for crack cocaine distribution, possession distribution and use. and 100 times the length of a sentence for powder cocaine. and then he just recently signed a bill that if you are a user in possession of a firearm, you are no longer facing up to 10 years but 15 years. so he is willing to be real tough, take off the kid gloves, when it comes to these types of crimes, unless it's his kid. all of us, all of our, you know, kids or anybody else, any joe american citizen out there, would be facing outrageous sentences. and i'm talking decades in federal prison. not only is this a sweetheart deal, they had to manipulate and do legal and factual gymnastics to actually achieve it. they violated their own internal policies on every single count. >> jesse: what do those internal policies say? i mean, i can't imagine you would cheat the government out of taxes for two years and wave around a hot gun in front of drugs and just walk.
4:09 pm
>> john ashcroft issued a memo and eric holder issued a memo as attorneys general. they indicated that you have to charge the highest, most reasonable, provable offense for the evidence you have. not one of these is the highest provable offense. the tax charges are misdemeanors that are rarely, if ever, brought when involving millions of dollars. i have never seen a diversifdiversion ona gun charg. the reason is, jesse, the doj has a policy that they will not divert. and that means they will get rid of the felony if you will behave they don't divert in gun crimes because they specifically exempted it. you have to have special permission so all of this was manipulation and let's say they ignored the laptop, we already know that they didn't follow any of the transactions involving the money. they are not doing what's called

laughed at when they approached doj and asked for a diversification or asked for a misdemeanor. it just doesn't happen. can you imagine walking in to some gang member's house that you know is using drugs and they have crack cocaine and they have guns around. there is escorts who might be under aged and you have millions of dollars? you don't think they don't seize all of that and throw the book at them? they do it with everybody in this country except for someone named biden. >> jesse: you are exactly right. brett tolman thank you for coming this with us for about two years. >> unbelievably. >> jesse: let's bring in wisconsin senator ron johnson he has been investigating hunter biden as well. we know this is a cover-up. they didn't introduce the laptop to hunter biden's attorney. he said that on msnbc. what are you going to do about it? will, jesse, first of all, this stinks to high heaven.

certainly moves we do not have equal application of justin under the law and what i have always been concerned about by the way they would enter into some kind of plea deal to lesser charges and my concern further is that they will seal all the records. what a great way to sweep chuck grassley's whistleblower talking about a $10 million bribery scheme under the rug oh yeah we looked into it, there was nothing to it. what we need to do to it we need to continue to press for congressional oversight. unfortunately senator grassley and i don't have chairmanships we don't have subpoena power. i think james comer is doing a great job and so is jim jordan. we need to keep making the case and start pointing out all the corruption of the biden family. there is so much that should have been investigated here. talk about the paid escorts. hunter biden paid tens of thousands of dollars to woman trafficked through an international sex trafficking ring and president joe biden is still proud of his son? what about his involvement in the tribal bond fraud scheme
4:13 pm
that his business partner is now standing convicted of and those conspirators said we ought to put a little honey in hunter's pocket. i could go on and on. there is so much that should have been investigated we have whistleblower that said attorney weiss didn't have the resources to do a proper investigation. and, the whistleblower from the irs saying he was pulled off the case in unprecedented fashion with the rest of his team. there is so much here that is just disgusting. >> jesse: so hunter's lawyer says this case is closed we see something out of the delaware prosecutor's office that says this could still be an ongoing investigation. which one is it? >> that concerns me as well because our investigation was frustrated because john durham had an active investigation. this is what the fbi, the department of justice does all the time to frustrate congressional oversight. if they don't want to turf something over, they just say oh, we are investigating that. like the fraudulent the corrupt investigation of the trump

collusion hoax. i subpoenaed christopher wray's records we couldn't get any of them because there's an active investigation that stinks also to high heaven. they also say investigation. obstruction move to obstruct oversight. >> jesse: looking at james comer who looked at additional 1023s, these informant documents into the fbi has been cleaning from congressional oversight. he said this is thing is just redacted to high heaven. is that your experience? they just throw a black sharpy over these documents? >> he got hundreds of pages completely blacked out. again i'm sure james comer is going to go aggressively after this. he won't be able to do much if the department of justice with hollywood things. let's face it. they redacted a key part of the 1023. senator grassley saw it but still redacted the fact that there might be 17 recordings of the bidens being bribed.
4:15 pm
why would they do that? other than the answer would be corruption. >> you know the attorney general in the nixon administration got in trouble for trying to cover things up as that scandal broke is this the same thing here? is the fbi? is the department of justice engaged in obstruction of justice? are they engaged in a cover-up? it looks like it to me. >> this certainly obstructed our investigation. we had unsolicited briefing by the fbi that was later leaked to the press to summary me interfering in the wisconsin '22 election. they knew in october 2016 that the steel dossier was sourced by a russian potential spy. the fbi was investigating in guy as a russian spy. so, we understand how corrupt the fbi was when it came to investigating trump. and that corruption just continues. >> jesse: all right. senator johnson, keep up the good work in the senate. we appreciate it. >> have a good night. >> jesse: up next, could anthony fauci still be working for the
