discriminate must articulate a state interest based on concrete evidence. we heard from supreme justice brown, let them eat cake, deeming race irrelevant in law does not make it so in life. the court ruling in favor of postal worker who was seeking a religious exemption from working on sunday. in the past, there just had to be minimal disruption. >> in 2016, they started talking about amazon delivery on sunday and they found a way for it to work. after a while, it was mandated for everybody.

so glad to see it was unanimous, conservative and liberal justices came together and agreed it is important to protect religious proim in america. >> final decisions will include the student loan forgiveness plan and whether it is legal and a colorado case where an art does not feel she should be forced to design if it goes against her beliefs. we are not sure if the president will weigh in on the president's student lone plan. we will see if he has anything to say when the student loan comes down. we will get reaction from both sides. >> steve: mark, yesterday the president was on the channel across the street and asked about packing the court in light of what happened yesterday.

mom and dad divorced. did you benefit from affirmative action and do you wish it was still around? >> i did not, i will say this, progres in america is palpable, that is good news that we made reasonable progress and today those of us judge each other by content of character, not color of skin. to form a more perfect union, make sure today is better than yesterday, this year is better than last year, this decade bigger than last decade. that is the story of america and last time i saw a poll two out of three african americans says using race as primary factor is not necessary, 65% of hispanics and asians come to the same decision. state of california struck down racial preferses, what does that

say from the heart of americans? we believe in each other. that is good news and why the radical left is screaming at the top much their lungs? power, control, not progress. >> rachel: such a great point. one thing minorities face, myself, we just had geraldo on, who said i'm the product of affirmative action, back in 1963 issue but here we are at 2023, with affirmative action, there seems to be this suspicion, so if somebody is minority, whether a senator or getting into university or sitting on the couch or set like this, people wonder, is that because of affirmative action? that is flip side of that. when we don't use merit, people wonder if you really are qualified. that is something many african americans and hispanics have had to deal with their entire lives.

fewer of us have to worry about that, especially with the end of affirmative action based on race. here is what i can tell you about american progress that makes me excited. i ran for congress in 2010, with your husband becoming part of the historic freshman class, i ran against the son of strom th thurmon. if you are looking for story of american progress, why i'm excited for the united states, i am excited because i have seen journeys, pain and misery that went before me culminated in a race against someone from the right family and the other kid from the wrong side 've the tracks. in south carolina, we judge people on what they say they are going to do and hold them accountable, that is good news for america and in the palmetto
