answer your question this way. we is a unclassified document.

we have what the fbi calls a credible source because they paid this person over years six figures. and i have got a reputation for protecting whistleblowers. and we're going to keep going until we get this document. but, yes, i believe the fbi is covering for president biden. and the information that's in this, is from a credible source from credible whistleblowers, people that are protected by the whistleblower protection law, and we have just got get to the bottom of it and we are not going to give up until we get this document. >> jesse: senator grassley we are hearing the fbi says they can't protect this whistleblower if this document drops. he might wind up dead. how does that make you feel? >> let's put it this way. look at -- compared to the way they are treating congress, as a second class citizen, they gave the "new york times" on may the

18th, a classified document. we have an unclassified document. and they gave him a name of a human source. did they worry about that person being assassinated? i think it's all blue smoke. >> there is a lot of smoke going around if you look up in the air. congressman comer, you said you are still negotiating with the fbi. what kind of deal are they trying to work out? you are just asking for them to comply with the subpoena and deliver the document to the full house, right? >> right. >> remember where we are, jesse. two weeks ago when senator grassley will testify to this, the fbi wouldn't even admit that this document existed. and now not only are they admitting the document existed, they have allowed me to go in and look at a redacted version and they are allowing -- they are offering right now temporarily agreement here to let committee members go in and

look at the document. but, jamie raskin and his friends at "the washington post" and cnn, they have gone out and tried to discredit this document. they have tried to discredit the whistleblower. they have tried to say it has something to do with rudy giuliani and it did not have anything to do with giuliani. you said in your monologue that raskin said that this case had been closed. it has never been closed. but here's what i believe, jesse. i don't believe that anyone has ever investigated this. this is the whole problem that senator grassley has had from day one. no one has investigated this. now i can assure the american people the house oversight committee is investigating this. we will use our subpoena power to trace every bank account that could potentially have been involved in this money laundering scheme. we believe that there is some reason that biden family members are getting money all across the world. we believe that this document is consistent with what we have seen in romania and china and other countries around the

world. that's why it is important to us. >> if the document has been in delaware with the prosecutor for a couple of years. what's been going on in delaware? >> i don't know. that's a great question. i suspect nothing. i just wonder if the prosecutor in delaware even knew about the shell companies and all the bank accounts and all the money laundering that the bidens were doing with the money they were receiving from our adversaries around the world. for all we know and all that's been reported is the special prosecutor was only looking at tax evasion for a couple years and lying on a gun application. if you are going to investigate the biden family, you have to investigate not just tax evasion but money laundering. and racketeering and being an unregistered foreign agent and bribery. so i think we're producing information that's actually helping the u.s. attorney in delaware and helping the special counsel that's investigating joe biden for mishandling classified documents. >> jesse: the american people want to thank you, representative comer and you, senator grassley, for uncovering

the possible indictment would be brought by special counsel jack smith. we believe he is making a case that donald trump improperly brought classified documents to mar-a-lago after his presidency. trump's attorneys met with special counsel jack smith on monday and when a defense lawyer meets with a prosecutor face to face that usually signals that a decision is near. for attorney general bill barr he agrees. >> i suspect it's near. i have said for a while i think this is the most dangerous legal risk facing the former president. and if i had to bet, i would bet that it's near. >> jesse: no spin news reports that the indictment could happen as early as this week. and other trump source says the indictment will be next week. that, according to the "new york times." donald trump just denied these reports. telling the "times" that he will not be indicted and that he did nothing wrong. now, this is a major reason why ron desantis declared his candidacy. the florida governor visited the border this morning and met with law enforcement and border

patrol agents. >> i think that this has been a massive dereliction of duty by the president. you know, you are president. you would think that you would take a sense of pride in ensuring that the territorial integrity of your country is actually respected. i'm a big believer in constructing a border wall because you don't -- you are never going to have enough people to be able to cover the entire border. and so you -- to give our people a chance, you have got to have some areas where we know are impenetrable. >> jesse: as desantis handles on strength covid. desantis handles trump on his strength the border. the primary debate bringing up the fact that he flew migrants to martha's vineyard. there is a lot of action in the republican primary field today. dana perino joins me now. dana, are you feeling the energy move around this mar-a-lago case? >> i think that we are in the indictment zone. i don't know if it's tomorrow. i don't know if it's next week. i don't know if the grand jury

is going to come back and say we don't think an indictment is warranted here. that could happen. >> jesse: could happen. >> dana: i do think that your point about trump's lawyers meeting with the prosecutors and we haven't heard that that went super well. so i think that's why we are in the zone. >> could donald trump just stay at mar-a-lago or wherever he is and say come and get me? >> dana: he could. i think -- the likely scenario and what could possibly happen, which might actually happen under president trump. the likely scenario is that his lawyers are informed that he is going to be indicted. he needs to turn himself. in they give him an opportunity to surrender, just like he did a few months ago in the new york case. so he comes to d.c. or wherever they are filing the case, and you will have an arrest. now, we didn't get a picture. remember,. >> jesse: you get one in a federal case? >> dana: not necessarily. this is so unprecedented. this is a former president. also a candidate in the election. >> jesse: this is crazy. >> dana: it sun precedented. now, the scenario that might happen, president trump has said

he is not getting indicted because did he nothing wrong. okay. maybe that's true. if he does though want -- think that it would help him to make the justice department come and get him, does it help him if they -- if the fbi agents have to go mar-a-lago, knock on the door, sir, you need to come with us. trump is not a flight risk. they don't need to deploy the element of surprise. they can tell him you are going to be arrested and i think the most likely thing is he just says okay. let's just get it over with. >> jesse: you remember how everybody rallied to him after the bragg situation. could you see that happening again but even more significantly this time? >> dana: i think we have to figure out what the facts of the case are first. what does jack smith, the special counsel have? we haven't actually seen that yet. we have seen rumors of it. let's have them lay that out if they are going to bring the indictment. and then we can see. regardless of that, could it help him politically with republican base voters? maybe. but now we're in the primary system. and you have desantis and others that are going to try to go

after him. it just hasn't worked very well for any of those candidates so far. >> jesse: not yet it hasn't. desantis is at the border today hitting that issue really hard. how do you think he has done in the first two weeks of the candidacy? >> i think it is so smart for him to go to the border. the two top issues for republican voters over and over again in our poll and every other poll, inflation and the economy and immigration. so go and talk about immigration. about three weeks ago, when title 42 was about to end the day before, and there was a frenzy of news coverage. former vice president mike pence came on "america's newsroom." it was fine. but it was from the backyard in indiana. and i remember thinking if you really want to make a splash, why aren't you at the border? you know, with the pictures behind you? because this is a visual medium. you have to show that you want to be there. i think desantis' team is really smart to go there right away. >> jesse: so he has been at the border. r.f.k. has been at the border. trump has been at the border. everyone at the has been at the

all week long. one school official reportedly encourages female students to change in front of their male coaches. oh and then there is a sex change support group and then there is the pride month homework. are you ready? one teacher made kids watch a ted talk how homosexuality is important for the survival of our species. well, if everybody was homosexual our species wouldn't survive. that would be my answer. is this the kind of homework that's preparing kids to ace the sat's? these parents are upset. >> they need to stop asking little children what they sex sexually identify as. children are not sexual beings nor should they be. the sexualization of children is pedophilia. i'm completely against the law that they are trying to pass to teach little kids in the school, 6 years old to decide about sexual things they don't even know what's going on.

of movement because school administrators are hiding everything from us. the protest that you saw, it wasn't a protest. we were simply as parents attending a school board meeting and fathers and mothers we were confronted by antifa, clearly you can see who they're, they are wearing masks, they are wearing head coverings, our parents we showed up looking like ourselves. i have been a parent in the school district for about 11 years. a middle schooler and high schooler. the school district used to be a gem in los angeles. it's been on the decline for the last four to five years i would say. >> jesse: they showed up ready to rumble. they are wearing helmets. you don't show up with helmets if you are ready to rumble. did you feel protected out there? i saw some officers. >> we felt very protected. our glendale police department is phenomenal i want to thank our women and men in blue. it's separate from the los angeles police department but, however, you know, your guard is up. the anxiety is really high.
