more than 15 points since gallup first began doing this annual poll back in january 2001. let's bring in former nfl player jack brewer, and founder of jack brewer foundation, and happy 4th of july to you, jack. >> happy 4th of july. a glorious time in this nation. >> gillian: what's your gut reaction to the stats we just shared on screen from the gallup survey? >> unfortunately, it's godlessness. this nation was founded by men and women who believed that our rights come from god and right now you see a decline in love for this country just like you see a decline in the love for god. you have more nonbelievers in the united states of america than any time in history and that's a direct reflection of that. you have to believe in something greater than yourself to be able to respect men and women who

literally laid their life on the line for you to have your freedom, but i tell you what, if you go to other countries -- you know, our foundation does work across the world, in africa, where people don't have access to clean water and food and haiti where they are living in turmoil and disaster all around them. those folks understand how great america is and people all over the world are trying to get here and flock to this nation because it is the greatest place to live on earth. and for people not to respect that and you not have have pride in being here is shameful. it's a direct reflection of what happens when you remove god from schools, remove god from society, you start to have a godless nation. >> gillian: you are undoubtedly right, a huge element of spirituality at play here and also some very tangible real world factors at play such as the fact, you know, that people just lived through this devastating pandemic, people

were terrified for the last three years, we lived through a recession we are just starting to see the tail end of hopefully now. folks are going through a lot of hard stuff the last couple of years, but you would think that now being on sort of the recovery tail end of all of that, hopefully, people would maybe be feeling more hopeful but we are just knoll seeing that. >> that's true. and the bible teaches us when you go through trials and tribulations, that's when your faith must be stronger. you know, we are saved by the grace of god through our faith and so you've got to have faith and to overcome all of that. this nation did go through a lot, but the entire world went through a lot and people look at us all over the globe to be the overcomers, they look to us for hope. why do you think people are flooding our borders, why families are risking their lives to be able to raise their children here in this nation. we have to be real as well. we can't live in a bubble, live

in a box and think that the smaller the issues around us are the biggest thing in the world when there are so many people that would only dream about being here and being in this nation. and i think this is a time to reflect on that, reflect on the greatness of america, don't always look at all the negative things that have happened. there's been, you know, whether it's slavery, wars, they have been killings and mass murders all over the world throughout history. this country has overcome them all and will continue if we put god back on the throne. >> gillian: beautifully said. jack brewer, happy 4th to you and your whole family. thank you to all the work you do in support of america. >> thank you, god bless you. >> bryan: one of the biggest 4th of july fireworks shows in the country is in nashville. 40,000 pounds of explosives and some of the shells bigger than basketballs. will nunley from fox weather is live in nashville.

hey, will. >> yeah, we have several hundred thousand people converging on downtown nashville like this, multiple blocks of the city shut down just to accommodate the crowds. you can see how folks are passing through the metal detectors here. big old barricades for safety. concerts are ready, fireworks are ready, and the headliner is brad paisley. he's going to be joined by the nashville symphony orchestra. all the fireworks on the cumberland river will be set to the music from the national symphony orchestra. and we are sandwiched between storms that caused a lot of power outages in nashville and memphis, and we are trying to squeeze it in. looks like the concerts are good to go. the children's activities are happening. music on the live stage as well. hopefully we'll have the rain out of the way, not starting until at least midnight, something people here are looking forward to as we have thousands expected in person and

many watching on tv. rivalled only with nashville new year's eve celebrations. a lot of eyes on nashville. happy 4th. >> bryan: a lot of travel snaffus and whatnot, is it as packed or more than what they are used to? >> terms of hotel affordability, what i judge it by, hotel rooms are available. >> bryan: and you said it's brad paisley? i have to wrap. hour three of fox news live continues right after this.
