7:00 pm
pt welcome back to special edition of "hannity." unfortunately, that is all the time we have left this evening. if you're looking for your next beach read check out my book, "here's the deal." it is available wherever books are sold. thank you for tuning in and the "angle starts right now." have a great night >> i am for laura ingraham for the special edition. thank you for being here. we start tonight with another layer of intrigue involving hunter and the biden family shading business association. >> i was senior advisor with your education company cdc. at the same time of its dealings with the biden family. and under normal circumstances i
7:01 pm
would be testifying before congress, but my experience with cdc. and due to circumstances i would describe here in this video, i am forced to tell you this story via video. >> pete: there is no more normal circumstances. that was the missing witness from the corruption investigation. he is dr. gall. in an extraordinary video filmed in a undisclosed location while he is at this moment on the run. in the 14 minute recording of obtained exclusively by "the new york post," the army -- to stop them from testifying to the house oversight committee and at the bottom family received payment from individuals from alleged ties and to chinese military
7:02 pm
intelligence. self-proclaimed guy that he provided the incriminating evidence to six vendor from the fbi and the department of justice any secret many in brussels in march of 2019. he alleges that it was covered up. >> i shared my information about the biden family transaction with them. including specific dollar. the alarming information that i revealed was within the doj who shared classified information with hunter biden and his chinese partners. after brussels, i never heard back from the doj, but instead of showing appreciation for my whistle-blowing, i became public enemy number one. >> pete: they did not have time to get back to him. he goes on to describe how over the next four years, he, family, and his associates were harassed
7:03 pm
and intimidated. in february of this year he was arrested in cyprus on an extradition request from the southern district of new york for violating the expert arms control act. after his arrest, he tweeted, "i've been arrested by the u.s.." u.s. is claiming that i may arms dealer. it would be funny if it was not tragic. i've never been an arms dealer, and doj is trying to bury me. he defended himself and again and his video statement. >> i volunteered to inform the u.s. government about potential security brief, and about compromising information about a man vying to be the next president. i am now being hunted by the very same people who i informed, and will have to live on the run for the rest of my life. >> pete: he says he's being hunted. those are strong words.
7:04 pm
"the new york post" reports that house oversight chairman who was a preparing to interview us before he disappeared says that he remains a potential witness and the biden family probe. despite the fact that he is a fugitive at this moment. his post of allegations need to be addressed. and his motive could not be clearer. this does not have to do anything with partisan politics. >> i'm not republican not democrat, i have no political motive or agenda. i did it after deep concern that if the bidens work to come to power and that the country it would be facing the same traumatic russian collusion scandal, but only to sign with china. sadly, because of the doj's cover-up this is exactly what has happened. >> pete: we have reached out to the doj for a comment and we have yet to hear back.
7:05 pm
joining me now is miranda devine, a perfect guest for this tonight, and who broke the story. also with me is mike davis, founder and president of the article free project. miranda, it is a fantastic scoop by you and if what luft says is true, how does this changed the course of the investigation now and 200 but also into joe? >> i think he is going to be a witness and that is what he wants to do. he was already in talks to be a witness when he was arrested. and he is a fugitive, obviously, that discredits himself somewhat. that was the aim to stop him, as he says to stop them from testifying. and he thinks that he told me that the brussels meeting, and other facts about the bidens has been corroborated since he told me that, and other ways he has
7:06 pm
give me a document that showed that brussels meeting was, in fact, scheduled by the southern district of new york. he is described by people who knew them in washington, d.c., as a credible person and with deep intelligence, ties, he is founded and ran a sort of energy think tank which has as it is pfizer's of washington, d.c., life as the former cia director james wallace e from the nca -- well plugged in to washington. and he was, correct, i verified that he was partners with deberry chinese from cfc that hunter biden and they were receiving money from, millions of dollars. i guess he had the access to be able to know that information, and we have heard about an fbi
7:07 pm
mole before. and he is not put pressure on the bones. definitely a serious set of allegations and they should be investigating and he has yet again that he wasn't. the fifth whistle-blower whose allegations about the bidens were just buried by the doj. >> pete: they are blowing the whistle all over the place and no one is hearing it. the game just continues. mike, anyone involved in hunter's corrupt business dealings are not going to be a boy scott. and dr. luft is no exception to that. does that discredit his allegations. there is going to be unsavory characters if we're talking about these type of dealings. >> we are talking about the bidens and this is the bidens who face allegation that they took $10 million in foreign bribes and threaten to pull a billion dollars in u.s. aid from ukraine. and if the president did not fire the prosecutor and ukraine investigating, and he biden's,
7:08 pm
this was the devout biden justice department that cut a sweetheart deal with hunter biden. failing to file taxes and getting a deferred sentence on eight felony gun charge to cover up two years of millions and millions of dollars of alleged foreign corruption bribing of the bidens. i will say about this whistle-blower, he named specific names, dates, places, amounts, the house oversight, or at the house judiciary committee, or the house ways and means to means committee has to issue subpoenas for depositions of these people. these six official officials that he named. have them come in and provide documents, get the nbc officials and brussel and run this down. >> pete: yeah, no doubt. we know what their playbook looks like and they're going to downplay all of these allegations due to shady past. i do not remember they left ever having a problem with piping like michael cohen as the star
7:09 pm
witness against trump. shameless in this way and so will you get a chance to present this evidence either before or at the committee, or in a way that the public. there's so much smoke here miranda. the question is if anyone here at the whistle-blowing? >> he is on the run. he has said that it's been on the run probably for the rest of his life. and he tells me that he is really in fear of his life as well. who knows if he can testify by remote video or by sending in a video, i don't know how he will figure that out. what we do know is that the democrats are masters at trashing every whistle-blower that comes forward. and you have seen a real time as they are doing it and the irs whistle-blower met with an impeccable record of honesty and integrity, who has recovered billions of dollars for his country. and you just watch how they are tearing him down.
7:10 pm
>> pete: they will, exactly right. miranda and mike, thank you for your time. rate story. the doj official who set up the affirmation brussels meeting with this man luft and the fbi was none other than jeffrey berman than the u.s. attorney for the southern district of new york. despite setting up the meeting he never followed up with luft. in the fall of 2020, days after hunter biden's laptop was released, luft dispatched the attorney to an washington, d.c., to meet with the trump's -- repeat the allegations i repeated that nobody followed up on. luft showed the posts between his attorney and the senior official is confirming their correspondence. not anything came from this either. myself on on the outlook calendar. joining me now is matt whitaker,
7:11 pm
former acting attorney under president trump. matt, thank you for being here. set up a meeting and then never follow-up? >> it is extraordinary and it looks like the district of the new york was running their own intelligence operation to find out what dr. luft knew and then it is really disparate dumb expressing to hefty payday from named justice and find out the same information. there is a lot of unverified facts here that we are going to have to get to the bottom off, that we are going to have to verify. this gentleman was at cfc for four years while hunter biden was getting millions of dollars. and he seemed to have a front row picture as to what was going on and how these transactions were structured, and really what the matter, money was for. that is the important question in this whole thing.
7:12 pm
>> pete: no doubt. he raised an important question. he talked about questions and here is in our portion of it. >> what about the fbi submit to congress and in minutes from the brussels meeting. let everybody see what happened and brussels. why not. trying to protect anything, we tried to protect anybody. >> pete: why not. could the g.o.p. and the house demand to see the minutes from this meeting? >> it definitely is. and that is a document that should be made available to congress. this seems to me that the stonewalling by the fbi needs to end. another situation situation where we have documents and verified information, now congress is not providing the documents. a pattern, a concerning pattern that the fbi does not want accountability, does not want transparency, and will not answer the questions to why they
7:13 pm
are not following up on these major leads that suggest a very corrupt joe biden and biden family. >> pete: matt, real quick, have you ever seen anything like this. you mentioned and intelligence all up where it feels like the outreach is based on trying to figure out what people know as opposed to running down an investigation and determine the truth. how unprecedented is this? >> -- note president. if you think about the amount of resources that rent and 2d russian collusion hoax, with fake information would try to run that to the ground and offer million dollars with the dossier. then we have these very credible allegations that they're not putting any resources to figure out what actually happened, and where laws were violated. >> pete: stunning contrast when he put it that way and offering money to verify information, and forgetting about meetings.
7:14 pm
about billions of dollars. matt, thank you very much. the biden family scandals and they do not end there. we have more intrigue surrounding cocaine game tonight. >> former president trump has made some wild posts on social media and one of them was that the cocaine found in the white house had belonged to either the president or his son. are you willing to say that that is not the case and that they do not belong to them? >> i don't have a response to that because we have to be careful about the hatch act. [laughter] >> pete: what kind of response is data. the hatch act. it makes more sense given what nbc news reported, reluctantly i am sure, earlier today. >> was found by my observation and a much more secure place, limited access place. it is down here to situation room and down below. >> west executive entrance, which you noted is closer to the
7:15 pm
situation room, and is also next to west executive drive. that is where the vice president's vehicle is parked. >> pete: right outside the situation room, and why can the white house not get their story straight. joining me now sean davis, ceo and cofounder of the federalist. it is good to see you. if i did not know any better it sounds like the white house is setting up, lot here and where the vp is parked. the oval office is found and how significant is it? >> i'm fascinated by how the story seems to be changing by the day, and by the hour. first it was found in the library, and then it was found in the executive mansion. and then they found it near to situation room and now they're trying to blame it on her. i find it amazing. let's be honest that we have got hunter biden living on the white house. i guy has a long history of
7:16 pm
addiction, cocaine use, he was kicked out of the navy, all kinds of crime. it is fascinating to me because when he got busted for running eight illegal gun up and delaware, it was a secret service that tried to bail them out. it was kind of amazing. and he blamed it on a handful of hispanics who he said it was probably a legalist when he got busted for doing cocaine and he was joining the navy he blamed that on two random africans who gave him a cigarette. they are trying to pin the blame on the black lady who works for biden. you cannot make this stuff up, so ridiculous. >> pete: i forgotten about the cover-up by the secret service which means that this investigation is going to be aboveboard. why would you be this time. and here is one of the more shocking pieces of information we received today. watch this. >> this is not in an area that is highly traffic, but not necessarily covered by cameras all that well, it is an area
7:17 pm
that a decent amount people had access to. makes that investigation will open more difficult. can end up with a anybody being named as the person who is responsible for bringing that bag of cocaine to the white house. >> pete: setting this up for d supreme court leaking situation. it was so complicated and no way we can figure out who brought cocaine even know we have the name, date of birth, social security number of everybody to entered. can the trying to pass that on us? >> you love the audacity. these are guys going after a random granny who was 50 miles from the capital, and she glanced at the direction andy had her bank records and phone records, gps, and he cannot figure out what staffer or family member brought in a big old bag. stone cold who done it. >> pete: tip of the hat for audacity here.
7:18 pm
>> they knew who came, there has got to be fingerprints on the bag. someone was carrying it. and like the pie bombers that they want to find, let's see if they do. thank you very much for your time. runs into reality. plus wise i treasury secretary kowtowing to the communist chinese. react next.

>> restoring the american dream. about being able to look a kid in the eye and say it is going to be okay and mean it. it is rooted and what always worked best for this country. investing in america. >> pete: it is not a joke's his distorted view of the economy here is the reality. only 34% a third of u.s. adults approve of how he is handling the economy. and while biden is out pedaling dilution under bigger story is taking place halfway around the world. their pockets lined. treasury secretary touched down in china today and she strikes
7:24 pm
fears in the minds of our enemies. it is not looking good. she's planning on doubling down on appeasing the chinese and "the washington post" is reporting, "on comments she made an april speech to eight trip to farm burner and preserving healthy economic ties with the two largest economies. dominates relations." and this all comes as china colludes with russia and other allies to try to replace the u.s. dollar on the world stage. the bottom that might biden redeem his too ignorant to see how chinese is taking advantage or their appeasement policy is purposely designed it to benefit their class. joining us is a former eric trump deputy assistant secretary of defense, and monica crowley, who traveled to china
7:25 pm
with dan steve maneesh and for trade and negotiation. great to have you guys tonight. this just crossed a wire just moments ago while we were a commercial break that the chinese finance ministry is saying that if we hope that the u.s. are going to take concrete action to grade a favorable environment for economic trade and ties between china and u.s. and what is your reaction to that and the attempt that janet yellen is making here in china? >> they tried to get whatever they can. frankly, i'm confused about when the ministrations trying to do because they are sending them an john kerry over, the most pro-china group members of the administration and air pleading for diminishment of attention with the chinese, and as same time there point sanctions on. the chinese think that we are trying to obtain them, but we're not doing it effectively, especially on the military side, and we are in a serious
7:26 pm
situation where we are speaking loudly, but uncertainly but carrying a small stake. we should be speaking softly and carrying a big mistake. >> pete: i just watched her in that photo, and she bowed like 19 times. what is monica, what is our strategy here and usually when you have big international trips is under a take away your shooting for it, we want to get a win. they are groveling point. >> today, janet yellen arrived in beijing to grovel to the cpc of the chinese communist party. and at the same time xi jinping was giving a war speech to the pla, the people's liberation army eastern theater of command. that would lead any attack on taiwan, and that was no coincidence that he was giving a
7:27 pm
war talk at the same time i treasury secretary it was on the ground in this country trying to appease his regime. no american emaciation it be requesting high profile level meetings or summits with any adversary without a clear agenda, clear objective, and real deliverables at the end of those meetings. that is been the standard throughout american history, and yet this administration led by president who looks wholly compromised by the cpc, is taking the exact opposite approach of appeasement and weakness and we know what happens when you have got american weakness and it is a provocation and the good guys retreat and the bad guys advanced and the wheels come off the world. they are playing for keeps and we are talking about climate change with no direct deliverable. and monica just mentioned it
7:28 pm
that xi jinping talked about strengthening the military. and just today we are going to talk about economic and environmental, and whatever else we want to talk about, they're like let's get ready to invade taiwan. any part of the approach we are making to persuade and that? >> i don't think so and i think she put a finger on it. and said this a number of times that they should be ready for an actual war. if you look at the indicators and the way that he talks, that he the pla does not think that they are ready yet, but they are trying to fix the problem. they are acting like a country that is getting ready for a war, and i looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then maybe it is a duck. at the same time they say that they are strangling, the use of the word that xi jinping is using. this is a dangerous situation and end this context, pete, as you are projecting you have to project strength. have to see that any attempt to use military force or otherwise
7:29 pm
will fail. instead what biden and has a administration are projecting are a kind of weakness or a plaintive desire to please or accommodate, and that sends the wrong signal to a guy like xi jinping that we know a lot about. he is with delete full world of chinese politics. he has ra done something that is more dangerous, personally, to himself and his family dead getting into a war with his united states business and we have to act like that and not send them over there. >> pete: we do not have much time, but you went over there and did this job, and what would your approach be right now if with the trump administration what would that look like. >> president trump was the only modern american president to see the chinese thread clearly and take on the ccp and an aggressive way. keep in mind that the ccp by their own words has been engaged in what they call on restrictive
7:30 pm
warfare since the 1990s. and that means on restrictive warfare against united states and the west and every category, economic, military, political, cultural, last 30 years has been their sole purpose is global domination. we have a president that is completely weak, president trump was strong on china and if he comes back and a second term as i believe he will, there will be a different posture for american foreign policy with regard to the ccp. >> pete: and also really helps if he had not been entangled in a really shady international deals with top-level ccp members. that is a bonus. thank you very much. and up next it is our pulse of the nation's segment. we examine two data points that have the democrat like countries in the world in crisis world. there glowing hispanic and our

>> pete: less than 500 days left for election 2024. let's check the pulse of the nation. cocaine date and the disastrous role of bidenomics, not to mention a hunter, democrats are spiraling, and why would they not be worried. nbc news shows that 70% believe that by then it should not run for reelection. that includes 51% of democrats, majority of his own party. overall approval rating stands at 41.5%. to put that into context there has not been a less popular president at this point in over 40 years. and as a result, some democrats find themselves desperate for a
7:37 pm
alternative. enter gavin newsom. he has become the latest democrat proxy to hit the campaign trail for biden, and even though he denies any interest and running in 2020 for some observers are beginning to question his motivation. and one g.o.p. consultant is saying that he is putting and time and effort than nobody else outside the white house appears to be doing and he is acting like the candidate and waiting and someday. and may pay off for him. joining us now to discuss is the democrat pollster, and former advisor to president clinton. and tom bevan, president and cofounder of real clear politics. three smart dudes on politics to give us the pulse of the nation. what you make of this idea that gavin newsom is the democrats ace in the hole for 2024. >> i think that what
7:38 pm
gavin newsom is doing is positioning himself in case joe biden does not recover. he is in a position to step into the reins. kamala harris is the likely nominee and if biden does not run. but, trying to blunt her advantage by improving the country aggressively. he will not run against joe biden, very hard to beat an incumbent president, but is positioning himself on the eventuality that the president, ultimately for whatever reason does not run for reelection. >> pete: it is obvious that sometimes things like that are self evident. matt, are you seeing any polling at all that the problems that the white house, and i know the cocaine stuff would not be resonating, but with hunter and the investigation, smoke, that having impact inside the party and with numbers going down even more recently? >> it is funny because i talked to the boat tied pollster,
7:39 pm
robert, i'm launching a podcast with him. we are not seeing the penetration of these issues like you would expect, but part of that is that it has been alluded to alter out this evening. and that is that a law of the legacy media will not cover the issues that are affecting the bidens, and if they do cover it like the cocaine issue they get to it, drop, and did not want to go back. we not seeing the numbers changed that much because you have to understand that biden has reached a certain level that i were not expect him to dump below until he has a major incident that moves them further down. >> pete: tom, let's assume for a moment that biden is the nominee. he has gone or crisis waiting for him at the ballot box. according to recent polling, nearly all percent of hispanics
7:40 pm
is that economic are fairly poor. personal financial situation and they say that joe biden policies are hurting their families. tom, how significant is to shift? we saw the ship in 2020, they long relied on the hispanic vote on certain key states, and a set cut even worse in their direction? >> they have to be concerned about the trend over the last few cycles because donald trump actually increased his boat share with hispanics. republicans did it and 2022 as well. it is going to be down to the key states and that includes nevada, and arizona where about the third of the population is hispanics. also places like florida, georgia has hispanic population as well. hispanics are going to play a pivotal role and the upcoming election. democrats have got to make sure that they maintain a sizable advantage because if they do not then they went out to make it up somewhere else. >> pete: waiting to make it up it is exactly right. doug, another canary and a gold mine as your brains here
7:41 pm
with the dnc. "washington post," abc post that asked voters who did a better job at handling the economy. amongst hispanics the response was 55% preferred donald trump, and just 36 preferred bidenomics. is that translating into changes and voting trends? >> i think absolutely. this is a big problem for the democrats that is clear and apparent in swing states, and indeed nationally. it puts senate seats and rescue, congressional seats, and a party has yet to address it. the democrats believe that hispanics are only interested in identity politics, when they believe and traditional values, and they are anti-communist to a very large degree. as you point out, rightly, they are substantially impacted by an
7:42 pm
economy where inflation is up, wages are down and a cost-of-living is getting ever higher. >> pete: how did they address it. if economics is not the way. a lot of hispanics are much more culturally and socially conservative. they do not want gender pronouns for their elementary school children and how do they get back that consistency when their base is going hard the other direction. >> i don't know if they can. and doug nailed it. that is an issue that they not have been able to address. and to what tom said earlier, look at some of the states like florida. look at orange county, osceola county, they go out democrat because of the puerto rican population. this time desantis carried one of debt counties. this is a trend and you see it with brian kemp in georgia, the continues to drift even and
7:43 pm
these midterms and some of these these key states toward the republican party and i don't see any way that the democrats are going to save at all. i don't see anything that indicates that is going to take place until they make some major changes. some of them are cultural and they do not want to make those cultural changes in their presentation. >> pete: tom, back to where we started, cannot let you off the hook. it's biden going to be due nominee in your crystal ball with all that you have seen? [laughter] >> answer is stuck with him right now. i agree. the fact that were so seeing these stories about gavin newsom and other democrats is because democrats like biden, support him, like his policies. want to give him a gold watch, because they have concern of the stamina, age, mental iq, and they are just stuck with them right now. >> pete: joe go over there. he cannot. thank you very much. great stuff. why do employees keep getting

>> pete: with crime is spiraling and blue states and refusing to do their job. every day americans are forced into terrible and predictable situations. and when they are there not just grappling with the criminals themselves, but in some cases their own employers. the senior national correspondent kevin has the details. >> let me get this straight. if you take out your phone to record thieves at your job then you're hoping to help authorities catch them later. not the stealing, recording them is what will get you fired. and if you work at king's super in colorado because that is exactly what happened to employee santino who was in fact fired after recording a group of thieves when they were stealing a car full of laundry detergent. >> smells good.
7:50 pm
really, bro. the economy is not that bad. >> pete: helped the cops get one of them. that grocery stand has a statement that says that we have security measures and place to help prevent crime and de-escalate such confrontation. we are unable to comment on personal matters, we value our hardworking associates and their safe return home. now losing a job after trying to stop thieves from stealing as a norm. you can recall back in may that a pair of employees were fired after confronting mass robbers there. i actually started a gofundme page to help recover the lost wages and was not given any more

so. my health, and i went there tonight and about 17 grand and counting. >> scoop all of these guys and girls up. take you very much. >> as i heard the commissioners speak and resent to my -- reached into my pocket and i pulled out this photo. this photo is one of my closest friends when eye is in the transit police officer. >> pete: he loves to tell that story. it turns out that it might be a lie. "the new york times" is reporting that eric adams team was instructed to create a photo, a picture of the officers found on google, and was printed to make it look like he was carrying for some time, including by splashing coffee on it. joining us now is lee zeldin,
7:52 pm
former new york congressman. it is good to see. this is surprise you at all? >> i don't think that the mayor needs to embellish the story at all. and all reporting is that he did in fact serve with this fallen officers. the family members of these fallen officers have spoken out about the relationship with the mayor. you do not have to go that next level. the story that is being reported is true then you have got the mayor telling a story that is an accurate and using his staff to help promote the lie. globe a different than the mayor saying that he was a vegan and debt news breaks, he turns out that he needs fish. i do not really care. when he talked about a story like this, he gets people a little bit more emotional, you live in new york city then you want strong leadership. quite frankly, what has people most concerned is that when they see people pushing on oncoming

subway cars. in a seedy quality of education being eroded for their kids in schools. and they go to their local store to try to buy laundry detergent, or maybe to face, and you see that it is all locked up. you see the store is closing down. and as far as leadership goes. i think that the mayor is with a big unforced area. do not need to do it, you have got the relationship with the guy. tell the truth. >> pete: it is great point. not the issue of the photo. it is indicative of embellishments or simplicity that has simple been a part of his term. a lot of us had hope that he might take on new york city and bring it back to what it was. give me your grade or assessment of eric adams so far. >> he has to go further. and it is awkward, uncomfortable, have got to take on your own party. and people are going to go after you personally. i remember when mayor adams said
7:54 pm
that judges should have discretion when sending cashless bail. that is absolutely right. rosie o'donnell's brother, danny o'donnell who is a democrat went after the mayor. said that dangerousness is coded for black. suggesting that somehow mayor adams was racist for wanting judges to have discretion. this has been happening time and time again for people and the own party will go after him personally, but cannot stand down. you have to double down, tripled down, when you know you're right. only way to save the city regarding the economies, crime and safety, regarding freedom and quality of education in schools. might be awkward and uncomfortable, but you have got to do it. >> pete: dendy voters are going to back you if you showed at backbone. thank you very much. we will be back in moments.
