from washington for us. >> reporter: president biden will meet with king charles tomorrow, that's for the first time since the coronation. the two are expected to call about climate, finance, policy. from there the focus will shift as the president and u.k. prime minister will head to lithuania for the nato summit. this will be the center dis' piece forpresident biden's stopn europe. he will explain and stand by his controversial decision to supply ukraine with clutter bombs, which breaks away from some of the closest allies, 120 countries, two thirds of nato number nations banned the use of cluster bombs due to the risk they pose to civilians, unexploded munitions could be left behind and cause harm long after a conflict is over. despite opposition from several democrats in washington, president biden said ukraine needed the bombs. they are running low on amunition in their defense against russia. as for ukraine's long sought entry into nato, president biden

remains reluctant to grant what see as a risky request but during this week's meeting president biden is likely to make the case for sweden's entry and will lobby turkey's president to reverse his decision on that, he's been blocking the move. president biden is going to end the trip in helsinki, welcoming finland to the allowance. overall the trip is aimed at making sure that nato nations are all on the same page, guys. carley: alexandria live in washington, thank you so much. so president biden is going to lilithuania for the summit. janet yellen is getting back from a few days in china where she was tasked with strengthening our economic ties with china. they talked about the war if ukraine, climate change, as well. it's one moment in particular that's getting a lot of attention. you're seeing it on the screen right now. it shows her bowing to her chinese counterpart. this is seen as a break in protocol. it's getting a lot of scrutiny.

grade, obtain parental permission and i'm on the website right now. if you dig deeper, some of the things that you can expect at this camp according to the website is sex ed that is medically accurate, lgbtqia plus inclusive and sex positive. the website also says what not to expect at this camp is faith-based instruction. it's called the smores planned parenthood camp. >> it's called the smores camp. you think of smores, where's my hershey's chocolate and gram crackers. it's a camp for open minded responsible sex education hosted by planned parenthood north central states, campers learn sex ed in a brave, creative, collaborative environment and take on week long responsibility to share information with their

18-year-olds. that's still happening. carley: you won't learn how to build a camp fire or make charm bracelets. no, no, no. you're going to learn about sexual orientation, gender identity roles, consent, birth control methods, pregnancy options, sexually transmitted infections and the barrier methods for 13 to 15-year-olds. you do need parental consent. one parent said absolutely not, you're not doing this. you spoke to her. listen to how she summed up the situation. >> we don't want people sexualizing our children. that's exactly what this camp will do. it's essentially planned parenthood's comprehensive sex education agenda which they tried to mandated for many years through the minnesota legislator. it breaks down kids' natural inhibitions, the natural barriers they have that protect them from predators.

secondly, it grooms and conditions them to be sexually active at a very young age which essentially guarantees they'll be lifelong customers of parenthood. >> that's exactly right. when we did the miseducation of america, did two episodes about sex ed and gender theory, planned parenthood from the beginning has been the driver of sex education in schools. so we think of it as an abortion clinic. they see it as a long-term sexualization project of kids. the people that created sex ed originally were perverts and pedophiles. i'm not saying that hyper bolically. we thought of it as this innocent, safe sex, avoid stds, that's what i had when going through sex ed in junior high or whatever, it's become a radical way to shape the way kids see sexuality today. now they're trying to push it

police involved shooting death of a 17-year-old, lawmakers now considering extreme surveillance measures to combat the unrest to monitor criminal suspects using their own devices. many criticize it as an authoritarian move. the next guest says it won't help much. before we get into the surveillance side of this, what is your analysis of what is happening in france? how did it turn into this horrific rioting and violence? >> it's been happening for years, for years and years, the suburbs of the big cities where huge recent immigrant populations have settled, where living standards are in decline and where total separation from the rest of france has left these isolated communities as hot beds of crime and violence and every night there are hundreds of cars torched. many areas have been no go zones

for a long while. >> is that a two way street, the inability to integrate the communities into france? in other words, it's -- i don't know how recent. some are a couple generations, i believe, immigrant populations who maintained their original country of origin identities and cultures and communities but also the french culture, not exactly opening its arms with their sense of cultural superiority in many situations. is it a two-way street that the separation has been maintained? >> that may very well be true and there may well be large elements of french society who don't like to see demographic changes of this scale but the point is, nobody ever asked them. nobody ever asked them whether they wanted to see massive changes in their cities. i'm not making a defense for discrimination. i'm explaining why there's unhappiness on both sides. the real problem i think is religion, that's what this really comes down to and one of the reasons those riots were so

terrifying is it was predominantly the muslim population rioting on the streets, saying we are not getting a just deal. i'm not underplaying for a minute how serious this is and how worrying the long-term future is. >> the reason i ask this question, i find this fascinating and complicated, we don't see similar problems in the u.k. to this gofundme degre-- to this degree or in gey as it happening in france to make this an outlier. i'm concerned as well about the surveillance. the way it happens is you bring these in when it's an emergency situation and then the emergency goes away but the surveillance never goes away and they can use microphones and cameras to look into whoever they identify as the bad guy. >> government gets bigger and bigger and this is an opportunity to seize more power. london is the most surveilled city outside of china,
