morning. thousands of christians and pro-life family groups are gathered last night to protest pride night at dodgers stadium. pete: as follows weeks of controversy over anti-catholic drag group and the teams back and forth whether to include them. will: actually has the details. >> reporter: 2000 protesters blocked the gates of dodgers stadium over controversial pride night which has won national attention over a drag group that is heavily criticized for their anti-catholic messaging and backlash last month led to the dodgers uninviting them from pride night but the drag group's supporters pushed them to reverse the decision and they did. and gave them a community aboard an hour before the first pitch, long before most fans got to the stands. there was a strong police presence in the stadium and

outside the stadium. demonstrators expressed feelings of hurt and disappointment over the team's choice to support drag queen queens over christian families. >> no idea why the dodgers would do this. they have seen the outcry. they even apologized to the drag organization but no apologies to the catholics or christians. that's very telling. rachel: clayton kershaw spoke against the decision to honor the drag group urging the team to bring back christian faith and family, which is been defunct ever since the covid pandemic but faith-based organizations said the planned faith and family day is a band-aid for the team that is not balance far support of the anti-catholic drag. rachel: it is not just an

attack on the catholic church and mockery of sisters but might -- people might have let it go in the past but what you haven't seen on the video is they do a reenactment of the crucifixion and treat it as if it is a paul dance. these things are deeply offensive and blasphemous to any christian and anybody of faith. who wants their most sacred symbol, the crucifix in the case of christianity desecrated in this way and the people doing it elevated as some sort of hero. rachel: you don't see protests like that outside baseball games. this is america's past time where you go to forget all the other stuff. you saw bud light, you see target taking get to the bottom line but this is one team in major league baseball, actual impact, will fans of the team stay away? will they make different

choices? or we are offended by what you are doing and we are going to show by not showing up, by protesting. rachel: the stadium was mostly empty but it was also an hour before the game started. even so, once the game started attendance was down. here is the thing, we keep wondering how many protests can gain traction in the economy and society at large. i am a little pessimistic on that. you can make your voice heard and it has been heard not just by bud light but other corporations but the problem is this is societywide. this isn't an issue of one corporation that has gone too far because we haven't been honest what this movement has become, this lb gt qi a plus and pride month, not a movement of civil rights, not simply a movement of tolerance.

of conduct and said you cannot wear anything or say anything that goes against anybody's age, gender, creed, religion. it that point, this is going against the code of conduct, it is blatant anti-catholic message they are sending regardless how much, quote, good they've been doing in their community. when i saw how offensive it was, doing awful things to the cross, it became a point where the negatives shouldn't be honored and shouldn't mark a certain group. even with two eyes, they are marking the religious habits of what we hold most deeply, our core convictions they are blatantly marking.

rachel: is the crisis at the southern border continues, we are turning to social media to advertise human smuggling activities with videos showing them trafficking migrants over the border. and hiding them in stash houses. the department of homeland security estimates the illicit business of smuggling illegal migrants into the us is worth a whopping $13 billion up from 800 million five years ago. reportedly charging migrants as much as $10,000 per trip. or to react is tim ballard, founder of operation underground railroad. an organization dedicated to fighting child trafficking. so great to have you on this morning. we are seeing they are making slick tiktok videos. some have been taken down. what does this tell you about

the sophistication and the money being made by these cartels and human traffickers? >> these traffickers are turning into what looks like migrant tourism but it is anything but that. they are learning these people, tricking these people, often times as children they are taking or kidnapping, using them to make it look like a family coming across or they just take the kids and use them to traffic them but all this is thanks to the policies on the southern border. we don't enforce and so that becomes an incentive for traffickers, sex traffickers to abuse people, the only compassionate policy here would be enforcement to deter the abuse of migrants. rachel: human smugglers are

former intelligence officer, we conducted dozens of wargames simulating us/russia conflict. once the first tactical, even if it is tactical nuke, gets dropped on the battlefield everybody is going to overreact because all the states that own nuclear weapons have missile warning systems tracking that staff. and it spins out of control. every war game has shown that. we need to pay attention. president biden needs to sit down and negotiate. what happened two years ago? he handed to put in a list of 16 critical infrastructure targets, you can't make this up, this is such a foolish move, the russians developed a strategic operation to defeat critical infrastructure targeting the us homeland because they believe if they can't use nukes they can you cyber against the us to concert nonnuclear without nuclear.

>> the biggest thing is just getting the kids to understand they can actually do stuff. they've been asked to do things they have no idea how to do, what to do but just getting them to open their minds up and start working on stuff and as we work through the projects, work through the process, that is when the learning really starts to happen. they will be out there in the real world shortly, they need to know what it is like on-the-job, in our shops it is real world. they are treated as such. perfection is expected, they've got to do the job. pete: 2 you feel you're getting prepared for a career here? >> i'm getting prepared for a career. get it done on time, get it done right. walk you through it if you need
