5:02 pm
"threatened future progress". kamala also said the court paves the way for businesses to "discriminate in the name of free expression". so let's get this straight, a hearing to your religious beliefs is now discrimination? kamala may have got her talking points from cnn that said the exact same thing about the decision this morning. >> a lot of people worrying about things like jim crow because somebody decided they want black folk to come in the backdoor because they don't want them in their store. how far might this go? >> the first amendment is being used as a shield for bigotry. the first amendment is being used as a shield for discrimination. lawrence: wild, they weren't trying to hide their disdain for the first amendment. that was just the reaction to the first major ruling today. shortly after the supreme court handed down that decision, they struck down joe biden's

5:04 pm
why should every day middle class americans pay for the elite to go to college. the biden administration will ignore the stream court and ignore student loans anyway. >> today i want to ensure students and families our fight is not over. we're taking action. lawrence: they don't respect our institutions. it's not hard to see why the administration will do everything it can to help their elite left wing voters who have gender studies degrees, even msnbc admitted this all about fulfilling a political campaign promise, watch. >> this is an enormous setback for this president and this administration in a campaign promise and something they were hoping was going to be critical,

especially for young voters heading into the 2024 election. i can tell you now checking in with sources inside the white house on their reaction it is one of vowing to fight back. lawrence: there it is. student loan forgiveness is all about winning young voters. it's a scam to enrich joe biden's voters. now that it's failed, joe biden isn't taking responsibility. >> mr. president, why did you give millions of borrowers false hope and doubted your horse here in the past -- authority here in the past. >> i didn't give false hope and the question is whether or not i'd do more than questioned >> the republicans snatched away the hope they were given and it's real. real hope. thanks. lawrence: snatch it had away. vivek ramaswamy is a 2024

presidential candidate and joins us now. vivek, before i get into the merits of all this, i thought joe biden and the democrats were going to restore order to the country. that means respecting the coequal branch like the supremee court; right? >> look, i think it's one of the reasons why we have a supreme court. it's days and weeks like the one we have now, which i'm actually quite hopeful about that remind us what the three branch system of government was supposed to be all about and now the supreme court was supposed to be the backstop for standing up for the constitution. lawrence, it's the administrative state today that has wielded power far more than congress does even far more than the president leading the executive branch and the supreme court has proven itself to be the backstop for freedom in the country whether religious freedom, the freedom of the people to make sure that the administrative state like the education secretary doesn't make unconstitutional laws by fiat.
5:07 pm
lawrence: the president and even nancy pelosi said the president sunt and the administrative state doing something that congress couldn't have done and the people of the country would have voted them out if congress tried to. this builds on west virginia versus epa. that was a case last year with the supreme court held that certain regulations passed by the epa were unconstitutional. now they held actually the student loan forgiveness plan implemented by the department of education and also unlawful. if that's the case, i'm looking at my presidency if i'm elected president, most of those federal regulations put out by the administrative state are also unconstitutional. i will rescind them according toly and this is a --

5:11 pm
courts to legitimize and license crime nation in this kind of way really makes our country not the country that we want it to be. lawrence: she's saying it you oppose debt forgiveness, you're racist. will cain is the cohost of "fox & friends" weekend and he's been kind enough to join us onset. he'll be back here next week in this chair. will, >> forgive me if i sound like a sophomore in college that just took philosophy. you're familiar with plato's allegory of the cave. if i had a man chained up in a cave forced to stair at a wall with the -- stare at the wall with a fire at his back and sat in that position he'd think the shadows and the fire was casting up on the wall was reality.
5:12 pm
if someone came in and cut that man's chains and allowed him to see the world as it really is, a lot to see reality, what's the first thing to do and he'd kill the man that would reveal to him reality. many people like to live in their false reality with their false promises and with their false bribes. you know, biden is in essence those 43 million, they were the townspeople that watched a man coming in selling a magical elixir and making you ten years younger and skin clear. just drink the snake oil. they've woken up and somebody goes, whoa, you look awful, man. are they likely to take it out on the guy who sold them the snake oil or likely to take it out on joe biden and democrats, or more likely to turn on reality? that -- those who row veal reality. i'm a little afraid all this talk and all of this it's the republicans fault will be just yet another bottle of snake oil they'll sell to the people. lawrence: will, that was by design. that was by design to turn it on
