10:00 pm
the capability of a two inch lift. >> the versatility of the available multiplexed tailgate and the connection of a thirteen point four inch diagonal touch screen chevy silverado taking adventure to a whole new level. hello and welcome to fox news tonight. i'm harris faulkner. suddenly, the nation is witnessing something we haven't seen before. the southern poverty law center is now for the very first time labeling the florida headquartered moms for liberty and eleven other right wing parents rights groups as extremist groups. in its annual report released just yesterday, well, this may feel like this move is out of the blue, but the ground has been tranched to trip up any conservatives who question
10:01 pm
the liberal establishment. and it's getting pretty nasty, too. it's becoming apparent that we barely skimmed the surface. the left weaponizes that particular word, extremists against republicans. congressman hakeem jeffries, a key leader among democrats in the house, is using that word non stop these days, support gun rights. you're an extremist. pro-life urate. extremists don't want the schools of government brainwashing your kids. you're an extremist, too. it's so-called republican moderates who talk a good game. but at the end of the day, always, always, always vote with the extremist. the extreme magar republicans were determined to take the country down because of the extreme maga republicans, because of an effort by right wing extremists to push back against the extremists. these so-called moderates voted
10:02 pm
with the extremist force. those extreme right wing cuts down the throats of the american people, right wing extremists that would have hurt millions of everyday americans. >> i want to talk a little bit about the word extremist, because it's being used a lot like the word racist right now. if somebody on the far left calls you a racist, they're often trying to end the conversation that they don't have any more words for. their side is losing. if somebody calls you an extremist, i suspect it has the same effect for them. who wants to be labeled these things that other people know will get canceled and end whatever productivity you have in making positive change. they want to shut you up and shut you down. but wait a second. some extremists seem to be acceptable, especially those who mock christians. i guess it all depends on which team you're rooting for. for example, the sisters of perpetual indulgence and lgbt
10:03 pm
group that uses sexualized christian imagery like pole dancing on a replica of jesus's cross. that group gets plenty of democrats support. california democrats in the state senate. they're just honored that group after the l.a. dodgers had to cancel them for pride night because so many religious groups complain. and now the dodgers have decided that maybe the sisters of perpetual indulgence should be indulged. so they're back on for the game for pride. here's editor scott on his twitter cajoling with that group. in the comments about that, someone tweeted this. oh, look, a sitting senator honoring a sacrilegious hate group on our tax dollars love who you want, be happy. but whatever they're doing with other people's faith is not love. it feels a lot like hate, extreme hate.
10:04 pm
and that's just one example. if you're extreme enough to support giving young children puberty blockers and advocating for surgery on young children's, dems are apparently okay with that, too. but moms of liberty, a group that was founded in 2020 one over concerns about lock down effects on kids, they make the extremist list. after all, they began to use their collective voice. talk to people about the journey of children in classrooms in america. they question whether or not we want to teach our white children that they are guilty of something they didn't do generations ago. >> and they ask, do we really want to teach our black children that the only way they can rise is if they just admit they're victims so liberals can force some help on them. that they don't need and no doubt will hinder those children more than will probably help. do they really care about our children? they certainly like that word extremist, which you're looking
10:05 pm
at now is that new list from the lc of twelve parental groups labeled extremist yesterday. why the black sites and its findings at moms of liberty is connected with other extremist groups. msnbc went as far as to compare moms of liberty and groups like it to the kkk. >> let me kudos to the spdc for an extremely comprehensive, well-written well packaged report. i recommend everybody reading this who wants to just become more familiar with what's happening all around us now. because the overall takeaway is that hate is becoming more entrenched. they have gone local. i hearken back to decades ago when the fbi and the doj really aggressively targeted and successfully went after criminally the kkk. and what happened there was they took off their hoods and their sheets and they put on suits and ties and they went local and they ran for office.
10:06 pm
so this isn't the first time we've seen going local mainstreaming of hatred. we've seen before. and we've see it now with people who truly are driven by hate and deception, running for school board. well, it doesn't stop there. npr, which is funded in part by your tax dollars, said moms of liberty, is akin to segregationists in the nineteen fifties. >> and so what is it about them? about moms for liberty that has landed them with the label of extremist? well, the cdc says moms for liberty is an anti student inclusion group and they have drawn some parallels with segregationist parent groups that grew in the wake of the brown v. board of education decision of the 1950s. is, of course, mary louise. you know, that was a supreme court case that integrated public schools. >> well, let's have this. listen, just because it's part of the factual journey here, while they're busy judging
10:07 pm
parental groups, the southern poverty law center has had a tough recent history. the center had to fire its co-founder, maurice, for undisclosed reasons, reportedly before he was fired, though, two dozen employees had complained to management about the concerns of and this is a quote from them, mistreatment, sexual harassment, gender discrimination and racism, which threaten the law center's moral authority and integrity. also reported, a former employee claimed dss had a, quote, reputation for hitting on young women, end quote. >> but tonight, we won't focus on the speal see, we'll focus on the group of women that now has some one hundred thousand members from moms of liberty, co-founder tiffany justice joins me now. welcome. good to see you. well, let's get this out of there having me. absolutely. and i know there's a little bit of a delay, so we'll feel through that. i want to ask you, first of all
10:08 pm
and get this out of the way. the lc accuses you of being connected to extremist groups. what's your reaction to that? is that true? >> it's just absolutely absurd. we are a group of moms and dads and grandparents and aunts, uncles, community members that are very concerned about the direction of the country. and we're very concerned about the failure that we're seeing in america's public schools. our kids deserve deserve to learn to read in school. and harris, we're upsetting the balance of power in public education. and i think what you're seeing is an orchestrated attempt to stop our voices. yeah, i want to press in a little bit. i mean, you you're saying why you think you might be singled out and on this list, but i'm curious to know, how do you go on and do all of those things? you've had some victories in terms of what your goals are. from what i've been reading, how do you continue to make a difference to have your voice heard? if lc has put you on an extremist group list, we're going to keep doing the work that we do across the country.
10:09 pm
we're set up by chapters. we have over one hundred and twenty thousand members. and if you talk to the moms and dads on the ground, they're concerned about some of the things that they're seeing taught in schools. they're concerned about the fact that not every american child is learning to read in school. so we're going to keep focused on our mission of getting liberty minded individuals elected, a school board and ensuring that parental rights are protected at every level of government. you know, i am curious about if there's a legal fight that you can make against i mean, the southern poverty law center to get your good name back. what do you do? >> i think we're exploring a lot of different options to take, but the focus is really on the children. you know, our concern, harris, is this. we watched as the biden administration worked with the nba to have the department of justice label parents domestic terrorists. i spoke and testified in front of congress about the fact the fbi had contacted one of our moms. now we're watching again as another organization
10:10 pm
is labeling groups, as is hate groups. and, you know, i think we've got a lot of questions about how moms for liberty is being discussed, these other parental rights groups. and if there's an attempt to silence and suppress our voices. do you feel that that's already happening? i think there's an effort to do that. >> but we are joyful warriors. we're not going to stop. i mean, no one's going to fight for anything like a parent is going to fight for their child. and, you know, we are moms and dads and they're concerned about the future of the country. well, and one thing that they may not see is that this is not political for parents. you know, we all come together on this issue. they may want to try to divide us on the political side of this, but but that's tough to do. a politician are finding that out the hard way. on the left, tiffany, just as co-founder of moms for liberty, thank you very much for being with me. thank you. >> parental rights and education is set to be a major issue in the twenty, twenty four presidential campaign. and you can understand why, because in places where parents were ignored, those candidates
10:11 pm
didn't win. and when they were listened to and supported, those candidates did. virginia is a good example of that. remember, it has a republica because of the fight there over parental rights. and we thought we'd talk to one contender for the republican nomination for her thoughts on all this. nikki haley is twenty. twenty four presidential candidate and she's speaking at an upcoming moms for liberty summit in philadelphia. and that starts, i believe, june twenty nine. so that'll be quite the thing. i first want to ask you, welcome to the program and ask this. when you hear tiffany just now, tiffany is talking about singled out and her voice being diminished as a group of one hundred thousand women, what's your reaction? you know, it's ridiculous. i will tell you, if you're going to call moms for liberty a hate group, then then put me right there in them. i'm speaking at their joyful warrior summit. does that sound like a hateful group to you? i'm speaking to them in july and the idea this is we are
10:12 pm
parents, we are parents that care about our kids. we are parents that worry about government overreach. we are parents that want transparency in the classroom. we are parents are saying, look, we have one job, one job, and that's to get it right. and that's to make sure that our kids are brought up with the best education they can have. and we don't want anything hidden from us. that's what moms for liberty is saying. and the idea that you have this one group that can try and tarnish them, you can list them as a hate group all you want, but then you're listing parents as a hate group and that the idea that you would list parents as a hate group, that all they're doing wrong supposedly is showing up at school board meetings, is taking an active leadership role within their kid's education. that's what we want. every mom and dad to do. >> are you surprised that we've gotten to this part of the journey on, though? i mean, i hearken back to just a couple of years ago when the doj and the fbi got involved with, you know,
10:13 pm
looking at parents who were going to school board meetings because one of the largest school board unions or teachers unions in the country was found to be through its emails working with the white house to kind of single parents out at those meetings. well, i'll tell you what we need is a president that's going to have the backs of moms and dads in this country that's going to see the fact that covid really calls a lot of problems when they lock down all those schools and left our kids not ready with anxiety, with depression. we've got a lot of work to do. we can fix this. but what we have to start doing is have government work for families again, have them go and have the backs of these parents that get the fact that, look, they have one job. we're just trying to get our kids right. get out of our way. let us parent. you teach them the basics and we'll take care of the rest. and you know, whether it is making sure there's transparency in the classroom, whether it's making sure that parents can decide which school their children go to and they're not mandated by a
10:14 pm
zip code, whether it's the fact that we put vocational classes back in our schools so that our kids learn how to build the things we want to start making in america again, we've got to go towards that, whether it's the fact that we have to stop this critical race theory where if a little girl goes into kindergarten, she's white, you're telling her she's bad, she's brown or black, you're telling her she's never going to be good enough. she's always going to be a victim. parents care. parents are standing up. parents should stand. and it doesn't matter what they label us, we should keep fighting for our kids. all right. 2020 four is turning out to be a bigger field on the republican side. and that's got to have a fundraising effect, i would imagine. but at the same time, i've heard you say you said it to me, i have never lost a race . talk to me about being in it right now. i welcome everybody into the race. you know, we've got a country to save. and i think the voters are going to decide. they're going to look for the person who works the hardest, is the smartest and gets their message out. that's what i'm going to do.
10:15 pm
we're going to win this. nikki haley, thank you for being on fox news tonight. it was good to see you. thanks so much. go to nikki haley, .com. >> all right. well, we have much more on how the left is indoctrinating schoolchildren with radical gender and ideology. later, in the program. take a look at this unbelievable, shocking video. antifa activists getting violent and assaulting parents outside a school board meeting in california. when fox news tonight continues . a heart. do they have life insurance? no, but we have life insurance, john. >> i'm trying to find something you can afford. >> fortunately, in only a few minutes, selectquote found john a five hundred thousand dollar policy for only twenty nine dollars a month. and his wife and a five hundred thousand dollar policy for only twenty one dollars a month. go to select cocom now and get the insurance your family needs

10:19 pm
10:20 pm
well, no doubt you have been seeing the pictures and hearing about it. look at new york city right now. at this hour, the smoke has moved back in. we got a little break for about 90 minutes. a cloud of smoke descended on the entire east coast and it's a thousand miles wide . so ohio, a lot of places are seeing this, but it is so severe right now in new york city that it's the worst air quality tonight outside of new delhi, india, which is unfortunately struggled with that for a very, very long time. we're nearly eclipsing them 100 million people across 18 states are feeling the effects of this in the u.s. . >> new york city looks like a post apocalyptic movie.
10:21 pm
we are joined now with fox news coverage from across new york city. katie byrne is in the fox weather area. actually, we used to be 15 minutes ago. we could see the city behind you, katie. now we can't see anything. and we also have nate foy, who joins us from yankee stadium. >> i'll go to nate first. you've got a little bit of daylight behind you left and some clear skies. nate, when i watched you earlier, it was like orange and red. and so on and so forth. >> they did call off the game. i understand. they did call off the game. harris. it would be pretty difficult catching a pop fly in conditions like this. they're supposed to have a double header tomorrow. we'll see how that goes, because new york city mayor eric adams projects that tomorrow will have even worse conditions than we saw today. and you mentioned what we saw earlier. we spent our day in central park and starting at 8:00 a.m., conditions just got worse and worse and worse until eventually at 2:00 p.m. today. it hit its peak where we could
10:22 pm
not see the sun. and it was totally dark. cars had their lights on. drivers had to use lights to navigate the part. and these people here, harris drivers had to use lights to navigate in the middle of the day. so it was really an eerie feeling throughout the entire day. of course, not only new york city dealing with this, the tri state area as far south as searching day four, even healthy people, never mind people with respiratory issues and real quickly, in your video there, we did i think that was southwest. we did see an airline operating again. we had a full ground stop at one of america's busiest airports here on the east coast. i mean, everything had to come to a standstill. the visibility was i mean, from my house in jersey. i couldn't see new york city anymore. i'd never seen that. thank you. i'm going to go to you, katie, now.
10:23 pm
tell us why this is happening, who it's affecting. and you heard nate say we're now prepping because of the mayor and the governor of new york for a. yeah, harris millione acres that
10:24 pm
burn, but they won't be able to put it all out, and they need help. i don't know how many people can get in there right now. look at the landscape in british columbia, canada. the earth is an inferno. we see more days of this. katie, last quick question to you, and it has to do with the colors that we're seeing. i see your hair blowing in the wind, so i know there's more smoke coming. real quickly, why is it all these different colors?
10:25 pm
>> that's the interesting thing. people have been noticing things like the moon turning red at night. it's that wildfire smoke interacting with the sunlight. those particles interacting with everything, turning the moon red in some places. it's likely we'll see that tonight again, which a lot of people are taking photos of that, sharing it with people, because it's interesting to see. >> all right. katie burn and nate foy, thank you so much. appreciate it. >> thank you, harris. >> so we're being told to wear masks sharett. so we're being told to wear maskagain.s again, the mayor of new york city, the governor of new york andyo, an municipalitis and states up and down the seaboard. and you heard, i mean, a thousandwn the sea miles widef cities, 18 states stay indoors.? so so what will this do to us? with me now, dr. janet nashwa, a fox news contributor, the medica l director of city, nder md. great to see you. wish it were under different circumstances. differecistances.tell us why wg told now. don't go outside. i mean, with a lot of intensitbo
10:26 pm
behind that message now. well, first of all, i want to say this is a totallyt fo different circumstance than covid. so we're not going to be focusing on mask on mass like we with covid. but what we're seeing here is this thick smoke wildfirek to sweeping through our city. and we look to see the air quality index. it reached more than four hundred on a scalscale e of five hundred. if you go more than one hundred, that's considered hazardous. a and unhealthy for all of us andh especially forav thoseng who have underlying medical conditions, who have heart disease, lung disease, maybe asthma or copd, you're at a higher risk of potential complicationhes and things the pollutants outdoors can worse.make it worse. so what you're breathing in when you go outdoors is this iculate polluted particulate ma, what we call it. so it's sort of like debris in the smoke. and if you inhale it, it goesode deep into your lungs and into your bloodstream. am day i hatoday, for example, i hd patients coming in with asthma a exacexacerbations, cough and wheezing, some sore sore throats, itchy eyes, most of
10:27 pm
us will be fine and do okay. but when it gets to this, yo lea ,you do want to protectke yourself. simple steps that you can take, if you see that there's smoke, if you see the fog, if you canyo smell, then you want to try to stay indoors. but if you do have to go outsid e and ninety five can help protect you against that ag,ee particulate matter you want to just be careful to not expose yourself to that type of chemicalt expo. well, i noticed here in typ the city some of the construction workers, those >>eple who have to be outsidof for hours, were wearing some pretty heavy duty masks. the particulatwearine matter tht you have that you've been talking about, we put this graphic up on screen that people can see to compare human hair to what we might see out there. i mean, that that actually is pretty large to be inhaling that. i understand whee i understand n the lungs, that could be problematic. we've just got a few more seconds st got. yeah. and that's why we saw that, fors example, urgica surgical masks dq work for covid, but the high quality and ninety five mask-9 can work for this.e and also, if you have asthma,
10:28 pm
make sure you're always carryingasthma your inhaler witu in case you do have an asthma exacerbation. inha, thank you very much. >> thank you. do you believe that aliens are real? my next guest broke the stor yy on that intelligence whistleblower who says the federal government hass a secret stash of alien aircraft. steiglita z. >> hello, i'm mike lindell and i'm here to tell you about my brand new product, my slippers. what makes my slippers different from those other slippers is my exclusive four layer design. i wanted my slippers to have everything you'd ever want in a pair of slippers. >> when i first put my slippers on, i was like, wow, they feel great. and most importantly, they have the support that i need in a pair of slippers. >> i'm interrupting this commercial to let you know we're having the biggest

"the washington post" a couple of days ago just did this lengthy piecdays ago ae throwin everything but the kitchen sink with baseless accusationathes
10:35 pm
and lies and all of these things on kennedys so that they can plant that seed of doubt and concern in voters minds. and if that doesn't work, i they go into step number three, whic out ah is pull out all the and destroy. and for me, this is thiswent ou, is when hillary clinton went out and started saying that i was a traitor. ian a russian asset going againe the country that i lovers act and they repeat these baseless lies until votert tos actually start to believe them. and this is this is exactly what they're doing againstdoingv kennedy. i didn't have the hundreds of millions of dollars needed to combaco at this onslaught of a campaign that they waged. kennedy doesn't either. i want to see if there are any wealthy billionaires out there who love this country and want to see the democratic party seeliberated from these woke wr mongers. put your money where your valuerur values are. bobby kennedy could use some help to be able to go out thereo and share his message d with voters because the dnc is not going to allow him to d.

o well. i spoke with him a few days ago. he was on set with me, ago, set wity jr. and he. said he's not going away. knows tand he knows that the pt won't debate him. and he said ifactual the presidt were to actually end up to be the party's nominee again,t he won't be able to beat republicans because he doesn't have the reps at. i wa>>s you know, i mean, wow, i don't think he's going to go away quietly into the dark of that night. >> hhe's certainly not.s up you know very well, harris, it it he's upa against. it is the propaganda media, the dnc working with them, workinech and sog with big tech and social media so it cana lo be done, but it's going to take. a lot of resources in order for him to be able to do that. i lewell, look, before i let you go, i want to get breag newser presireakin this hour. the justice department has informed former d trumphe targepresident donalde is the target of a criminal investigation as part of his handling of classified n documents. what's your reaction to that breaking newews?s? we don't know much yet. i will just say there should
