served as congressman, you're a conservative guy. conservative republican. the same time, you are most famous for being donald trump's vice president. you are running more as the conservative republican, who is going to change things, rather than donald trump, even though you got a lot done as his running mate. ultimately, for people who do the picking, the voters, it is like, do i pick the guy who was president or the guy who was his vite president because the guy who was president is running against the vice president. >> well, it is a fair point. i think you make a great point. the thing i learned traveling the country, the last two years, i'm well known, i don't think i'm known well. i was proud to serve as vice president in the trump-pence administration. i am proud of the record of our

years. it was disgrace in the runup to the 2020 campaign that most of the major media and big tech literally suppressed the story about hunter biden's laptop. it would be more than a year later before everybody conceded it was the laptop and found out that the fbi had the laptop, as well. equal treatment under the law is at the center and heart of american justice and i commend members of congress demanding to know what the facts are, holding the biden family accountable, the american people have a right to know whether the president or his family have been compromised by foreign investment and foreign dollars, long era of collusion between big tech, big media and the democratic party on this issue has got to stop the american people deserve the facts. >> brian: chris christie was on earlier and had interviews and

family throat our career and we will carry ourselves forward. >> brian: you don't think trump should be indicted on this document case, i saw you said yesterday? >> look, no one is above the law, i hope not. i mean, we're all still reeling from the execution of a search warrant a year ago at the home of a former president. i was on the judiciary committee, i said, there had to be dozens of ways that could have been resolved without a search warrant at the president's residence. i want to say, i hope the doj thinks careful about the prospect of it is indictment of former president of the united states. it will divide our country and send a terrible message to the

>> brian: welcome back, everyone. growing number of governors and state legislators, promoting free speech and pushing back. there is reason to have hope. let's begin in tennessee. the governor put money into his coffers, announced civics institute at university of tennessee, saying there is no reason why institutions of higher learning can't be part of america at its best. governor desantis decided to take action about civics and talks about this all the time.

he has university of florida receiving 8 to 10 million to launch the hamilton center for civics and free speech and offer western political thought. unc chapel hill, known to be kind of liberal, getting concerned about not knowing the foundation of our country, they put money to start their center for public debate and conversation. to texas, border approved school of civic leadership at ut austin dedicated to teaching individual liberty. how about that, in austin, there might be pushback, in the state, almost none. in ohio, may of this year, just weeks ago, state legislature debating senate bill 117, civic center at ohio state university and bill 117 is one that would bring freedom and free thought and fundamentals to the

states whose legislature and governors are saying, our universities, which are publicly funded are so left wing they block free speech of other ideas. we have to start centers inside the schools. the whole school should be this way, free speech zone where you learn about civic life. that is why universities were founded. you get that foot hold and students are attracted to truth and discourse. the centers will become popular, the university will understand that and grow. it is only a start. >> brian: these are red states in blue cities, the place they are doing it is liberal, chapel hill has that reputation big time. we showed video of ping-pong and soccer, more than that in college life. looking at this in the big picture, you want parents to know you are picking a college, but really look into picking a
