extraordinary, but, you know, i was very productive yesterday. like, extraordinarily productive. and i don't know if that is because of the cold plunge or not. will: we have a sample size of two. i was extremely not productive yesterday. carley: inconclusive results. as opposed to -- cold plunges are are so popular right now which is one of the reasons i'm sure the producers had you guys do this. it's supposed to alleviate pain. i don't think any of you -- pete: i'm in daily pain. carley: and it's supposed to keep you from getting sore if you worked out the day before. nfl players do it all the -- will: now that you say that, i kid have a not in the back of my shoulder all week. it's not as bad. carley: there you go. will: i want one at home. they're a little expensive. pete: in the meantime, just empty out your freezer -- will: i have a friend who does that, and he got it down to 60

steps in ukraine and expanding the nato alliance to include sweden. so far their membership has been blocked by turkey, so president biden wants another to do some work there. the nato summit is the centerpiece of prude. en's 3-stop -- president biden's 3-stop european tour. the decision to do cluster bombs breaks away are if some of of the' closest allies. more than two-thirds of nato members have banned the bombs due to the risk of future civilian casualties caused by unexploded munitions that could potentially be left behind and cause major destruction long after a conflict is over. plenty of democrats in washington pushing back on that decision. president biden is expected to make the case that more needs to be done to combat russia as ukraine runs low on ammunition. and yesterday poland movedded a thousand troops to the eastern side of the country, the presence of the wagner group in belarus has prompted fears for that nato member nation that

trips. we've had our national security adviser, our secretary of state and now the treasury secretary beg for meetings, get them grudgingly in china, accomplish nothing and now the administration is doing in with biden himself. they're begging for a meeting with biden just for the sake of diplomacy, looking like diplomacy. carley: that's an example of how the biden administration presents themselves on the world stage. china is the one that's engaging in belligerence and irresponsible conduct, and yet our treasury secretary is the one i bowing to him, her economic counterpart. she also verbally bowed down to china when she said that the united states will not and should not decouple economically from china. she is so wrong about that. the united states should not depend on a country that china views as an enemy. and they've only escalated tensions and aggression in recent days. do you remember the chinese spy balloon, the spy base in cuba just 100 miles off the coast of florida? and also fentanyl pouring into

vegas. it is a campaign recruitment event, they're trying to bring in foot soldiers for the get out the vote effort there in nevada for the primary. i remember when president trump first attacked ron desantis, he was at the height of his popularity, and it looked like it might backlash. how are you going to attack a guy that's so popular with the republican base, but his -- this is a guy whose political instincts have been really, really good for a really long time. carley: to your point, the real clear politics average of polling has trump at a 53, ron desantis at 20 and in third place, mike pence at 6. it's still early on, but right now it is donald trump's race and everyone else is just living in it. will: donald trump explained why he's going after ron desantis. help me understand why someone like california governor gavin newsom is going after ron desantis so vigorously. help me understand that. that's e in context of this, he's now going after casey desantis.

carley: his wife. will: governor newsom's wife is going after ron desantis' wife for this, she's launched the new national moms for desantis in iowa last week. >> it's one thing when your policies come after us as mamas, it's another thing when your policies come after our children, and that's when the claws come out. pete: so that's, i mean, the desantis campaign knows that she's a real asset, and so she went to iowa to launch this with governor reynolds who has said she won't endorse in this particular race. but to mobilize, you know, republican female voters, male voters on an issue that really matters to republican voters right now which is parental choice in education and getting all the nonsense that's in the classroom out. well, governor newsom's wife didn't miss if an opportunity to attack her for that. and this is sort of an example of how we talk past each other completely. this is jennifer cycle newsom

tweeting this: we will not allow extremists to vilify entire communities to advance their fear-mongering aagenda. when you come after our kids and communities, we fight back. in the face of hate, we are united. so governor newsom's wife is saying you are coming after the kids because you don't want to trans the kids or do crt, and casey desantis is saying you're coming after the kids because you're doing the radical sex stuff -- carley: yeah. and to will's point, you have governor gavin newsom who's saying definitively i'm not running for president, and yet he's attacking governor ron desantis. and then you have their wives going after each other, at least casey desantis -- i'm sorry, jennifer newsom going after casey desantis. the question is, is this a this-round race or is it going to be 2028? will: i don't know. i'm trying to figure out what the strategy is. i meaning, surely you're not laying the groundwork for 2028?

carley: now? will: no. newsom's strategy is really interesting in going after desantis. he does not go after trump even when provided the opportunity by sean hannity -- carley: he complimented him. well. will: he did not go after trump. carley: i think it's political. pete: classic shadow campaign of no sense of when it'll manifest. going after -- why go after trump which is going to lead to, you know, tactical nuclear weapons being lobbed your way. just go after desantis who's seen as one of the front-runners, maybe a future of the republican party. carley: i love that photo of governor newsom looking real comfortable, taking off the jacket at the white house. the truth is in the numbers. people are fleeing california for florida not because of the weather, they both have good weather, it's because of the politics. florida gained over 600,000 residents, 871,000 people have left california.

pete: by the way, to your point, will, also there are rumors that some inside the desantis camp are looking for ap an exit ramp. they're just rumors in washington. if he did that in the right way and endorsed trump, if that were to happen, that sets him and newsom up for 2028 in a strong way. will: it's a long ways away. pete: i'm trying to think through the calculation. carley: a scooter-riding gunman shoots a new york city in broad daylight killing an elderly man and shirting three -- hurting three other people. the shooting took place across queens and brooklyn, and the attacks appeared to be random. officer ors were able to arrest him less than two hours later recovering a pistol with, e tended magazines. they have not released the name of the suspect. newly-release video shows an armed robber hold up an arizona toy store in the middle of the day with terrified children inside. the footage shows the suspect

they could decide to change their minds later and end up turning on us. so i wouldn't want us to slide into a state where we become very dependent on them. we're already kind of moving in that direction. for example, one of the robots was given some rights a few years ago by saudi arabia, it gave them citizenship. so i don't think we should be giving them more and more power and more decision making ability because they can be dishonest. will: the question is, is there some kind of middle ground, right? these robots run on a.i., an ability to self-learn. the question is, can we program limitations? and as their the intelligence exceeds our own, and every projection is they'll be able to exceed human intelligence in the not too far distant future, how do we we find a middle ground? how do you control this thing? because if you can't, it's not hard to get to dystopia. >> yeah, that's right. for example just last week, openai mentioned on their site that they think we might get an a.i. that is vastly martyr --

smarter than humanity this decade. so i think it's important that we figure out how to make sure that they don't lie to us. it's very difficult to have a lie detector for these things, and they have lied to us in the past. for example, facebook built a bot that plays the game diplomacy. diplomacy was henry kissingier's favorite war with strategy game. the idea is to try and take over places or take over regions in europe. and, basically, the bot lied to humans. humans were playing against it, and they didn't know that they were playing against it. when they're playing against the bot, it was slow during one of the times x they asked it, why are you so slow? and it responded, oh, sorry, i'm on the phone with my girlfriend. that's why i'm being so slow. later on in the game it back stabbed people. it was making alliances with people, and it decided toward the end of the game to back stab them. so it's perfectly possible to engage in deception. i think we're going to need to

carley: it's been recited by christians all over the world for 2,000 year, but now an anglican archbishop is taking issue with the words our father in the lord's prayer. in his opening address, the archbishop of york argues, quote, the word father is problematic for those whose experience with earthly fathers have been destructive and abuse withive and for all of us have laboredded rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life. theologian and fox news contributor jonathan morris is here to react. what ises your response to this? >> hey, listen, some things in theology, right, theology is the study of god, some things in theology are harder, right? and it's good to have debate. some things in theology are quite simple. and this is one of them.

why do i say that? well, the disciples were questioning how should they pray, and so they asked. so if you're a christian, is god. and so when you ask him a question, the answer is, oh, now i have the answer. so they asked him when we pray, hushed we pray? and -- how should we pray? and jesus responded, when you pray, pray like this. and then he said, our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. carley: exactly. >> so it's pretty simple. carley: feels like this one shouldn't be up for debate. but there's other things that are happening in the church of england as well. they opened up a project on gender language are, and they're considering doing away with the he/him pronouns referring to god. so the wording that's been around for literally thousands of years, they're trying to change to make god gender-neutral. why? >> yeah. well, let's be fair, i think their explanation would be -- carley: a religious one. >> until be a religious, theological explanation saying

god, the father, is -- does not have a human body, so there's no gender to god, the father, in the same way that we have a gender, right? jesus has a gender, he was a man. god, the father, is a spirit. so that's their argument. but as soon as you start saying we know better than the bible, we're going to take out parts of the bible, we're going to change the words of himself, what are you not willing to change then? so i think there's -- i think that's a great point, carley. as soon as you start changing something as clear as what the words that jesus actually said, you will end up saying we can throw it all out -- carley: the archbishop of york took issue with the our father at this meeting, and someone else responded saying is the archbishop of york saying jesus was wrong, similar to your point, or that jesus was not pastorally aware? it seems to be emblematic of the
