bringing you into fox & friends in this 8:00 hour on the east coast. it's father's day let's take a look at a couple of pictures. how about this it's rain each with her parents right there. rachel: that's my mom and dad by the way at my house right now and that's -- pete: is that you? rachel: no that's me on the left pete: that's a compliment to you rachel: thank you i took my parents to the white house when sean was in congress. it was a special day for all of us. pete: happy path father's day. rachel: here is my dad as a kid so if you see the front row. pete: which one? rachel: on the front row with the glove on the front, i'm looking at the screen so this way right here. see him? pete: you're pointing. rachel: with the striped shirt. pete: so he's second from the left. rachel: yup. pete: on the "bomb. rachel: my dad first generation mexican american. this is like the mexican bad news bears really, right? and so it's a great photo one of
5:02 am
my favorite ones framed in my house and my dad loves baseball, elvis, so and then of course happy father's day to sean. pete: happy father's day, sean. rachel: dad of nine doing his part. pete: no doubt. pete: and here is pete and his wife. pete: that is my dad, brian. rachel: i was reading the prompt er. pete: that's okay that was my dad a couple years ago. we do a fourth of july game as a family and he as teamed up with my wife, son, and they were team red. he's a wonderful father. i'll give him a call after the show today. grateful to him and we're going to do a little bit about this later on the show at our family meeting on friday. some look more awake than others , but just trying to do our best. will: tank tops for the meeting
5:03 am
all right fetterman. pete: do you know what it said? i won't tell you. rachel: now i want to know. will: there is me and my wife kathleen and two boys charlie and west and you mentioned it that's mount rushmore. i'm bad about sending in photos. they texted us this morning and i forgot. pete: i know that. we know that about you. that's why they have within ready to go. rachel: yeah. will: i didn't send one to my dad. my dad died in 2001 so you know, but incredibly influential on my life, and just even when your dad is gone, i mean, you're always living up to a vision of who you hoped you be and that kind of thing so anyway. rachel: your family in front of mount rushmore. will: yeah. rachel: great family trip sounds like it. will: it was awesome. you know that story, it was right before i joined. rachel: oh, was it i didn't know that. will: yeah, we did mount rushmore, yellowstone, zion, grand canyon, we did amazing
5:04 am
part of america. rachel: it's the all-american road trip. pete: before he lost his life and every weekend here with us. rachel: hold on to rushmore. pete: by the way i like the beard. you should bring that beard back that's like a marlboro man. you know? i feel weird saying that. rachel: he is the yellowstone guy of fox news. will: we move from that to 2024 ron desantis is on the campaign trail. joe biden was on the campaign trail beginning yesterday. ron desantis as well playing bartender for veterans in nevada where he was cracking joke saying he's not serving bud light to anyone. listen for yourself.
5:05 am
>> [inaudible] pete: this is certainly part of the strategy of the desantis campaign at this point, try to make him see more likable, more relat able. if you're them it's smart to put him in a vfw. he's a vet himself, so we'll see if it works and a good joke for that audience. i don't know. rachel: yeah. will: it's good. rachel: wisconsin had their gop convention and as they always do a straw poll and here is the results of that. 52.6% for trump, 34% for desantis. we're seeing kinds of numbers really across the country and pretty emblematic interesting though just as someone who lived in wisconsin. wisconsin was the home of the never-trumpers. that's where it originally started. most of the when donald trump ran the first time, most of those elected officials, you know, scott walker, a lot of them, were in the camp of ted cruz but this is a really interesting full showing that even with, you know, a lot of
5:06 am
hype, there's donald trump holding tight. pete: this is the party leadership. if you're at a convention and hard core republican there. that's a big lead, here is why this number really matters is because in 2022 a year ago, this very same straw poll in wisconsin, ransomware did was at 38% and trump was at 32%. a year ago -- rachel: great. pete: desantis was ahead by six, now a year later all of this indictment all of this time , trump's running away with it among amongst the base in wisconsin which is a very important state. rachel: absolutely. pete: so pretty good insight into the strength of the trump campaign right now. rachel: the strength of the campaign but also as i think more and more conservatives take it personally, how much the left has been weaponizing government and the intelligence agencies and law enforcement, the doj against him. i think that it's backfiring. pete: no doubt.
5:07 am
will: we had an interesting conversation earlier about a private policy. the ceo of public square in response to so many companies across america offering to include abortion coverage in their health insurance plans. public square offering the opposite. offering a $5,000 bonus to any employee that either adopts or has a baby. here is what he had to say earlier. >> we think that ultimately a company is only as strong as the families that built it and then for us, we're a pro- family company. we're unashamed about that and actually the largest marketplace in the country of pro-family businesses so we thought what better way to express this value that's core to our beliefs than actually putting some money behind it, putting our money where our mouth is and while companies like amazon, airbnb, target, patagonia, are offering up to $4,500 to play for their employees abortion we wanted this thing in opposite tune and say let's actually put $5,000 behind any of our employees that
5:08 am
were to have a baby, their spouses to have a baby or they were to adopt. just in the last month we've had three pregnancies announced so it's happening. people are excited about it. will: do you issue the bonus upon pregnancy or upon birth? on finalization of the adoption? >> upon birth. will: he said upon birth, but the beginning of the process of adoption. rachel: because the process of adoption can be pretty pricey. it's so fascinating because so many of the companies that you see up there, starbucks, amazon, doordash, airbnb, walt disney, a lot of these companies are companies that like to virtue signal that they are pro-woman, and yet, when a woman gets pregnant or wants to adopt, they aren't doing anything to support. in fact if a woman gets pregnant what they want to do is give you , you know, money for an abortion. it is interesting, because having a baby when you're working for a company like this , it can be a burden on the company in terms of maternity leave and our guest michael pointed that out.
5:09 am
he said yeah, they don't want to deal with the costs and the time away from the company. they just want you to work. pete: stay in the office. rachel: stay in the office and he's given a bonus i think it's fantastic. pete: that's what i love about public square. it's a new app and it's free. i just logged into my account and you look here on manhattan. the amount of businesses that just even here in what be considered a very left wing obviously manhattan tons of businesses, public square vets, the companies are they pro- freedom or pro-family and apply to do it and you as a customer can walk around and say where do i want to have dinner? rachel: i love it. public square. a lot of the gop candidates that we saw on the screen earlier including donald trump who said it as well, they are putting on their platforms they want to have baby bonuses as part of their platforms moving forward. a reaction to some of the pro- abortion policies on the left.

pete: well the l.a. dodgers didn't dodge back last friday after honoring anti-catholic drag nuns during a pride night event. rachel: the stadium was empty while the crowds of protesters stood outside holding signs and praying. will: here to react is three lodge anthropology fox news contribute on jonathan morris. >> i love what you guys are doing with this story. it's very easy to just have outrage tv and say this is terrible. it's terrible. there should be outrage, but let's take a look at how we got here. how did we get here? this is let's start off by saying this is not a story about the gay community against the straight community. not even left versus the right. this is about irresponsible leadership by the dodgers.
5:23 am
why? because what they've done is honored a group that is not just of one opinion that could be acceptable depending on what your thought process is. no. they are honoring a group that is being disrespectful and hateful to an entire population of believing people, including going after nuns who had throughout our history of course with mistakes but who have taken care of the most suffering group , the people who have educated our kids for centuries, and who are now being mocked and saying we are going to make a political point by dressing up as you and doing something you would never do yourselves. terrible. rachel: why would the leadership do that, jonathan? >> it's a great question. i think they are just weak. they have been pushed obviously by somebody and so they change their opinion. they said we're not going to
5:24 am
honor them anymore. they got pushed harder and said okay, we are going to honor them and then they did another thing and they had this , which i think shohei ohtani fence ever to even more people, they decided to have this celebration and ceremony basically in the quiet of the night. it was an hour before the game started. it lasted about 30 seconds. why were they so weak? they need to ask themselves that and i'm glad we're not just having outrage but really getting to the root of the problem. it's lack of leadership and it's a lack of leadership to stand up against not just one opinion but rather real hate. pete: and lack of focus, why don't you just stick to baseball that's what we're all here for. got to get to the next story because you'll have a great take so a world economic forum contributor says that a.i. could rewrite the bible to create correct religions. here is a portion of what he said. >> in a few years, there might be religions that are actually

connect, that just think about a religion whose holy book is written by an a.i. that could be a reality in a few years. pete: jonathan? rachel: the world economic forum bible. it sounds like a great idea. >> except that it wouldn't be the bible. it wouldn't be a holy book. so i am 100% in favor of a.i. i'm 100% in five off or -- rachel: you are? >> absolutely let me tell you why. a.i. is another piece of technology like the internet. is there bad stuff on the internet? absolutely. are we blessed and served by the internet? yes. a.i., however, if it's going to rewrite the bible let's be honest. it's no longer the bible. i'm in favor of somebody being able to do that. write your own book. call it whatever you want. the problem here, the danger of a.i. and rachel, it sounds like you're concerned about it as you should -- rachel: i don't like trans humanism. >> the problem is it is misinformation to the extreme.
5:26 am

will: a landmark lawsuit fighting to hold hospitals accountable for gender reassign ment surgeries an 18-year-old woman suing medical giant kaiser hospital centers for giving her puberty blockers, testosterone and a double mastectomy at just 13 years old so was this medical malpractice, dr. marc siegel is here to react. i can't wait to hear your opinion. i should just age she alleged she was coerced and persuaded by the doctors to go down this path that resulted in the surgical removal of her breasts.
5:32 am
is this medical malpractice? >> well, will, let me tell you this. if there was no informed consent or proper informed consent the way she's alleging, that be grounds for medical malpractice. not to mention the fact that she's also saying that she didn't get any mental health support and we know from a study from australia from last year that people that have gender dysphoria are three to four times more likely to have anxiety or depression as children, so where was the mental health support? you know, several, many will decide that they are going through a transition and then de transition back in their minds as they are evolving so where was that? it's occurring from outside and the most disturbing thing of all and again i'm not a lawyer, but the most disturbing thing of all medically be pressure from physicians. in a minor, we're not talking about a fully grown adult. we're talking about a minor. what you should do in that situation in addition to the
5:33 am
mental health is warn about the risks here. of course mastectomy irreversible, puberty blockers have long term risks. will: the thing about it is dr. siegel is we don't presume as a society the informed consent is possible for a minor, because they are so easily manipulated. you have to have an adult to get a tatoo. you can't consent to a consensual sexual relationship with someone over that age. why would we presume a 13-year-old has any ability to create inform consent to have a healthy body part removed. the medical profession is the one here committing malpractice and honestly, dr. siegel, i can't wait to see what is the judgment of a jury of peers. i can't wait. the medical profession can be captured. can 12 people, i don't remember what state this is in, can 12 people in minnesota? >> i want to talk to this because i actually think you're right. my personal opinion is and we have to add that western europe and just the united kingdom just added themselves to this is not
5:34 am
allowing this transitioning at such a young age. that's the key. they aren't allowing puberty blockers in the united kingdom. president biden was sitting next to the prime minister of the uk touting this at the time when the uk and the national health service is saying no and that's a very very liberal body so there's a lot of precedent for not doing this and i agree with you that you cannot really get informed consent from a 13-year-old on something as incredibly life changing as this. i don't really think that surgeons should be doing this procedure at all on a minor at all, but on top of that, it doesn't sound like they explained it well and they didn't explain alternatives well , from what we're hearing and there was no mental health support either. will: right. dr. doc siegel want to get your thoughts on this and i understand that you, you know, you can't diagnose someone over a television set without them being your patient but i want you to take a look at one of our public officials this is senator john fetterman at a senate hear

rachel: we're coming into summertime so what's the best way to keep the family together in the summer months? well -- pete: so rachel and i are going to show you family mission statements that we put together to keep everyone on track. here is the context of this story. rachel: yeah. pete: and it is kind of wrong that wills been replaced on father's day but it's not a replacement. this is not off the wall just a family segment. we went over to your house. rachel: yup you came over for dinner. pete: outside your kitchen there's a framed piece of paper and i took a picture of it. it's the duffy family mission statement and it's as parents as we, you know, kids are getting older how do you orient them in the right direction and it was a beautiful way for your family to declare who you are and what you represent and what's expected of your kids. rachel: will was taking pictures and he sent it back to his wife. it's a way to be intentional about what are we as a family, who are we so we have what pete calls my preamble.
5:41 am
this is very constitutional in the eyes of pete. our family exists to love and serve god and each other and we believe each member of our family was especially chosen to be here and we promise to treat each other and ourselves as gifts from god to this family everyday we will strive to and here is the number one, practice our catholic faith and traditions. two express our love for each other in words, deeds and affection. three, spend quality and quantity time together in prayer , play and family meals, have honest and good and open communication. we promise to forgive each other often. pete: i love this one the one you need in any family. rachel: any family, marriage, everything. we'll do, now this is my part. we'll do our part to create maintain and this is my addition pete: we share the love of a clean home. rachel: laugh often especially at ourselves encourage and support eachothers talents and dreams. we're all different. put my family relationships ahead of distractions like
5:42 am
social media, mobile devices. that is a really tough one for parents and kids to do these days, and another one we were having, we still are having problems with teasing. pete: who doesn't have problems with teasing. at least the kids know what the baseline is and what the expectation is. so the hegseths just straight up copy the duffys. rachel: not exactly. pete: we put our own spin on it as well. listen there's so many things in this world that kids and families can chase whether it's sports, whether it's status. i don't want our family to be focused on those things and the kids to know who they are so we start with we are christians, jesus christ is our lord and sav iour. ruler of heaven and earth. we are saved only by his grace. i recently come about in the book of james about the perfect law of liberty where the law sets you free and all of the things that enslave us are sinful in my own world. by the way all of this is done by two people who don't profess to be experts as parents or perfect people at all, but if we can set our kids on the right
