room where some of the nation's top-secret missions like the raid on bin laden take place. house republicans opening up their own investigation, calling the events shameful, but national security advisor jake sullivan says there is no need to worry. >> the situation room is not in use, has not been in use for months, because it's currently under construction. the only people going in and coming out of the sit room in this period are workers getting ready to go. >> things got super tense in the briefing room. the white house asked point-blank if the cocaine belonged to the biden family. that question did not go over well with press secretary karine jean-pierre. >> can you see whether or not the cocaine belonged to the biden family or not? >> avoiding the question, that is not true. we've answered this question, litigated this question for the last two days exhaustively. the biden family was not here. they were not here. they were at camp david. they were not here friday. they were not here saturday.

all that this did not belong to the biden family? her outrage, you know, betrays her, because her answer is, umm, we've been clear, the biden family was not here. well, i don't know how true that is, because the biden family was there on friday, and they found the cocaine on friday. now as a prosecutor -- on sunday. they were there on friday. they found it on sunday. so now i'll put my prosecutor hat on. a cop comes to me, and he says to me, we've got a schedule two controlled substance in the white house, most secure house -- should be in the country -- and we want to prosecute it. where's the site of the crime? well, it's in the library. no. maybe to the west wing. one of those cages there. no. maybe it was in the situation room. i'd throw that cop out in a second. if they were to get it charged, defense attorney would come in and say, your honor, this must be dismissed, they're clearly playing with the site of the

crime. finally let me just say that when they say we may never figure it out, that means that they don't have an answer, and that even if they had an answer, they don't want to give you an answer. >> hmm. >> so this is the ultimate cover-up, an illegal substance in one of the most protected houses in the united states, and their inability and refusal to answer questions is an outrage. >> i sense a bit of skepticism from the judge. let's play jake sullivan here talking about the idea that everybody gets drug tested. >> we have rigorous drug testing policies at the white house. we have rigorous drug use policies here at the white house. we take those extremely seriously. so we'll let the investigation unfold. if it involves someone from the white house, the appropriate consequences will ensue. if it involves some visitor who came in and left it, then that's a different matter. >> doesn't it behoove them to get a name? there's rampant speculation.

joe biden. do you think he's a bigger threat to joe biden than donald trump? >> no. i don't think anyone in the democratic party right now is a threat to him. everyone is coalescing behind him. aoc just endorsed him, which is a big deal. she's the head of the left wing progressive side of the party, and she came out early and said joe biden is the guy. there's an incredible track record of achievements to go into this election. she's sending a signal to other people in the squad, people on the left who might prefer a bernie sanders, who has already endorsed him, or elizabeth warren, who's serving as a surrogate for him, we're standing beside joe. if he sides he's not going to run, sure, gretchen whitmer and others will get in. the age is a consideration. what hillary clinton was sig in a conference a few weeks ago was butchered. she was being honest, reflecting what people feel, is you should be able to talk about these

things. you have to acknowledge it, not just make a joke about it. this is why i'm fit to do the job, deserve to be re-elected. elliott cohen, who rot that piece in "the atlantic" is a republican who worked under condoleezza rice in the bush administration at the state department. he was a support are of joe biden over donald trump. this isn't a dyed in the wool liberal. this is elliott cohen. joe biden is out there today, we got the jobs report, the longest streak of unemployment at 4% in american history. people are talking about, there's not good jobs, not prime age. the prime age for employment is 81%, the highest since 2001. >> tell me why people don't feel that way. does it have something to do with their wages? >> yeah, it probably does, because when inflation is outpatriotsing the wage growth, prices are going at a -- even if it's increasing, you can't keep up with that. poll after poll after poll shows

aspartame, the artificial sweetener using in diet sodas, chewing gum, and cough drops, the world health organization is expected to label it as a possible carcinogen. the fda is monitoring, but still believes it's safe, maintaining it's one of the most studied additives in the american food supply, and hasn't been linked to health problems. perhaps more disturbing, nearly half the tap water in the u.s. is laced with hormone-warping chemicals linked to cancer and infertility. shannon, you know, we've been through a pandemic, where i would argue that the alphabet government agencies that are supposed to be in charge of worrying about our health have not really come out all that -- all that reliable. >> yeah. >> i mean, so the fda-approved
