bring charges california in the fall of 2022 and had that request denied in january of 20 # 23. yet, u.s. attorney general merrick garland told congress that weiss had all the authority necessary to pursue the charges. >> jesse: so the attorney general lied to congress. and his justice department stonewalled charges on hunter twice. blocked it. and when delaware tried to override the decision by applying for special counsel status, the attorney general said no. and when the charges actually came, the department of justice under charged hunter. >> these tax crimes cover an estimated 2.2 million in unreported tax on global income streams to mr. biden and his associates from ukraine, romania, and china.

totaling 17.3 million from 2014 to 2019. mr. biden personally received $8.3 million. >> jesse: whoa. gets worse. the whistleblower also says justice department tipped hunter off about a search of one of his storage units. >> investigators had probable cause to search a northern virginia storage unit in which hunter biden had stored files. attorneys for biden were made aware, fryer any search, providing them valuable time to remove any materials that could be useful evidence. >> jesse: oh, and we're not done. the biden justice department tampered with evidence, too. they killed evidence directly tying this whole thing to joe biden. listen. >> this was a campaign of delay, divulge and deny.

whistleblowers say reoccurring unjustified delays pervaded the investigation. including an authenticking a whatsapp message in which hunter biden demands payment from chinese officials noting that his father is in the room. not only was joe biden in the room, hunter was threatening to destroy his chinese business partner if he didn't pay the bidens immediately saying, quote: i'm sitting here with my father and we would like to know why the commitment has not been filled. you will regret not following my direction. joe was in the room. this is a massive scandal. and now we know why hunter got let off. this was always about protecting joe biden. and everyone in washington was in on it. big intel still covering for him after they pulled the rug out on trump in the last election. >> i thought at the time it was appropriate to sound a warning

justice department, how abusive is that? >> it's very abusive. and what the democrats want to say is that well, this delaware attorney was appointed by trump. but he was appointed by obama before he was ever appointed by trump for various positions. so, this is certainly a situation like many where a senator works out a deal with the president, even if they're an opposing parties. mcconnell does it in kentucky all the time to get the u.s. attorney their preference. the democrats saying this is no big deal because this is a trump appointed attorney, that's a moot point. the evidence is overwhelming. whether it be in the department of justice, the irs, or the fbi, that this department of justice has consistently tried to do everything to cover up criminal activity by the biden family. >> jesse: if the attorney general, merrick garland, came out and said several times "i'm
