could lead to more corruption. >> reporter: you never know exactly what you're going to get get with these teases, but congressman comer believes the committee will find the alleged evidence needed to confirm ties between the biden family and criminal for-profit overseas ventures. more specifically, comer feels banking records will link to an fbi1023 form that a alleged that then-vice president joe bide season and a foreign national were involved in a bribery scheme. for years the house oversight committee's been investigating hunter biden's use of his family name in foreign business dealings mainly in china. to congressman comer said this week that more findings will be revealed. >> we're going to have an announcement hopefully next week, more findings, more disturbing findings that we've found. bank records don't lie. people make a big issue out of taxes. if people -- people cheat on their taxes all the time, but it's hard to cheat on bank

the united states with look weak on the world stage. and this is -- she does it in body by bowing physically, and i also think that she bows down with her own words when she talks about how she doesn't think the united states should decouple from china economically. >> china's growth has lifted hundreds of millions out of poverty and made clear that the united states is not seeking to decouple from china. there is an important distinction between decoupling on the one hand and, on the other hand, diversifying critical supply chains or taking target national security actions. we know the decoupling of the world's two large economies would be disastrous for both countries and destabilizing for the world. and it would be with virtually

impossible to undertake. carley: wow. pete: mao would say the same thing, that he lifted hundreds of millions out of china, took a few tens of millions to die to do it. carley: yeah. and it's also interesting that this is the line from the biden administration that they don't want to decouple from china economically. i understand that we have serious ties to them. our economies are intertwined. that's the problem though, is that we should be working to move away are from that, build an america -- our pharmaceuticals, a lot of them are made in china, everything down to our bullets, and that needs to be something we need to look into and stop doing. will: what stood out to me is a different statement she made where she projected a version of the future that this doesn't have to be a zero sum game. it doesn't have to be china or the united states, but it can be china and the united states which is very happy, "kumbaya" talk, and one could even argue it's an appropriate ideal with. the problem is it's not a shared ideal. if you operate with that vision in mind and they operate in the

vision of dominance, you will be dominated. pete: it's a wonderful point, yep. and they know that there are globalists coming in wanting to talk about things they don't care about, and they take advantage of that to advance their interests. carley: yeah. there's also no country that presents a greater threat to our intellectual property in terms of stealing our own ideas. so i really hope that she was over there talking to them about that. but even if she did, that part's not going to stop and needs to. pete: well, here's another story this morning, similar, kind of. movie we almost got, you know, they wanted that girl boss, and here's the quote from diablo cody. i didn't really have the freedom then to write something that was faithful to the iconography. they wanted a girl boss-feminist twist odd barr -- on barbie, and i couldn't figure it out because that's not what barbie is. carrie: barbie's about hair, makeup and the dream house. this movie isn't out yet, so we don't know what direction it went. so kate mckinnon is a former snl cast member, she's in the movie, and she talked about it. it's a little political in the sound bite, listen to what she sad to -- had to say about why she sign on. >> i knew it was going to be something, and i read it and it was, like, about sort of about how, like, gender roles deny people half their humanity and how, like, we need to just, like, be ourselves.

pete: i'm having a little trouble with that quote, what she means. will: i mean, i don't -- we haven't seen the movie, and she's talking about expanding gender roles, and if you're trapped inside traditional gender roles, which barbie, as the point is being made, historically would have been a very feminist, traditional version of a gender role. i think kate mckinnon is saying you're denying half of your own potential humanity. pete: that's true. but the next part of the season, she's probably not meaning this, and how we like to -- we need to just be ourselves. maybe being yourself is just being a female or a male and embracing -- carley: this is a weird one to me because i think it's for adults. it's interesting, because it's the barbie movie. of. will: i don't know if kate mckinnon saying this, but there are varying images and prototypes and options for women to be women.

there is all kinds of versions of femininity. we are living in an age though which this is so so counterintuitive, but it's actually the truth. if you vary, i guess, from a traditional vision of femininity, you're being considered to -- encouraged to consider you are, in fact, a man. pete: yeah. will: in a lot of ways, the trans movement has reinforced the narrow vision of femininity on both sides of the spectrumming because it's saying to women, hey, if you're not these things, maybe you're not a woman. and it's also saying to men if you want to be a woman or, you put on the trappings of the traditional vision of a woman. pete: dylan mulvaney. will: yeah. you're not looking at trans women walking around with flannels and timberlands on. you're looking at trans women dressing as a barbie. pete: it's true. carley: there are also geopolitical concerns over this movie, if you can believe it. i'm taking this from i think it was a foxnews.com article, the

nonmovie -- carley: it's not political. it deals with child human sex trafficking. how could that be a partisan message? pete: it shouldn't be at awe. good for them. can. carley: all right, we have some more news. turning to your headlines, a massive manhunt is still underway after a man suspected of murder escapes a jail in pennsylvania. police say michael burham cape caped through a jail roof after making a rope out of his bed sheets. he is a self-taught survivalist and warned he is very dangerous if likely holed up in a wooded area. he is suspected in the murder of a 34-year-old woman in may and is facing a slew of other charges. police in san antonio say the shooting death of two robbers at an atm was an act of self-defense. they say a man tried to use a chase bank atm when two people allegedly drove up to him to rob him. officers say he pulled his gun and fired killing both of them. here's what the chief of police

pete: planned parenthood in minnesota wants to pay teens as young as 13, they're paying them, to attend sex ed summer camps. the smore sex education camp was advertised to kids 13-15 who haven't had their first day of high school. that camp in the twin cities area was since canceled, they couldn't get enough kids to sign up. but older teens, 15-18, in mankato that sign up for the sex ed summer camp is still up, and those who complete the program will receive a $150 # gift card. our next guest is a minnesota mom of six and home educator, karen joins us now to react. karen, thanks for being here. by the way, s'mores invoke ises, you know, feelings of a summer, you know, fire, you know? s'mores. no, it actually means

science-based, medically-accurate, open-minded responsible sex education. it's encouraging to see that one didn't have any demand in minneapolis, but there still is a camp in mankato for kids for hours a day on sex ed. what do you make of this? >> yes. well, first of all, i wanted to say, you know, people might wonder why i as a home school mom care about which and really beyond caring for my own children, i do care passionately about the well-being of all children in the generation my kids are growing up alongside. although families across our nation have a wide view when it comes to sexuality, i think most families and most parents would firmly agree we don't want people sexualizing our children. and that's exactly what this camp will do. it's essentially planned parenthood's comprehensive sex education agenda which they've try the mandate for many years through the minnesota legislature. as i've done some research, here are my top three concerns and primary dangers of this sort of instruction. first of all, it it breaks down

kids' natural inhibitions, the natural barriers they have that protect them from predators. secondly, it grooms and conditions them to be sexually active at a very young age -- pete: absolutely. >> -- which essentially guarantees they will be lifelong customers of plan parenthood. and thirdly, i think it's critical for parents to know that this camp teaches very explicit instruction in how to perform oral sex, anal sex and vaginal sex. pete: staggering. it's 30 hours -- >> it is. pete: by the way, they're giving out free lunch, you don't have to pay to go, can and they give you a gift card, so they're effectively luring families to say, hey, we want 30 hours with your kid to talk about sex. here's, the camp that was canceled, here's what they said about it, by the way, the s'mores summer camp. thank you so much for your interest in smore summer camp, unfortunately, we were not successful in recruiting enough 13-year-olds to run the camp,

participants that run the camp and are making the difficult decision to cancel this summer. so they couldn't get enough adults to run the camp and, therefore, 13-year-olds won't be trapped. it's -- this is something though that is happening in our schools, they just now want it to happen in the summer as well. >> yes. i think they're just trying to get at kids any way they can, and it's extremely disturbing that they're incentivizing this, you know, with money. i think it's a very fine line between giving a teen financial incentive to talk about sexual activity and role play things regarding it versus crossing the line to actually physically performing that activity and getting paid for doing it. so in this way, i think this really feeds directly into conditioning kids for sex trafficking which is horrific. and i think we have to put that in the global context of, you know, this crisis we have with child sex trafficking. i know just earlier in the show the movie sound of freedom was

mentioned, and i have to encourage everyone to see that. i think this is a direct correlation between sex education and -- i learned that the u.s. is one of the highest consumers of child sex, and we need to be protecting our kids, not conditioning them to be vulnerable to that. pete: thanks for being so clear-eyed on this. we also covered this in the miseducation of america, sex ed at its earliest beginnings was about a breaking down the innocence of children which opens the door to so many other things. karen, thank you so much. >> your welcome. -- you're welcome. thank you, it was an honor. pete: my honor as well. by the way, we reached out to plan participated hood for a statement but did not hear back. that they're too busy planning summer sex camps for 13-year-olds. the -- still ahead, nancy grace on the possibility of parole for a manson family killer.

carley: california governor gavin new. >> says he will no longer block parole for a suspect behind one of america's most notorious murder sprees. leslie van houten has served 53 years of a life sentence for her role in the 1969 murders of two people. fox nation host nancy grace is here to react to that. nancy, good morning to you. it's great to see you. the question is, should this woman be getting out of prison in. >> she should absolutely not be released. you know, there are some crimes from which there's really no coming back. this is one of those crimes. now, when you look at her now, she looks like a bespectacled librarian, but that is not how she looked back in 969 when she took part in the murders of of

the labianca family including leno and rosemary. now, the two of them were picked at random by the manson family and brutally stabbed. she admits at testimony to the courts that leslie van houten held down rosemary who had a pillow case over her head and stabbed her 16 times out of about 40 stab wounds. in fact, a co-defendant testified that the more van houten stabbed rose mar arely, the more, quote, fun she had doing it. now, that's a crime from which there's no return. and i'm very disappointed in somehow in -- newsom for not trying to block this more. he is refusing to ask the california supreme court to reverse a lower court decision. carley: yeah. but, nancy, i want to ask you -- >> because of politics. carley: yeah. i was wondering why because he has repeatedly tried to keep her behind bars. he denied her parole several times but finally gave up before

it could have gone to the state supreme court. why do you think he changed his mind? >> i think like many politicians he does what suits him at the time. which helps him obtain that which he wants. in the past he has blocked her getting out, now he's giving up and saying, well, i don't think the supreme court's going to go along with me blocking her release. why not find out? why not try and find out? why give up now? because i guess the political winds have shifted so, therefore, he's dropping the fight. carley: well, van houten's lawyer says she's been in therapy and rehab for years and says there's no evidence, there's nothing in her current record that shows she's dangerous. she's an elderly woman, she's really quite sweet. what's to your response to that? >> okay, now, you've got to consider the source, what you expect her lawyer to say. but the reality is that the victims' families, the labianca family and the tate family, sharon tate -- now, she's not charged with murdering

sharon tate who was pregnant at the time she was murdered, but they don't want this release. and i want to remind everyone that rosemary labianca's blood was smeared on the wall saying death to pigs and helter-skelter, trying to incite a race war. that's what they were trying to do. and we are letting her walk free. as long as the victims' families say no, that should be respected. carley: that's right. her lawyer also said that she is thrilled by the fact that she could be getting out very soon. imagine being a member of one of the victims' families and hearing that their loved one's murder murderer is trillioned by this outcome -- thrilled. >> i know what it feels like to have a loved one's killer walk free. they enjoy life while the one you love the most is dead. and there's no way to appease the victims in this case, especially by letting her walk free.

here to deliver his thoughts, economist jon three land. john, great to see you this morning. already a $15 minimum wage in new york city, raising this up to almost $18, what does that look like for everyone trying to order food for delivery? >> well, obviously, the cost of this is going to be borne by somebody. it's just a question of whether that cost is borne by the customers in the form of higher prices or whether the business faces the cost in the form of lower profits. and, of course, the profits get so low, the business may choose just not to provide the service at all. and in this case, a business like grubhub can pass the cost on to the food providers who in many cases are these mom and pop operations, deli, pizzerias, what not, the kind of thing that new york is famous for. but again, all that does is just punt the decision back onto them. do they pass pa -- pass the costs on to their customers or swallow it in terms of lower

profits in which case, again, they may choose they just won't provide the service at all. will: uber's saying the city is lie dog delivery workers. they want -- lying to delivery workers, they want apps to fund this increase while forcing remaining workers to deliver orders faster. you know, i already, i do this often, i order food for delivery. the number of surcharges is getting really high. the delivery charge, there's other ones you can't quite parse, service fees and then, of course, taxes and tips on top of it. by the time you're done, you're looking at an extra 30% on top of what your food price was, easy you're up to that level. i've got to think at some point this has a real inhibiting factor on the whole idea of door delivery food. >> well, it does, absolutely. in actual fact, in my home tate of minnesota in the last session, a bill was passed to do

something very similar to this for businesses like uber and lyft, and the bill was actually so crazy that our governor vetoed it. tim waltz is nobody's idea of a moderate, but this bill was too crazy for him. and during the debates on that bill, uber did actually say if this legislation went through, they would simply cease operating in the state of minnesota. i mean, this is, you know, serious stuff. it does have an effect. will: and eric add adams is saying that our delivery workers have consistently delivered for us, now we are delivering for them. well, we'll see if that's the case, if there's fewer of the delivery workers, fewer of the businesses, fewer of the delivery services, the ubers, the doordashes to go with into business delivering food and, thus, fewer jobs for these delivery workers. it's certain -- it will certainly have that depressing effect at some point. john, we appreciate you being with us, thank you. >> thank you. will: pete, over to you.

plains behind this front that's moving through bringing severe weather across parts of oklahoma. flash flood warnings in effect in oklahoma city because we saw 3-4 inches fall in a short amount of time, also a lot of power outages. you see that line of storms moving across parts of north texas, maybe to the dallas area in the next couple hours. as the day heats up, it is really humid across much of the east, the sun, the heat, the humidity is all going to make for the threat for severe weather today, maybe a tornado threat. certainly some very strong winds, maybe some hail. today we're going to get some rain, we're going to get a lot more over the next couple of days, some spots up to 5 inches. because of that, we're looking at a significant flooding threat, in fact, a likely chance, very likely chance of flooding. anywhere you see that yellow across the northeast today, tomorrow it's across parts of new england, so just be prepared for. that we had been talking about maybe a bigger tuesday rainstorm, i think the trend is away from that. so that would be good news. one other story we're going to

pitch in on the fun. carley: here to show us how to have a fun backyard campout is lee. good to see you. what you doing? >> all right. first up, set the scene. if you have little kids, you want to do something in the backyard, what you want to do is make a safe fire pit. i actually just took some tissue paper, some string line with the styrofoam dome. really fun, really easy. now, if you are actually camping, i know that making a fire is actually really difficult, so take an ec carton, put some coals inside and you can actually put it onto, like -- pete: good idea. >> you know, one of those long lighters. so if you are actually camping and you want to build a fire, it's an easy way to do it. carley: amazing. what's next in. >> all right. so you want to make sure you're not using as many utensils because it is kind of annoying to clean up. so get squeeze bottle condiments, but i like to
