mcgregor is denying the allegations. >> john: alicia is live in denver, and the accuser is now responding to the release of this video. what else can you tell us about this? >> john, the unidentified woman's attorney told tmz her client had no fewer than six drinks and did not recall who led her to the restroom until she saw the video. in the reported demand letters to mcgregor, the nba and the heat, security tracked her with the fighter. the video appears to show her guiding her through the crowd before a few men stand in front of the door. the woman's attorney saying "my client was under the belief they were leaving and going to the four seasons hotel as connor had previously asked him to join him in his hotel room. my client believed they were leaving, but instead connor took her into the restroom." mcgregor's attorney saying after

the video was released by tmz, the claimant's lawyer has changed her story. mr. mcgregor firmly believes it will show the claims against him are false. after not responding to the demand for money, she turned to the media to apply pressure. no more than a shakedown. alleged victim says he assaulted her inside a bathroom stall and a criminal complaint has been filed. the heat organization saying "we are aware of the allegations and are conducting a full investigation pending the outcome of the investigation we will withhold further comment." this alleged assault happened on the same night mcgregor accidentally knocked out the heat's mascot during a promotional skit. and mcgregor announced he and his fiancee' are expecting their fourth child. john. >> john: alicia, thank you.

>> jacqui: several government agencies falling victim to a global cyber attack, exploiting vulnerabilities in widely used software. president biden refusing to comment on the attack when pressed by fox news. lucas tomlinson is live at the white house. has the president been asked today about this cyber attack? >> not today, jacqui, after you asked that great question yesterday. the only time we have seen the president was at andrews on the way to connecticut, he was asked one question about his attorney general. he said he has not spoken to his attorney general. >> these are criminal actors all over the world. what's most concerning are the ones that appear to be and often are state backed, particularly russia and particularly china. what concerns me so much, you know, by the reporting, this appears to be russian -- russian hackers. >> those alleged russian hackers

used file transfer data to steal the data, including the energy department, and the energy department, maintains the u.s. military's nuclear warhead stockpile. they say they have notified the cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency, the head of that agency downplaying the attack saying it's nothing like the large solar winds attack a few years ago. >> it's a software that federal agencies and companies across the world use. we put out an advisory about this last week and we are responding to it. we are tracking it as a criminal many of these groups are in places like eastern europe. >> it's still not immediately clear the extent of the cyber attack on the u.s. government. the president will be speaking in connecticut later and then off to new york, perhaps we'll learn more about what happened, jacqui. >> jacqui: thanks, lucas. >> john: jacqui, now this. top democratic strategists and republicans who oppose former

president trump holding a meeting in order to stop a possible third party candidate from running in the 2024 election. the group seeing such a scenario was a threat to president biden's re-election bid and worrying it could hand the election to trump. juan williams, and david avella. this is the no labels organization. talk that they might try to recruit joe manchin for a third party candidate or if not that, maybe as part of that, too, a possible unity ticket which would include a republican and a democrat. but a group of democrats, including ron klain, recently got together with never trump republicans to say how do we stop this from happening, it's bound to hand the election to donald trump. juan, could that be the case? >> i think that could be. i think that's a legitimate concern for several reasons. historically everybody listening knows about what happened with ross perot in terms of taking

both, i think he got 20% of the vote, john. and in an election that bill clinton took from the incumbent at that time, president george h. w. bush. but just think back to the 2016 election, people like gary johnson, running on the libertarian party, he took votes from hillary clinton in michigan larger than the margin former president trump was able to hit clinton. i think democrats think wait a second, we were waiting for a match-up of biden versus trump and if you bring in somebody outside of that at a time when many voters are dissatisfied with both candidates, you know, it could actually derail one candidate and the idea, the reason you see the democrats complaining is they think those votes are coming from their pockets, from joe biden's lane. >> john: david, juan mentioned ross pe rot in 1992, got almost

20% of the vote, some people say he cost george bush the election, but bill clinton did win with 43% of the vote. no labels is saying you have a duopoly on the election. why can't we open it up to third, fourth, fifth party candidates. maybe you don't want to be italy but should it always be republicans against democrats? >> republicans need not be part of nor complacent, support whether joe manchin or cornell west, two who are big threats to biden's re-elect. and ralph nader and his helping to prevent al gore from winning in 2000, and pulling democrats away from gore.

it is the democrats who know these third party candidates are a threat to them, and it would be shameful if republicans participated in them to keep other party from getting on the ballot. >> john: david mentioned cornell west. he was on with our laura ingram, what he said about the two party system and why things need to change. >> the two-party system stands in the way for the empowerment of precious poor people and precious working people and i am fundamentally committed through the plight of the least of these, and we need a paradigm shift in politics, ideological realignment of the landscape. >> john: david also mentioned the 2000 campaign. ralph nader got almost 3% of the vote, which if it had gone to al gore would have propelled him into the presidency. are democrats the ones who are really afraid of a third party candidacy here, juan? >> yeah. >> absolutely.

finances. today marks the deadline for burisma board member to appear for a transcribed interview by instead the deposition is now being negotiated for a later date. bring in byron york, washington examiner chief political correspondent and fox news contributor. your outlet has reported on the details of this delay, i understand it's not a violation of the subpoena because they are working another date, right? >> yes, it appears to be that they believe devon archer will be cooperating with them but it's not going to be today. you know, this is interesting. the chairman, james comer, has said over and over and over that we know hunter biden was engaged in all sorts of fishy business. this investigation is about joe biden, and about whether he was involved in a lot of his son's dealings, or benefitted from his son's dealings. devon archer would be the most

valuable witness, biggest step so far in this investigation. so it's no surprise that they're working very hard to try to get him to cooperate. >> jacqui: do we have any reason to believe there are incentives for him to, you know, dish up details we have not heard before. what kind of questions are they going to put to devon archer? >> well, if you look at white house visitor logs, whenever somebody from burisma, a board member -- and devon archer was a board member of burisma like hunter biden was, they went on at the same time. archer visited the white house a lot. he was in contact with hunter biden all the time. he was in contact with the people at burisma. if there's something going on there and if joe biden is either an active part or a beneficiary of this, devon archer should probably know about it.

so i think when -- the first part of your question, do we know about any incentive, does he have an incentive. that's not entirely clear right now. but what does seem to be clear is that he was supposed to testify today, that's not going to happen, but we don't have republicans threatening to throw the book at him. we have republicans saying you know, we are making progress. so i think they are working very hard to try to get him up there voluntarily to talk about what he knows about burisma, hunter and especially joe biden. >> jacqui: sound from chairman comer on the latest from his investigation and have you react. >> we tracked down the morn in romania, less than two weeks after joe biden left romania and air force two, his family started getting wires through shell companies laundered back down to bidens, less than two weeks after he left romania for four nights. everything we found in romania

is consistent with the fbi 1023 form alleges what biden had. >> jacqui: they say the 1023 form has been looked at with respect to joe biden and he has nothing to do with that, when they have maintained from the white house, and the one thing in question i guess is whether he truly has never spoken to his son about his overseas business deals. anything specifically that you have seen that would draw that into question? >> well, we have a total conflict here, and that is the biden administration or hunter biden's defenders say that the fbi looked into the contents of this 1023 report and found there's nothing to it. and we have republicans saying no, the fbi didn't look into it, they never really spent any time on it, and these are serious allegations that need to be investigated. i'm not sure exactly what the

aprehend a suspected ms-13 member, in a truck. >> more on that in a second, the number of migrants turning themselves over to border patrol is down. but the number of smuggling attempts are up, according to boots on the ground. texas dps recently captured a confirmed ms-13 gang member who was tucked away in a grain hauler on a train near eagle pass bound for the country's interior, he was on a watch list, different from the global terror watch list. the honduran national had also been deported from the u.s. before. in el paso, dps and federal agents discovered two fake fedex trucks traveling with a third

much money as i thought. >> hard to manage. >> it's getting out of hand. >> we have to go back to what america used to be. >> john: americans from all walks of life struggling to make ends meet and many are pulling from their retirement funds to pay for everyday expenses or cover an emergency. the average balance in 401(k) accounts has fallen more than 20%, and starting this fall, 40 million americans will have to resume making student loan payments, charles payne is the host of making money on fox business, he's here with some tips on what folks can do to weather the storm. in terms, charles, of student loan payments, begin back up on september 1st, the average payment, is 200 to 299 a movement the average student loan debt is almost $30,000 and the average salary by people paying back the loans is 52 to

$62,000, it's going to put a financial burden on the folks who have gotten a bit of a break here. what do they need to keep in mind as september 1st approaches? >> at their age, late 20s and early 30s, they are on a path of ultimately being the highest paid americans. while they are making 60,000 at 29, more than likely because of the career trajectory they are on, they'll be making 3 to 4 times more than a high school graduate. with that in mind, many of them blew that money. there's a reason the gdp is through the roof and why people are going to cabo every weekend and it's human nature. it's a fact. and since we have had this moratorium, folks that have student loans have 2500 more student loans and another 2500 more in things like credit card debt. you have to buckle down. it's a matter of real sacrifice with respect to those with these

student loans. they have lived the lifestyle over the last year absolutely wonderful, some call it fear of missing out, and yolo, you only live once, you lived it, you had it. as far as going further and deeper you began with the retirement funds, that's an interesting thing because last year was unique. not only was the stock market down, but the bond market was down and most people put together a retirement package beyond savings or 401(k), known as a 60/40, and it does work. it has worked. last year it failed miserably, one of the worse years ever. first thing is, you got to get back on the horse. yeah, years things don't work out and miserable, tough, but when you take all of your money out, when you start to second guess yourself, you get so far behind you can't catch up. >> john: and just a word of caution on the yolo idea, if you

yolo at the age of 29, you probably still have 60 years of life left and you've got to live for a long time. might only live once but for a while. borrowing costs at the same time are way up for everybody. average loan surging, 30-year fixed mortgage up, new car loans up 2.1%, so many things vying for a pool of dollars that seems to be constantly shrinking. >> and the irony, too, especially when it comes to mortgages, the reason home prices go up, if you bought a house over the last ten years the mortgage rate is so low it's nuts to sell it and the next house you have to pay 7%. no one wants to do that, so no supply out there. new houses cost even more and for would be first time home buyers, high home prices and 7%.

that's out. credit card i did not see it on there. the 21%, store cards approaching 30%. back to sort of sense of discipline and sacrifice, and yeah, people are getting it from all over, a large swath of people buying cars right now. think about 20, 25% buy a car this week will have a car payment of $1,000 a month. this is nuts. this is absolutely crazy. so, we have to ratchet it down. here is what i want people to do, though. particularly as you get older. take advantage of the catch-up scenarios out there. there's a lot of them out there, once you get over 50. also health savings account, make sure the health savings account has cash in it. it will help you a lot. and i would love to see congress, you know, allow more options for folks in these 401(k) plans. now there were a lot of schemes out there, senator scott had one, allow the fiduciary to

there. that's a concern i've got. the administration, almost responding to events by event, instead of having a very, very deep plan on how to confront the chinese going forward. look, here is what i would tell them if i was sitting in their chair. you've got to go back to 1950 with what was called the national security council memorandum 68, and that laid out how to approach the soviet government and lasted through 20 years, democrat and republican, and policies and plans to confront the soviet union. we should be doing the same thing with the chinese, russians, iran and any other potential adversary, so we just respond event to event. he's going to go in there, secretary blinken, with hat in hand. they have not even said who he's going to meet with, and i'm not too sure, you know, his
