tv The Ingraham Angle FOX News June 12, 2023 7:00pm-8:00pm PDT
7:00 pm
as always, thank you for tuning in and making the show possible. set your dvr and never miss an episode and let not your heart be troubled. the laura ingram with ingram anangle is next. see you tomorrow, bus eye news nighttime -- busy news night. >> laura: i'm laura ingram and the ingram angle from washington tonight and my angle in moments but first, they wanted today to be all about former president trump's miami arraignment. now, the coverage, it was kind of reminiscent of oj and the white bronco. >> i want to take you to the picpictures now and appears to e president trump entering that vehicle and former president trump in that suv. >> looking at the suv. wait and see what happens over the next minute or so. see if we can tell who's getting out. >> there's donald j. trump
7:01 pm
coming out of the car there, the suv going up the steps. >> laura: did you know that this was extremely historic. >> tomorrow, a remarkable moment in u.s. history will unfold: the first ever arrangement of a former president. >> never seen a former president sit in federal court at a defendant's table. >> soon he'll take off for florida and history. >> laura: a day not complete without passing judgment on their favorite target. >> our system is not based on organized crime rules and not you take out one of my guys and i'll take out one of yours. what we know about donald trump is his approach to business. his approach to politics and a personal relations and it is a constant pursuit of advantage, my guess and it's speculation is that he saw in this material
7:02 pm
information that might be useful to him at some point in the future >> laura: where's the disclaimer? you're listening to a liar when he comes on. >> a few hours ago senator chuck grassley said he completely up ended him in washington. >> he allegedly bribed joe and hunter biden and he has audio recordings of conversations with them. 17 audio recordings and phone calls between him and hunter biden. according to the 1023, foreign national possession of two audio recordings between him and vice president joe biden is these are capped as a sort of insurance policy for the foreign national in case he got into a tight spot. >> laura: okay, he hasn't
7:03 pm
heard the tapes himself and he's not a guy known to reach for hyperbole at the drop of a hat and these have to be taken very seriously. joining us is house judiciary chair jim jordan, house oversight committee byron donald and fox news contributor congressman donalds, start with us .y -- you. you've viewed the document and anything he said in those comments on the senate floor that doesn't kind of pan out from what you've seen? >> laura, good to be with you. everything that senator grassley said does pan out because the document does state that the barisma executive has receipts and says he has information but don't know what the information is and then the other piece that definitely pans out is that they move the money through several accounts that would take investigators ten years to find. that is the mo tis app ran die
7:04 pm
and looking like they move through all the l.l.c.,s, through all of these accounts and ends up in the hands of the family and by the way, i will add this, joe biden likes to say the rich need to pay their fair share. hey, joe, did you pay your taxes on that $5 million. i don't think you did. >> laura: molly, let's growth index to you on this. this is amazing and a case of incurious journalists who are covering trump's every movement again like it's, you know, 1994 and it's oj, you know, with kato kalen waiten in the wings somewhere. we have bank accounts and someone like grassley making these claims based on what he understands of this record. yet with the foreign national
7:05 pm
had 17 recording ands two involving the vice president with those and we've heard from that that senator grassley saying joe biden was involved in getting hunter biden on the brisma board and what he's focusing on is that the fbi didn't do a good job of receiving this information and investigating it and began to investigate it and meddling once again in a presidential election on behalf of preferred candidate and all trying to imprison their top political opponent. >> laura: yeah, congressman jordan, one of the other networks they're making a fanciful claim that you can't draw any equivalence between
7:06 pm
biden and trump's cases. watch this. >> we've been kind of living in this world throughout the course of any investigation with former president trump and what about the biden is that a fair&analog. >> i don't think we're talking about apples to apples comparison and it's not a fair analog in that case of stashing hundreds of doc documents of classified documents. >> three people with classified documented concerns and mishandled clinton and biden is president trump and only one gets indicted and how is that justice and equal application of the law and americans have common sense seeing this double dstandard and excepts for republicans and conservatives and getting past president trump and the irony that i remember with jim comey i said i hope there are tapes talking about him and i read this document too
7:07 pm
and the section byron was referencing about the foreign national who was an executive at barisma and tells the human source we don't need nothing to worry about because we have so many bank accounts it'll take forever to figure out and he also says we never paid the big guy directly. we learned about it in combined effect of 2020, this was put together in august of 2020 so now we got both sides of the equation using the same term, the big guy. and if the big guy is not joe biden, somebody needs to explain to me who it is. that's the part that's the most excelling evidence and connected to the president of the united states and this document in the end needs to be made public so the whole country gets to see if.
7:08 pm
>> laura: all has to be declassified and especially congressman, donald, because we're fight ago proxy war in ukraine right now going to two big geopolitical forces to the biden family. we're talking about documents in the bathroom and those aren't important but come on. money from foreign contractor. >> it's not a classified document. they made us review it in the skiff but that document is not classified. that's number one. number 20, i find it highly ironic that none ever sees the light of day with any members of the press but the second day get ago transcript getting an audio
7:09 pm
recording and leaked with leaking information in a criminal investigation was against the law. that's what i heard. the president and the president's family and shaking down foreign companies and foreign countries for a long time and don't tell me that joe biden is not compromised by the fact his family has gotten millions and millions of dollars through all the demi shell corporations that they set up in his last year and a half as vice president. they set it up on purpose for this exact thing. it's time that a special council is brought forward to investigate this the same way they have a zealous prosecution of president trump. >> laura: molly, to continue on and national security implications of a money trail through very shell corporations of accounts that make their way to biden family inc.
7:10 pm
is that not significant as it pans out and again we're talking about what's more important here and not saying classified documents of what's important. i think it is important but what's more important here for the future of america, the bathroom documents and what's happening with china with conspiracy the theories and rusa had against him. the foreign national past tapes of compromised and media didn't think there was anything here and representative donald not mentioning it was a classified document and kris christopher rd fbi is -- christopher wray and fbi and embarrassing they didn't investigate it and senator grassley made a point that this is the fbi leaking to the new york times classified information every day and
7:11 pm
unclassified document for the american people and you care about classified information and a lot of americans have been caring about classified information as everybody in the fbi leaking like a sieve to the washington post in the new york times and gin up controversies and they should be used against them or the people they were working with to undermine the countries. >> laura: in the intel agencies and when a republican going to use the power of the purse and say we're done? you hear some of the presidential candidates and ramaswamy and trump and desantis and they want to do something here and it's up to you all. >> sure .s we'll use aprop rations process and get past to the house and reauthorization is up this year and change with the fbi getting that program all together and we are taking place there and we have to do that.
7:12 pm
in the end, laurie remarks the only thing that's going to change is when we have somebody new in the white house who puts someone in charge of the justice department that will get rid of all that . we can do everything we can from the legislative branch and we'll do that and change fisa but in the end you need an executive saying we'll no longer have a justice department that targets we the people and the american citizen. that's all that will fix it. the press won't cover it and we have to do it that way and elections are important. >> laura: how about a one, two punch. panel, great to see you. president trump arraigned a little under 18 years from now and feds are suggesting there's trouble afoot. >> fbi and department of homeland security are keeping a close eye on posts that are being made on social media. >> see some sort of flimsy police tape behind me and a few officers on patrol and nothing for a historic hearing like that >> all the evidence of political radicalization of violence in play here.
7:13 pm
>> laura: how predictable and they're desperately wanting some type of right wing violence and no one should take the bait and do anything foolish and what will tomorrow look like. walk us through it and what to expect, former trump-appointed impeachment lawyer david shone. what do we expect? >> it's a proof of proceeding and there's a lot of hull baa loo around it because of the defendant and president trump will show and you happen be arraigned -- som show and you hn he'll be arraigned and has he gone over the indictment with his lawyer and would he like it read, he'll say no. he's gone over it and doesn't need it read. he'll plead not guilty and the government may move for a motion schedule or the court might on her own set a motion schedule and set conditions of release and he'll be released and things will slow down a little bit after that. i would imagine some motions to dismiss practice might be engaged immediately otherwise pretty much by the books.
7:14 pm
>> laura: they're desperate to try and get this trump appointed district court judge to recuse herself. i just laugh out loud when i hear this conversation and on msnbc congressman goldman said the doj should step in. >> yeah, the doj -- >> the judge it was assigned to is a judge who has demonstrated unusual and somewhat lawless bias towards donald trump in favor of him and the department of justice will have to evaluate whether or not that judge has an appearance that would bias and warrant her recusal. >> laura: david, how often do democrat-appointed judges recuse themselves and what grounds is there in this case? >> no grounds whatsoever and reckless case of goldman and the lawyer and he knows better and the public not to talk that way and she's appointed by president
7:15 pm
trump and absolutely no moment with the respect reigns leading accusal and picked by random selection and the government picked the palm beach defense with only a couple judges in it. she would get the case as a related case in any event and decision they're so critical of is a decision that a neutral arbitor is advancing here and msnbc and senator goldman and suggesting that the judge merchant in new york should be recused from that case and not randomly selected and hand picked on the trump organization case, abandoned case and trump criminal case and he tried to encourage the cooperation of the prosecution and make contributions reportedly to political candidates and outraged that anyone would suggest we be refuse with the
7:16 pm
history of new york and the officers of the court. >> laura: can't be going on saying this was idiotic for this recusal and it's disgusting. bill barr has been all over television. >> we have to take what he says and what proves to be true if half of it proves to be trusion he's toast. it's a very detailed indictment, and it's very, very damming. this idea of presenting trump as a victim here and victim of witch hunt is ridiculous and he's been a victim in the past and it's much different.
7:17 pm
>> laura: quickly, dave, your reaction. >> irresponsible for a former person with a stature and former attorney general of the united states to give lip service to the presumption of innocence and talks about the damming nature of the indictment and indictment is nothing more than indictment with a prosecutor has written up after something has been presented to the grand jury and the prosecutor decided to present the destructive trump indictment and equal application of the law and it's political attack. >> laura: i wouldn't need to hear he's toast. that's a bit glib to say the least. david, thank you so much. pentagon cull prep for all the re--- culprit for all the recruiting woes and the governors that don't want to allow gender mutilation, i wish i were kidding. my angle.

dealt with as such and stamped out. that includes laws duly passed by legislatures to stop the sexual exploitation and undocumented school children and this is from the space force. >> laura: lieutenant general believes u.s. readiness will somehow be improved. if parents including many vets are branded as haters. who do parents want commanding their sons and daughters in value? the man as hostile to values and beliefs as joe biden? >> we have some hysterical and i would argue prejudice people who are engaged in all going on
7:28 pm
around the country and these are all kids, these are our neighbors, it's cruel. >> laura: how will this work? do they not realize how much the military depends on the south and midwest for its fighting force? that was one of the last bastons of traditionalists and also making it so attractive to so many. most serve to defend the american way of life. they don't serve to host drag shows on military bases.
7:29 pm
don't consider this a big victory because the only reason those shows were canceled is because gop senators complained. and clearly top brass is spooked by all the activism. >> these accusations are grossly overrated. >> that constant drum beat you hear about a weak military, a woke military is a bit of a negative drip, drip, drip that is undermining our recruiting at a time where we really can't afford that. >> laura: so publicizing what they're actually doing with your tax dollars, that's the problem. not the woke obsession itself. and not certainly not implying that half the country is bigoted if they disagree with their new approach. sot time has come for republicans to move past
7:30 pm
nostalgia and start to have an honest conversation about what's happened to the u.s. military. what's happened now within the ranks of the military and it is leadership and what's going to happen to our mission and whether it's going to be compromised as a result and that's the angle. joining me now is victor davis hanson, senior fellow at hoover institution. victor, a lot of americans will have been shocked to have seen the video replayed in the angle just nablas they're becausey and doing other things and a lot happening in other people's lives. >> 40 to 45% of the branch for the military coming from the

they accuse you and we're not going to bring any evidence and better keep enlisting because we need you in places like fallujah and province and that's really messy and you people like to send you. it's not just the recruitment but not just this recruitment policy. we have a problem with the very top, laura and this revolving door where these generals who have race woke and the left gave them a pace and use a hard on with the top pentagon positions and four star billis and general dynamics, raytheon and lucrative board positions and lobby positions predicated on their woke prudentials and they're out. >> laura: the senate and u.s.

senate is really the problem and republicans in the senate refuse to take a really serious look at our pentagon budget and they'll never discuss that budget given what's happening and attack on rural america with the southerners, traditionalists and muslim americans and serious christians, catholics and they're attacking them with that message that we played that's in pieces. that's implicit. absolutely and any time you want to break up the monopolies and the conservatives and the spotlight and believe in a strong defense and the same fbi and going back for the republican basis for support in the extremists and need the money and at least the higher
