12:00 am
my book, the the people who control the people who control america, if sean you really want to know what's going on in that biden white me ste it. e, this is the book. contr the puppeteers i'll be ablole to read it chart and i think you'll like it. >> thank you again for in. ca. have a great, wonderful weekend. sean willly want to knowl be ba i'm katie pallett in for laura ingraham and this is a special edition of the "ingraham angle" from washington tonight. >> cocaine gate continues to get more bizarre by the day . it must be a scandal because even the media is asking about it and we still don't know exactly what happened because the white house can't get their story straight. consider the evolving narratives throughout the week. on tuesday morning, the new york times, the washington reported that on sunday, a secret service
12:01 am
agent found a white powdery substance during a patrol of the west wing. this prompted a shutdown of some of the white house campus and. the d.c. fire department's hazmat team identified it as cocaine. and their dispatch initially said it was found in the library. then on tuesday afternoon, a secret service spokesman confirmed the details, but clarified the initial reports that it was found inside the library were incorrect. and then also on tuesday afternoon to law enforcement, officials told the associated press that the cocaine was found in area accessible to tour groups. but on wednesday, karine jean-pierre clearly appeared flummoxed when describing where the cocaine was discovered, where this was discovered is a heavily traveled area where many white house west wing. i should be even more specific ,a west wing visitors come through this particular area.
12:02 am
i just don't have anything more to share. it is under investigation by the secret service. >> and yesterday, the story changed again by the big changes where this was found. and it was found by my observation in a much more secure place, limited access place, and that west wing reception area. it's down near the situation room, right off west executive down below. >> first the library, then near a visitor entrance. and now by the situation room. why can't they get their story straight? another mystery. the white house refuses to give an answer. straight answer to which is the most pertinent question. did the cocaine belong to a of the biden family yesterday? they blame the hatch act. >> and today here was just saying once and for all, whether or not the cocaine belonged to the biden family avoiding the question. >> that is not true. we've answered this question. >> there has been some irresponsible about
12:03 am
the family. they were at camp david. they were not here friday. they were not here saturday. they were not here sunday. they were not even here monday. they came back on tuesday. so to ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible. >> but don't worry, because it's unlikely the person will ever be caught. >> bag of cocaine that was found inside a cubby at the entrance to the west wing. it's possible they don't get to the bottom of this. look, they do have security cameras. of course, but it's not clear whether those cameras were pointed at those cubbies. >> hmm. how convenient. but that's not good enough for republicans. congressman james colmer chairman of the house oversight committee is seeking a staff level briefing from the secret service as the gop led panel conducts its own investigation . and senators cotton and lee are demanding answers as well. >> joining me now to talk about all of this is ned ryan, ceo of american majority, and stephen miller, former senior adviser
12:04 am
to president trump and founder of america first legal. so, ned, this is awkward for, everybody. and given what we just laid out. do you think that maybe the white house is covering for someone, anyone of course they are, katie. they're. we they know that. we know they're lying. they just don't want to admit that hunter left a bag of his blow in the library for for a variety of reasons. i mean, one might be it would blow up a sham plea deal. another might be they just think they're better than us. they don't have to follow the laws. but, you know, the fact of the matter is, it's kind of sad. and all of this is i mean, is highlighting the dysfunction of the biden family, but it's distracting their real corruption. we're talking about cocaine when we should be talking about their foreign influence peddling. you know, stephen, you know, it's interesting to watch the the timeline change here, where the location was. they don't want to even condemn fact that having cocaine in the white house is completely inappropriate.
12:05 am
the most we've heard today was from jake sullivan saying that whoever this may be, if it's a white house staffer, could be punished. but you worked in the white house. do you take what they're saying about this story? as factual, everything they're saying raises more questions and jars more suspicion. the west wing of the white house is one of the most tightly controlled facilities on planet earth. every single human being who enters that facility has been subjected to the highest levels of screening and scrutiny. even senior white house aides who work, for example, in the eisenhower are a building that neighbors that is part of the complex, but neighbors, the west wing, do not have free and unfettered access through that entrance, which is right next to the situation room and just steps the cabinet room, steps from the national security advisors office steps ,from the oval office, and many of the most sensitive sites in the entire world. and the fact that this white
12:06 am
house cannot be consistent about where this controlled substance was found raises profound questions about what they're trying to cover up. one more point i will make briefly is that this is a national security issue. if you have any illicit substance that could smuggled so easily into the white house, what does that say about the ability of this administration to keep this country safe? and if this individual who had these drugs had access to high level state secrets, then that individual be compromised. that individual could be turned into an asset because they're committing a crime and that could be used against them to turn against united states. >> yeah, it's been amazing to watch them blow off this idea. well, if you can get cocaine into the white house, why couldn't you get something more serious that could hurt people there, including the president, into the white house? but the blame game for the cocaine continues. and i mentioned jake sullivan. he offered today a new group of suspects, despite them not
12:07 am
being named by others to go a. >> i would a point about the situation room, because i think there's been a lot of questionable reporting. this situation room is not in use and has not been in use for months because it is currently under construction. we are using an alternate room in the eisenhower executive office building, so the only people coming in and going out of the sit room in this period have been workers who are getting ready to go. >> so it sounds like he's accusing the construction workers of being the culprits here. again, they're spending so hard, but i don't know if on the fourth spend, the fifth spend, whatever it is, you know, when you've hit that point being lied to. so everything that they're saying and have been saying after the initial story of hunter working on his laptop in the library, everything since has been a lie. and they continue to lie when in fact, we know they know exactly who it is, who it was. there's no way of steven out. it's one of the most highly secured areas in the world.
12:08 am
all the cameras, all the surveillance, everybody coming in and out, they know exactly who's in there, at what time. they know who it is. they know who had the cocaine. they just don't want to admit it. and 99.99% chance that it was hunter with cocaine in the library. >> and they just don't want to admit it. well, and you remember that after hunter biden's gun got tossed into that dumpster, he blamed it on two workers who he claimed may be illegal. so is certainly a pattern of a narrative that they've had. but, you know, we're all learning. those of us who don't know much about this, more about what this actually means, the secret service has been working to find out who they are. the culprit is allegedly. but the other media outlets, including msnbc and, cnn, are seeing this as a learning opportunity for viewers when comes to what cocaine in a bag actually looks like. >> the plastic bag. it is not the size of a dime, as in the coin. dime sized is slang for what would cost $10 back in the day. so it's just a tiny plastic bag
12:09 am
with a ziploc type feature and. >> it contains cocaine. i want to show people what the size a dime bag of cocaine would look like. >> it's pretty small. so, steven, we're now into drug street. talk about what these things mean. talking the white house and what has happened there. >> yes, current spin from cnn appears to be sure there's dealing and drug trafficking and drug use inside the west wing, the white house, but it's really not that large. the quantities aren't enough to be concerned about. this raises so many questions. what is going on behind closed doors at the white house? >> what is the conduct of the people, the aides, the senior officials, the family members, the people in biden's circle that have such a casual response to the discovery of drugs? there there's there's no leaks coming out of the white house saying everyone was horrified. everyone was alarmed raised,
12:10 am
concern pointing fingers. it's just like another day at work, found drugs at the white house. no big deal. that's life in the by the white house. this tells you so about the culture of lawlessness in that building. each every day. >> oh, and quite different from what joe biden used to believe when it came to this amount of cocaine and what people should suffer in terms of prison sentences for having it. all right, ned and stephen, thank you so much for coming on tonight. we it. >> speaking of biden family controversy is hunter's attorney wrote a scathing screed to house ways and means chairman jason smith attacking the irs whistleblowers. and in it they claim whistleblower shapley leaked details of the investigation to the washington article back in october. the article detailed how federal agents believed they had sufficient evidence to charge hunter. hunter's attorney described this as an illegal leak with no evidence you that shapley was the source of the leak. that's what they allege, anyway. so his lawyers are fighting back, sending a letter to, "the washington post", demanding that they set the record straight on allegedly and defamatory statements made by hunter's
12:11 am
legal. and intimidation has become the go to plan for the hunter's team. as kim strassel of the wall street journal notes, quote, hunter biden adopted a legal strategy of threats and character assassination. the real targets of hunter lawyer, hunter's lawyer, lawyers were the whistleblowers themselves. and the letter is filled with inaccuracy and innuendo. so joining me now discuss more of this, the details is jason foster, the attorney for iris's war, gary shapley. so, jason, you know, fox had a digital reached out on wednesday to a representative for, "the washington post" asking them, you know, why are you accusing your your client of being this source of what they say is, an illegal leak and they don't want to comment on their sourcing. so what's your next of action if they won't admit that your client isn't the leaker? well, i mean, we've already taken decisive action by sending an affidavit to the ways and means committee in
12:12 am
which gary swears that it wasn't him under penalty of 1001 false statements to congress so he could be prosecuted if he's lying about that. and we've challenged "the washington post". we've released them. if you if they want to release any communications directly or indirectly with gary and anyone at "the washington post", they are free to do so too. but they're not going to do that because they want to hide behind the statement. well, we don't comment on sourcing. you know, i understand that. i understand they don't want to comment on sourcing. they don't want to start a game of process elimination and asking and answering questions about who the sources are for their for their pieces. but this is a unique situation because "the washington post", uniquely among all media, knows the truth, that what abbe lowell wrote is lie. >> so in terms of what the washington is refusing to do here, essentially they're helping the team,
12:13 am
the hunter biden team, intimidate your client by not saying that he's not the leaker . i mean, you've argued this is defamation. >> exactly. i mean, they're they're essentially their silence makes them complicit in a plan by the legal team to to plant, you know, this retaliatory accusation against folks who are blowing the whistle on on the, you know, special treatment that was given to the president's son in a criminal investigation. and anyone who works with whistle blowers and for and on behalf of whistle blowers for any period of time recognizes, this this is a common pattern. this is what always every single time. yeah. when whistleblowers come forward with evidence supporting their information and it causes for people in power, they lash out at the whistleblower. they try to the whistleblower the issue instead of the issue
12:14 am
that the whistle blower is blowing the whistle on. and here we have gary. and, you know, his credibility really doesn't even matter because he is he's brought documents and evidence and the inspectors general at the justice department and for irs will be able to get mountains more of evidence because what he's saying is true and there will be tons of corroborating evidence to back it up. so it doesn't really matter what gary shipley's credibility is, what he is accurate. there were punches pulled on the hunter biden investigation and now hunter biden's lawyers are trying to gin some kind of a criminal inquiry against the person who blew the whistle on on that preferential treatment. well and mr. shockley's claims have been corroborated by other whistleblowers as well. so his credibility is certainly been bolstered by people who have similar information about what went on here. but in terms of the legality here, i mean, it is illegal retaliation against someone
12:15 am
who is a whistleblower who has protections from congress for the whoever they're working for to lash out against them. but it seems like a tactic that the hunter biden lawyers are using in a roundabout way, to go after someone who is legally protected as a through that process. and it's not that your client's just working with republicans. you're also working with democrats in the senate to get to the bottom of what happened here. >> that's absolutely right. and it was in was gary shapley insistence from the very beginning that he would make he he's not afraid of being cross-examined by both sides. he wants to be cross-examined by both sides. he insisted that this be a bipartisan process. and that's what we've done. and even before going to congress, you know, he went to the doj inspector general, and they had been investigating this for some time before even any of this went public. so and you can see the reason that they're doing this is is just to distract, to make gary the issue instead of, you know, dealing with the issues that, you know, they're on their heels now. i mean, mr. wice, the u.s.
12:16 am
attorney in delaware recently, sent a letter up to capitol hill that, you know, essentially his tune and practically admits everything that gary has been saying, that letter that he sent up, you know, he basically says, yeah, i can't charge outside of delaware. that's exactly what gary said. i needed permission of the u.s. attorneys and in d.c. or california. and that's that's the problem that gary was blowing the whistle on. there is no reason that president biden's political appointees in those districts should have had any role anywhere near this investigation of the president's son. and they did what they and there was a sweetheart deal that was cut. and we'll see where that goes from here. certainly, there's a lot to unpack and we look forward to what your client has to say in the future. thank you so much, jason. thanks for having me. well, the media is hitting new lows this week. hard to do so. no better time to bring back our worst in media. coming up, governor mike

not aspirational, but very substantial. substantial. so i'm looking forward it. >> how far do you want to get? we want to go as far as we can a . as far as we can.r hey so what does that look like? exactly. here to help me unpack just how far thisre 1100 page report truly goes is kira davis, host of the just listen to yourself podcast. so, kira, first, i just want to read off a few of the mostoul outrageous recommendations made by the task force and gef podcat your again. they claim this is about reparations, right? they saya few oteous they wantt to to decriminalize public. they want reparations for. they want to exempt black fathers from child suppor t. defund school police, of course, and guaranteed income descendants of. t expensive, s i but what does public or child support have to do with reparations? i'm sure the public is underis o the police brutality clausbae. don't ask me about the child's poor girl. i don't know.

this reads like a list. it's like they gave a bunch of high schoolersdold in there, like debate one on one class. this is a hypothetical project like make up a list of things you would do for black people and. don't give up, don't censor yourself. and then they gave the teacherik like none of it makes sense.es i've read through most of the report. f hot air and i know a lot of people have beenpe complaining about the price tag, butople hbeen com i honesti don't see any of this goinngg through. been even gavin newsom has beenwa walking back the cash offer that the that the reparations for clearly has demanded on top of all these other concessions want cash payouts to black californians. the governors will not back now. yeah i mean they've tried to walk this back. it's amazing took this seriously at all. but the activists, despite this 11,000 page report, they just, you know, gave over ar blackey a undeterred by the costs, even though they don't know how much is goinglldespite ave over to hg

republican governor of arkansas, mike huckabee. thank you both for being here. o so let's begin with a federal judge earlier this week blocking huckabeing here biden and officials from coordinating with big tech to censor free speechorrelati. and the liberal media nearly fainted from shock. >> what this does is create everybody and declare things, is in effect, illegal before the evidence is even out. that's why think it reeksheory more of a conspiracy theory than i've than the facts. >> this judge writes 155 pages is clearly swinging from the fences, buys into this wholof swinge idea that this ise sort of vast censorship, conspiracy against, conservative voices. >> we as a society want to be th free speech.ing it's alsfreeo understandable ths as a society, want to be careful about allowing conspiracies to just grow. so, governor, i mean, shouldn't the free press be defending the first amendment and not beinhe free ending tg sent thatm the government. >> katie, this is so insane.
12:50 am
and i just love it that all the liberals are talking about conspiracy theories. i thought that's what the people on the right were supposed to be about, even though it isn't. g abou and it's just crazy that these folks have never read the constitutiont es. ople on . the government is not supposed to tell people what to think or what to say. never it's pretty simple. a simple reading of the first amendment of the constitution. not suppn should take care of that. but i wonder, did any of these folks pass ninth grade civics? and i'm convinced now. noat. did any , they didn't. and all the judge said and it was exactly right, is that you cannot have the government colluding with private the gocompanieves to stymie theh of people, even if the speech is stupid or even if it's wrong. we have a right to be stupid. we have a righg. t to be wrong. but in many cases, they didn't squelch speech. any case right, or rather that was wrong. they squelch speech, speech that turned out to be exactly right right now against the government narrative.narr right?at censor oh, completely. and it's so interesting. >>s have such a tell and it's labeling something a conspiracy theory and even they went with almost hillary
