what the ukrainians are not going to do is be foolish like the russians. we saw the russians attack wave after wave into bakhmut and literally thousands of their troops got slaughtered. what the ukrainians are trying to do so our audience understands is feel their way through these defenses to pick out the best opportunity to penetrate. and that takes some time because they don't want to expend their forces. you know, there is mind fields out there. huge obstacles out there using foot infantry to infiltrate at night to surprise the russian defenses and pick out the best place to penetrate. most of the western brigades that contain the equipment that we provided as well as the training to the ukrainian soldiers most have not been committed to this fight yet. they will represent the main

meteorologist janice dean with our fox weather forecast. janice? >> ainsley, really active. take a look at it. we had those tornadoes yesterday across the rockies including just south of the denver area up towards washington, d.c. state a couple thunderstorm warnings in effect for the panhandle of texas in towards oklahoma and that severe storm risk continues from the big bend of texas all the way up towards the rockies, again today. with hail, damaging winds, tornadoes likely and also levy rainfall causing the potential for flash flooding. look at that map. we have rain and thunderstorms in the forecast extending from the gulf coast from florida up towards the mid-atlantic and the northeast this weekend. there's tropical storm bret moving through the lesser antilles coming out of the caribbean and broke a record for june. tropical storms east of the lesser antilles, that has never happened. named storms. this is bret. it will weaken over the weekend

life by offering me a full athletic scholarship to the university of arizona that launched my athletic success to accomplish an ncaa title in the back stroke. i paved the way for my family my siblings followed my footsteps to college. my parents did not graduate from college they drove me to countless practices and swim meets to allow me the chance to thrive in sports largely due to financial aid from title ix. >> ainsley: that's amazing gosh i love america. claire, your story is so unique. you were a lacrosse player and currently play at usf down in florida. you and your mom started a lacrosse team in your middle school because your school didn't have one, which is great. and what did you for women is very empowering. changed lives of all those girls on your team. they have united states memories. many probably went on to college

like you and got scholarships. how does changing title ix effect women's sports in your opinion? >> i think changing title ix is just taking away already limited opportunities. so for women, like you said, me and my mom helped create the program the middle in my middle school and my high school didn't have a jv so there is already these limited opportunities. and to allow men into our spaces and take those opportunities for us it's just diminishing already what we don't have a lot of. i'm really excited to be here talking about this because i know that the leadership institutes campus reform has been talking about the biden administration's intention to change title ix for years now. and i'm excited to be here with these other women standing up for an issue that needs to be talked about more. >> ainsley: pat, what an incredible story you have. an olympic athlete that, is incredible. you are one of two african-american women to ever make the u.s. women's olympic team in rowing.

tell us how changing title ix effects women's sports in your opinion. >> well, it's a privilege and a pleasure to be here today. and it is really important being here actually with these three women across the -- i want to say eras of title ix. title ix impacted me tremendously by just allowing sports participation at college. when i was in college, there were 30,000 women athletes around the country in intercollegiate sports. now there are upwards of 229,000 female intercollegiate athletes. so it changed my life tremendously and paved the way for as you can see exponentially more women to have access to education, to have access to financial support, to have
