9:00 pm
>> good evening and welcome to america's latest news. i am trace calendar los angeles. the mayor of miami is officially running for president. francis suarez could change the face of politics for decades and his wife speaks to fox news in a moment in human body parts donated to harvard medical school have been stolen and shipped under a black-market scheme.
9:01 pm
we begin a los angeles with busloads of migrants arriving complements of texas governor greg abbott who is taking lar products sanctuary status. more on the migrants and the push to impeach the dhs secretary. so if this is the first time the governor texas to make it did not catch them offguard or intimidate them.families and small children offering much-needed relief of the texas border. to contrast the sources of the texas border say the average roughly 2000 illegal crossings a day governor abbott made the city an official sanctuary city but advocates feel that they
9:02 pm
were treated with dignity or respect saying they were on the bus reportedly for 23 hours reportedly without food or water. >> mr. abbott and others quickly forget history because not a city motivated by hate or fear and we will not be swayed. moved by petty politicians playing with human lives. republicans are getting closer to impeaching the man in charge for securing the border. they have launched an investigation into the performance of homeland security secretary mayorkas although we should mention trace it's a move that faces
9:03 pm
challenges even among republican leadership and other gop lawmakers. >> explained to be a process and sharing the burof the borde crisis governor abbott has clearly a lot of support in texas. look at this very >> i'm glad the mayor has been paying attention to the problem very maybe she can pick up the phone and call president biden to get them to enforce the law. this is something my state border communities have been putting up with for a long time this is a federal responsibility these are cities that advertise themselves as sanctuary cities but apparently they don't really mean it. soon enough let's bring in the reformed california chairman. carl my favorite headline of the day comes from the washington examiner. karen bass says that's abhorrent to send illegal immigrants to her sanctuary city. it's like saying it's cruel to
9:04 pm
send baseball fans to dodger stadium. they asked for this very >> i might want to agree. it's abhorrent to send people to la with a high crime and homelessness in failing schools. does anyone at home really think that governor greg abbott, after rhonda santos was accused of breaking the law and they're saying they want to indict him, that he wouldn't cross all the tees and.all the ey --they give welfare benefits to immigrants they give free legal defense funds as you discussed last night and if they don't get through the asylum process and they don't show abbott 90 percent no-show for their hearing. california is a sanctuary state. >> if you look at the word sanctuary its refuge in california is not, they don't have the place to offer these people a refuge break just like new york and chicago. they are virtually signaling.
9:05 pm
california will fail just like new york and chicago. summa california can't even care for citizens that are here already. they have a homeless problem and a crime problem in the schools are failing and they sit there and virtue signal and they're called out on their hypocrisy and that's what they don't like. >> senate bill 553 would make it illegal for store employees to confront shoplifters so if i have this right it's not illegal to shoplift but it's illegal to confront the shoplifters. >> we have reached a new low in california coddling criminals and not supporting crime victims you are telling the crime victims and again, this is a very common thing the smash and grabs shoplifting third small business owners are being traumatized and being repeatedly hit by the shoplifters and not confronting them, if you do you are going
9:06 pm
to be charged with a crime. the sponsor said he's only concerned about the safety of shop owners. if you're concerned about the safety of shop owners, but these people behind bars. change the laws. enforce the laws for goodness sakes. >> the california retailers association said the following. watch this. >> this is their livelihood, this is their blood sweat and tears and they were telling them, i am sorry, you have to open up your doors and let people come in and take whatever they want out of your store. you can't engage with them. >> we talk to these businesses all the time. they are baffled. these are mom-and-pop shops that are getting hit by the week and they can't stay in business. his destroying family about owned businesses. you are adding insult to int--insult to injury.
9:07 pm
these people that are putting people out of business, they are more important than your rights and if you dare confront them, you might be headed to jail. same with the republican presidential primary field continues to grow greater short time ago the mayor of miami tossed his hat in the ring for the senior national correspondent is in the nation's capital with more on what suarez brings to the race. >> miami mayor francis suarez the latest to jump into the 2024 presidential battle and he is marking the occasion with a special speech tonight at the ronald reagan presidential library in california. he was first elected in 2017. not that long ago. he is the son of a former mayor half year suarez. he has had a bit of a chilly relationship with the other two florida gop candidates rhonda santos and president trump. he told good morning america
9:08 pm
viewers that he has a different message than the other candidates. >> people want someone to bring them together they want to hear more about my track record and what i can do for them this isn't about me or my generation it's about our children. >> suarez fellow floridian ron desantis continues to joust with this california counterpart, gavin newsom saying this to him. >> i would tell him. stop floating around. [applause] are you going to throw your hat in the ring and challenged joe? are you going to get in and do it or sit on the sidelines and chirp? >> and admonition to stop chirping from the sidelines if he is not going to get into the race. as for the gop race given a list of 10 candidates seeking the nomination for the top spot, you guessed it, donald
9:09 pm
trump continues to lead by a big margin. 53 percent of republicans and republican leaning voters say they support president trump. a long list of other including mike pence and nikki haley all of them trace at about four percent. the numbers have hardly budged over the last couple of days which is interesting. >> let's bring in glorious war is the wife of the miami mayor and new republican presidential candidate francis suarez, gloria thank you for coming out. i want to put this headline passed you from the miami herald and it said quoting miami's ambitious mayor makes a big leap, but is being a president really suarez goal? he is young telegenic and a good fundraiser but his candidacy is a head scratcher. is he running for president or something else? suarez name isn't mentioned in
9:10 pm
any presidential polls. what is your response to that? is he in this to win this? systemic absolutely. thank you for having me today. he absolutely is and the reason for that is because he has an incredible vision. it's a different unique one from many of the candidates because he is a mayor and a mayor has a different perspective. they have a different vision and this is what he has decided to do. we decided as a family. we have discerned this for quite some time and over the last year looked at the options and this is what we have decided as a family so he is ready. >> it's interesting because he told the "washington post" the following. he said he is not just focused on winning, he wants to create a brand of politics that can win generational elections. missy striving for something else? it's a long shot candidacy.
9:11 pm
is he striving for something else to make a name for himself in this campaign? >> now he is not.like he says you read for something you are writing for first place. he is running for the presidency and again, brings incredible vision to this country, a country that needs healing and he is a uniter.he has stood up and fought on a local level. he brings a lot to the table. >> you know him better than most. you say he has vision and he is a uniter.what you believe your husband's biggest selling point is? >> let's start with youth. he is 45 years old. he has a record to show for it on a local level and what he has done a miami is unprecedented and he has brought a new light to the city and country and seen so much happened in florida and in miami thanks to his leadership
9:12 pm
and that is definitely to his advantage. he has been the leader that the city needed and hopefully on a national level he can begin to unify both sides of this country and that is what we are going to do. that is what he has decided to do and that is where we are headed. >> many believe, gloria that you are the glue that holds your family together and this campaign together. patty respond to those comments? >> i'm flattered.i am a wife and a mother of 2 and i think there is a lot of truth that this is a partnership and we make decisions as a units and as a family and i keep it normal. i keep the status quo even. we have a very normal life my husband makes incredible decisions and i support him that we discussed them but it does take a village to keep it
9:13 pm
together and i am flattered that i am put ahead of that amongst our team and within our family and so we do it as a good team together great >> best of luck to you and your husband and your family. thank you for coming on. >> thank you, trace. have a great day. >> is the field grows president biden shot down a question from the press about his alleged involvement in a bribery scheme as vice president. he called it a dumb question. more on the president's response. >> president biden has called claims he was engaged in a multibillion-dollar pay for policies scheme with a foreign national malarkey. he was more pointed when he was asked why an fbi document that alleges that bribery schemes supposedly refers to him as of the big guy. listen to this.
9:14 pm
>> allegations detail on fbi 1023 form claimant executive from the ukraine energy company paid joe biden and his son hunter to gain us oil rights. >> dating back to 2017 it said that the oligarch paid joe biden to bribe $5 million he call joe biden the big guy. >> their part the white house and biden have dismissed claims that include allegations from the iowa senator that the burisma executive who paid joe biden and hunter that these were kept for insurance policies but the fbi is not commenting that we could soon
9:15 pm
hear from hunter biden's former business associate devon archer. the new york post says he is in talks with who continues to probe the business dealings including the main records. sue mckay would like to see what he has to say. let's bring on the fox news contributor. steve, i want to play it one more time for the president kind of lashed out of the reporter. watch this and i will get your response. >> >> he calls it a dell question but it's actually a very relevant question. >> it's a very relevant question. because it goes to the heart of the integrity of him, the white house, the presidency is hilarious the way he is responding like this crotchety old man. trump had questions like that thrown at him when he was
9:16 pm
president like a dozen times a day and what it really shows actually is how a fawning the press have been over biden he is not used to being challenged on anything. they have treated him with kid gloves all of these years. finally there some spine there and they are getting some pressure and he can't take it. of course it's vital. these are allegations of bribery and a foreign company in bed with a foreign government it's outrageous and we know it's influence peddling to the whole family. that has been well documented. if there are tapes, joe biden making these deals, that's an unbelievable thing and the fbi needs to be investigating and pushing forward on the investigation >> you said fawning press and maybe they are easing up a little bit. i'm not sure.let's put this on the screen. this is media coverage of biden
9:17 pm
schedules versus biden's indictment.291 minutes for the former president and zero seconds not even worth a mention, steve? not even by the way. >> i had not seen that. that's absolutely astonishing. this is really serious corruption.the allegations here. really serious and the fact that they are not even covering it. i cannot believe that actually paid we know about how it's about pushing a narrative but these are the people, democracy dies in darkness and fighting the truth and justice. it is so one-sided. they are part of the democratic party at this point. student do you think at this point going forward they pull back on covering trump because they feel like they are helping him again? >> that seems to be the case but i don't think they ever learned their lesson.
9:18 pm
i was reading a columnist in the new york times raging about trump in this colorful language how totally despicable he is and how unthinkable it would be if he was ever president. every time they write things like that and talk like that about donald trump there actually reinforcing trump's support because however bad he may be you are even worse. >> it's amazing. steve. great to have you on. >> thank you trace. >> first up into nights real news roundup the day after failing to censure adam schiff over his documented dishonesty concerning president trump and russian collusion the effort to punish him has new life in the house as congresswoman says there is an agreement to flip the gop opponents of the original measure. >> we came to terms and negotiations in the language
9:19 pm
that will censure and refer him to an ethics investigation because of the fact that he knowingly used his position as the chairman of house intelligence to lives of the american people. spooky just so you know the new resolution could be introduced tomorrow. and texas congressman dan crenshaw laid into a yale school of medicine professor for her inability to sighted a medical study for benefits of transgender surgeries for children during a hearing. >> tell me a journal that has done systematic reviews that cites different evidence >> the standards of care were developed based on extensive great >> you are not telling me any journal or any study. don't say standard of care. tell me one. >> the standards of care. >> that is not a journal. that's not a study. that's not an organization or institution. you are just saying words. >> crenshaw has proposed
9:20 pm
withdraw funding from hospitals that provide surgeries puberty blockers or cross sex hormones to transgender minors and bill de blasio was hit with a historic find tonight for misusing taxpayer money for political purposes the city's conflict of interest board order de blasio to pay nearly $475,000 for bringing his security detail on trips during his failed presidential campaign. apparently the former mayor had nypd accompany him on 31 campaign tours outside the state. and coming up, california wants to rewrite the definition of infertility to include gay and lesbian couples and the state wants insurance companies to cover the cost of getting pregnant. the common sense department joins us live with their definition of infertility next. and later in the nightcap, have you ever had the sudden cringing feeling when you are around your friends, family,

and 22 and 25 whose lives, they're not ended by the gunshot, they are ruined because they're going to spend the rest of their lives in jail. and if you want to know why, there is a prolific sentinel drug trade happening all over this country. >> when this woman in sacramento got to her car a man waiting in the car next to it got out and wrestled his purse away his buddy sped off and knocked her down as you see. the suspects were later arrested. and a baltimore a man got into an argument with people outside of planned parenthood so he tackled one of the mill and another man tried to help he bought a slam the good samaritan and slugged and kicked him all he was on the ground. police are asking for help identify this man.
9:28 pm
>> harvard medical school is at the center of a major case involving the trafficking of human body parts in the schools former morgue manager is the prime suspect. we should warn you, the story contains graphic content. >> federal prosecutors say a network of people spanning multiple states bought and sold human body parts that were donated to harvard medical school for research great harvard's former morgue manager is accused of stealing human remains and driving them to his home in new hampshire where his wife, denise would sell them. katrina mclean of massachusetts is one of the accused buyers. her business, cats creepy creation sells creepy dolls and bone art at one time advertising real human vertebrae. she purchased 2 dissected faces for $600 and visited harvard medical school to select body parts she wanted. >> she went to the morgue to look at these great
9:29 pm
>> obviously this is very distressful. she wants to be home with her family. >> mclean shipped human skin to this man. jeremy of pennsylvania to turn the skin into leather. the group used paypal for transactions with labels like head number seven and brains. often shipping body parts through the u.s. postal service in violation of federal law. in a statement harvard university deans wrote we were appalled to learn something so disturbing could happen on our campus. the incidents are a betrayal of harvard medical school and most importantly, each of the individuals who all true strictly chose to weld their bodies to advance medical education and research. the us attorney's office is working to identify victims in contact as many families as possible. the maximum penalty under law for each defendant is 15 years in prison. >> thank you. >> fox news tonight, sense

department understands the california legislature is pushing a bill that would revise the definition of infertility. right now the definition is not getting pregnant despite having carefully timed unprotected sex for one year. but california would change that to include couples who could not reproduce because they have a same-sex partner that would allow the state to mandate insurance companies pay for gay and lesbian couples to get in vitro certifior surrogac. it would boost sky high insurance rates and likely push even more insurance companies out of california but supporters of the bill like the group, men having babies say it would be a step towards fertility equality in a step away from reproductive discrimination. they also believe the bill is ethical but common sense wonders bite nobody is talking about the ethics of creating
9:31 pm
these children like how they are conceived and who carries them. whose eggs? whose womb? the law can say whatever it wants but common sense points out same-sex couples having babies has nothing to do with fertility and everything to do with biology. let's bring in a board certified medical doctor and fox news contributor, it's great to have you in los angeles. i want to know what your thoughts are on the state redefining infertility. >> it is one thing, trace to provide ob care and it comes to it's another thing to try to rename the definition of infertility. it's an appropriate and immoral. infertility as you stated, one year unprotected sexual activity is unable to conceive for women for men if they have low testosterone, low sperm count or medication induced
9:32 pm
infertility it's a medical condition we have to look at it in that way and not try to change the meaning of it and what about heterosexual couples? are they going to be afforded the same type of coverage? what about a single person who wants to be a single parent? will they be afforded this type of coverage? it's expensive that cost thousands of dollars to have lab work and surrogacy. we need to take a better look at this. >> i want to move on to the harvard body parts. harvard said we are appalled to learn that something so disturbing could have happened on our campus. the incidents are a betrayal of harvard medical school and each individuals who all true strictly chose to weld their bodies to advance medical education and research. is there a black market that we don't know of? what are they doing with the body parts? >> it's sick and disturbing and
9:33 pm
heartbreaking. when i was in anatomy, i never thought this could happen but some people are doing it for financial gain, and some like it is a trophy or souvenir. sometimes they sell it to make leather to use it as artwork but for some people it's some deep psychological issues that need to be addressed and is unfortunate we are seeing this on social media. >> and maybe the most important thing so many headlines about rising cancer rates in young people. here are some of the factors. excess alcohol, smoking, obesity, abnormal sleep, bearing children at a late age the list goes on in your thoughts on why it is happening to so many young people? >> we do have early detection so we are doing a lot more screening and environmental factors of lifestyle changes
9:34 pm
obesity leads to inflammation that chronic inflammation damages your dna and damages cells and can result in cancer and other things like young men who smoke marijuana on a daily basis increase their risk of testicular cancer and colorectal cancer on the rise as well that could have to do with your gut being disrupted may be from antibiotics or smoking or excessive alcohol or too much red meat. that's why we have to see your doctor not just when you are sick but every year for your routine physical because we can catch things early and it usually means a better prognosis. >> best of luck we will see you later. thank you very >> remember when black lives matter spark nationwide protests? a new survey showed the movement has not helped minorities at all pretty former blm activist joins us coming up. but first, kayakers in california get a scare and dog

9:44 pm
it seems to me from the response of the dodgers it seems like the sisters of perpetual indulgence one this debate. >> it seems like that. it's one thing to bring in these lgbt q pride organizations to be inclusive but why bring in a group that is so insulting to all christians and catholics at anyone who fears god and sports are supposed to be america's pastime, especially baseball. all americans can put their differences aside and come together and enjoy life but is becoming tainted by this woke ideology and by this discussing this this organization wants to do. the dodgers should be ashamed of themselves to allow christianity to be insulted. >> many say sports is one of our greatest distractions enjoys and keep politics out of it. we have enough politics without putting it in sports and support for blm. i want to put this on the screen. so support for the blm movement. in june 20, 2067 percent april 2023 is 51 percent you were a
