12:00 am

12:01 am
we'll be able to bridge that gap that is obviously impending . >> would you like me to find you a therapist? now there are several existing in your audience right now, but shawn is a doctor here tonight. >> yes, i understand that. >> i can't wait to see you in the studio soon in new york. all right. and we love all of you. and thank you so much, shawn. awesome show. i laura ingram. >> this is the "ingraham angle" from washington tonight. >> the war against common sense. that's the focus of tonight's angle now you know that safety announcement that the airlines always make before you take off the pressure changes oxygen masks will drop from the panels above seat. >> be sure to adjust your own mask before helping others. >> well, clearly, that thinking doesn't apply to biden's foreign policy crew. >> you know, we all watch the house do nothing as the war against america kills more than 100,000 every year.
12:02 am
>> and the dhs knows who's responsible. china is the source of most of the precursor chemicals required for fentanyl production. a cartel associate brokers the sale and shipment of fentanyl chemicals from china to clandestine labs mexico, where the fentanyl is manufactured. >> but despite this, the administration refuses to do what's necessary to stop the flow of drugs and their mules to bring them across at the border. >> but there are borders that our president is laser focused ,enforcing the borders of another country just 5000 miles away. >> we will not waver. we will not waver. i mean, our commitment to ukraine will not weaken. >> well, we will not waver. those nice words. but the truth is, presidents from lyndon johnson to george w bush have seen that the public eventually against endless, ill defined wars, eventually
12:03 am
the people's patience runs out and the money dries up. >> remember what happened in the 26, 20, 26 midterms when voters began to develop a deep inning and hardening opposition to the war in iraq? now, this sentiment only grew, and two years later it helped elect antiwar democrat barack obama to the presidency. and then eight years later, donald won the presidency as the only gop candidate call out the decision making behind the iraq war. >> obviously, the war in iraq was a big factor. we should have never been in iraq. we have destabilized the middle east. >> but now, years later, we seem to have forgotten what we should have learned long ago. while we don't have american soldiers, of course, deployed in ukraine, the american taxpayers are once left holding the bag as ordinary people struggle, make ends meet here at home. >> now, today the tab is what,
12:04 am
about 115 billion? >> and all we have to show for it is a depleted us munitions stockpile and major ukrainian cities ruin which are updated. >> president zelenskyy you on how their counter offensive is going. well, i'm not at liberty give you the detail of that, but it's we talked at length about it with all us military people within there and there are still optimistic, but they know it's a hard slog, a hard. now, a few months ago, we were told ukrainian counter-offensive would break putin's troops, but we're sending cluster bombs to help them break through. well, at this point, we've come to a parting the ways, haven't we? >> most of us, i think, want our to do what's best for america first. >> it usually ends up with peace through strength. but and his donors view
12:05 am
themselves first and foremost as members of the global community. i believe one of our defining missions is to uphold the international rules based order basic principles, basic rights, and a rules based international order. none of us can ignore the threat to the rules based international order. >> well, and biden is far more worried about volodymyr zelenskyy than he is about any of you. >> our unity will not falter. and one thing zelenskyy understands now is that whether or not he's in nato now is not relevant. long as he has commitment now, the administration caters to zelenskyy and throws crumbs to the rest of us. so the question republicans now have to confront is why should
12:06 am
we continue to tax hardworking americans to try to protect freedom in ukraine when our own treasury department is working with the chinese to undermine america? >> i've met with premier li, vice premier hood, finance minister of the people's bank of china, head pan and other senior officials. these conversations direct, substantive and productive, productive for home american factory workers. >> i don't think so. >> now biden's donors and plenty gop senators are adamant, though, that we offend china, despite the fact that they're trying to undermine us every continent. >> and yet, where? bowing down to them. now, none of this makes any sense. >> 78 years after the end of world war two, for americans to
12:07 am
still be carrying the lion's the burden to defend europe. now consider how many hours every single year our citizens work versus the citizens of other g7 work. >> now, in france. well, think about this. they work 1500 and so hours a year in germany, just 1340 hours per year. but here in america, we work 1810 hours every year. >> now, how can these other countries afford to have guaranteed weeks off every august? >> now, how do europeans get away with paying less than 2% of their gdp on the feds? well, i'll tell you. why? because we pay for 3% out of our gdp for our military. now, of course, the euro snobs were enraged. >> remember when trump called them all out for slacking on their military expenditures?
12:08 am
>> but he was 100% right. how often is biden, for instance, called gregg, the governor of texas, who is clearly dealing with the worst of the border crisis and spoken at any time like this to him? >> i'm going to make sure that you get what you need. thank you for what you're doing and bad news for you is we're not going anywhere. >> you're stuck. now, no wonder trust in government at an all time low. the great protectors of democracy have destroyed that trust. so how can we rebuild faith in the. that's supposed to be a government of the people by people and for the people? well, first, i think it's time for americans to realize that we have to protect ourselves from cartels. that means enforce the border. you know, all of this is a complete nightmare. and second, forget derisk being from china. >> we need to decouple from china because a real superpower
12:09 am
doesn't help make its top adversary stronger economically. >> it wants to defeat it. and third, isn't it time for europe to be more self-reliant ? >> it's time to end the freeloading era. and fourth, let's return the military to its original mission, defending what the american flag stands for, not the alphabet flag of radicalism. >> and fifth, we need a total revamping of our federal law enforcement and our intel agencies. >> we need to threaten to strip away all but the bare bones funding of these agencies until every last political activist is removed from the ranks. now, on that last subject, there were some fireworks on capitol hill today. americans have seen the fbi's richmond field office put together a memorandum saying pro-life catholics are extremist. i hope they will work with us
12:10 am
in the appropriations process to stop the weaponization of the government against the american people. fbi leaders reflect the best of our organization, an organization that is made up of 38,000 men and women who are patriots, professionals and dedicated public servants. and the idea i'm biased against conservatives seems somewhat insane to me. >> well, sorry, chris, but that's not a defense. we have evidence dating back a year showing that top of the fbi and the cia plotted against donald trump abusing the fisa process and then mounds of exculpatory evidence. >> why did they do any of that ? >> so until we elect a president who will change the sad status quo, it makes absolutely no sense to continue to blow our tax dollars on the pentagon, the state department or the intel community. now, the past presidents like truman or eisenhower, a jfk,
12:11 am
reagan, they did a pretty good job, didn't they, of convincing the american people that they could actually trust their government. >> but now that trust has been lost and reflecting and reelecting biden will only make a bad situation worse. >> so it's time for liberals who bemoan the growing public discontent with the government. >> it's time for them to look in the mirror. >> conservative cable hosts didn't politicize the fbi or hide the truth about hunter biden. your people did. >> and that's the angle. >> very honored to have this chance to meet. and we had great conversations and we'll have a lot of important topics to today. i was very disappointed i couldn't come during these last four years. and so it's very exciting to be back. >> now that was bill gates less than a month ago visiting his good pals, sean penn.
12:12 am
>> now, she apparently returned the favor by using company that he founded. of course, gates founded microsoft to launch a cyber attack against the u.s.. now, despite the fed spending, what, 15.6 billion on cybersecurity more than the gdp of nearly, what, 75 countries, chinese cyber spies were able to exploit a fundamental gap. microsoft's cloud enabling them to hack email at the state department and other agencies. but this really should come as no surprise because microsoft has had a really symbiotic relationship with china for years now. as forbes noted in a recent piece, in 2014, microsoft became the first foreign company to offer public cloud computing services in chinese market. and in march of this year, they would begin offering open
12:13 am
ai as part of its cloud services. and get this, microsoft gave the chinese government access to the source code for its windows operating. >> that happened back in march of two thousand and three. >> joining me now, senator tom cotton sits on the senate intel and armed services committee. senator. our government relies on these tech companies for its communications. and of course, these tech companies rely on china for money. >> how is this a sustainable relationship, senator? well, it's not a relationship we should be in with chinese communist or that some of our leading companies should be. and as you said in the opening, this goes back decades of failures of trying integrate our economy with china's. and you just saw the spectacle of the secretary of treasury going to china and kowtowing and saying that people like
12:14 am
you and i are wrong when we say that we should decouple from china's economy so we could eliminate all the threats they pose to our safety and health, our prosperity. so i think microsoft has some answers to provide here. you know, the reporting i've seen suggests that you couldn't access these accounts in the government just like an individual key. but it would take something the equivalent, what you might call a master key, and that should have been secure at microsoft. and how did chinese communist get their hands on that? but also a broader point here that goes beyond microsoft and it goes to our government. joe biden in particular, he continues to try to accommodate ,conciliate and appease with jinping, the chinese communists. so we shouldn't be surprised that they continue to take these provocative steps. three months ago, sending a balloon to float over china. now it's hacking into the state department. what do we see? a continue flow of senior administration officials like the secretary of treasury? and soon it's going to be john kerry talking about climate change, going to china to plead with china to help
12:15 am
joe biden fulfill his goals. we shouldn't be surprised. they're continuing to taking more aggressive, provocative actions against us and our friends. >> now, senator cotton, without republican votes the pentagon not continue doing what the pentagon does and all love our military. that goes without saying. but given the fact our government is clearly working to enrich china and grow the chinese economy, how do we keep asking taxpayers to fund this pentagon at this level? >> we're certainly not acting like a superpower when china is about to build this base in cuba. and we apparently have nothing to say about it. so how do we ask the taxpayers in good faith to keep forking the money? >> well, laura, what we need to do, the congress and what i'm trying to do with others, make sure that we're funding the right things in the pentagon, the right kind of weapon systems or troop levels that are going to help deter china and deter their aggression, whether
12:16 am
more submarines or modernizing our nuclear forces or making sure that our bases in the western pacific are secure . china's chinese attacks. what we shouldn't be doing is funding the lapse and the biden administration's politicization of our military, both in the senate and the house. we've taken some steps to try to stop that. i hope we're going to continue to do more in the weeks ahead as we consider the legislation in the congress. but we need to be funding the right things that are going to help our troops deter chinese aggression against america's interests. senator, can i ask this of senator schmidt of missouri last night? i'm going to ask you the same question. do you think the military has become a hostile work environment to people of strong catholics, muslims, jewish americans? given the radical turn on racial and gender indoctrination so far, i've heard anecdotes about that. some of them coming, people with whom i served, you know, 15 or almost 20 years
12:17 am
ago, i guess. i don't think it's necessarily pervasive, especially on the front lines in the company and the battalions and their vaids. but clearly, at the higher levels you have civilian political appointees who are very ideological, who are trying to take steps to politicize the military and socially engineer it, that we should not ever do with our military because. but, senator, i don't mean to interrupt you, but do you think, a devout catholic, would be elevated to become a general in today's military. like a very, you know, outwardly devout catholic and this administration would be elevated to the level i do, laura. and i think that's the case, you know chapel as well i don't i don't doubt though that there are some ideologues the pentagon who are not just focused on religion, they're focused race, they're focused on sexuality. they're not focused on what's
12:18 am
which is making sure our troops are ready to fight and win our nation's and hopefully, therefore, not having to fight them in the first place. yeah well, we have the secretary of navy who just said in a in a major address at the national press club that we are completely outflanked on the naval side by china. i mean, they have, what, 50 more ships than we have. they have a much bigger shipbuilding capacity than we have. and yet trade policy seems to be geared toward enriching china. senator. so when i when the angle was about, you know, this doesn't make any sense. that doesn't make any sense to people who are actually paying the bills here . >> yeah. that's in part, again, because we have been outsourcing so much our industrial base to china for 20 or 30 years. you know, they've got shipyards that can do all of what american shipyards can do combined. that's got to be a real focus of ours. i mean, we cannot continue to let china to crank out more in a year than we can build in three or four or five years. that's all about bringing jobs
12:19 am
back to the united states, all about developing skilled workers, working at a high paying jobs in places like our shipyards that are going to be contributing to our national defense. >> senator, great to see you. thanks so. now, the fbi is engaged in unspeakable crimes against american citizens and the democrats response when they, the director in front of them will smear legitimate whistleblowers. >> attorneys for that whistleblower are here next. >> we plan to offer retirement, but i wish we had more cash. do you think those two have anyz idea that they can sell their life insurance policy foyr cash? so they're basically sitting on a gold mine? i don't think they have a clue. that's pe forcash. ev. they're well, not everyone knows country's helped thousands of people sel l policies for cash, even term policies. i can't believe they're just sitting up there sitting on all this cash. >> i alf own a life insuranceombi policy of $100,000 or more, you can sellnati or part of it
12:20 am
to country. even a turn policy for cash or a combinatiodmine, an cash and e with no future premiums. >> someone needs to tell them they're sitting on a gold mine and you have no idea. that? i hey, guys, you're sittia gold mine. >> do you that? >> i don't hear anything anymore. >> find out if you're sitting on a gold mine. call.com. direct today at 878 60 or visit coventry direct comm. >> i'm on the road all the time. i am not best leader. my wife and kids will tell you i'm not the best leader. they said dad. fruits and vegetables. fruits and vegetables. fruits and vegetables. so i start to take it balance in nature. i did notice a boost in energy . my wife noticed it. i noticed it as i'm driving and bounces nature. >> it's definitely helped me out for a limited time this summer. get $25 off your first order as a preferred customer, plus a free and veggies travel set. when you use discount code. fox news. >> do you listen to the tv

bp to learn more, i think about what the democratic party might have sounded like. >> i don't kno , i don'w. even a decade ago. government intrusion into our liverusions is unaccountable intelligence agencies preying on our agencie. >> well, they'd say these are s poison that have to be extracted from the body politic. but at today's bod judiciary committee, well, they not only acted as directorey nothris chris wray's bodyguard, they leveled scurrilous charges ,legitimate whistleblowers. >> here's congressman jerrgitimy nadler. >> chairman jordan invited some of these so-callemed to testify before the weaponisation subcommittee in mayo fore. the as it turns out, two of the witnesses were ultimately paid $250,000 each fory, mon their testimony. money raisedey raise in part byr

trump aide kash patel and paid via a chec bk with memo line reads, quote, for holding the line. >> joining us now is kristen levitt, president of empower oversight, and jason foster, founder of empower oversight, bothersight representing fbi whistleblower. marcus allen. kristen, your response to congressman nadler'sista allegations? apparently your clientss on only interested in this for the money. is there true? it's prett there for they. rett no, it's pretty outrageous. this isn't the first time that it's been shoot first and ask questions later for nadler and his staff. fid error riddled report back in march and they obviously to learn from their mistakes. bun't leart as the world saw whn marcus allen testified at this last weaponisation hearing, he's someone who has been without a paycheck for a year and a half for simply trying to do his job. and so it's outrageous for nadler and others to launcnd oha this war on whistleblowers, again, who are just trying to do the righrestt thing. : ja well, jason, did they get paid
12:26 am
$250,000 or not? no, they didn't get paid $250,000. another whistleblowe r raisedh some money from with a gibson go campaign and posted l a picture of some checks online. but they have not cashed those checks becausee buot check seeka advice about whether and how whd when they can acceptnd the money. so you can see where this is all going. i meanmeane tleblowe, it's i mee whistleblowers until they don't like them, until they're actually revealingt this corruption. but this is congresswoman sheila lee. tristan specifically calling out your organizedlling ou to w this. >> o'boyle and allen are represented by an outfitth called empower oversight. our oversight is run by former o republican staffers. do you know who else in power oversight might represenw td ir the so-called irs whistleblower who jim jordan had reliewhistlee but does anyone need any further proof that these allegations agendans are corrupt political stunts advanced by those who don't want to seewo us follow the law? >> now, tristen, i know you and jason both havu ann
12:27 am
e some details to share with us tonight on this. tell us about it. >> absolutely. wellwell, first off, jason, i ae both extremely proud to work with the whistleblower as we dwo . we think it's incredibly important to protect those who are coming forward, to tell prot about waste, fraudabout and abuse. >> well, what about this, tristawastn? this mean, is this. i mean, jason, is this jus jt a this is just some kind of right wing fantasy? >> again , i think people whoth don't really follow the nitty gritty of these cases at a some point, you know, all the dust is thrown in the air and they don't know what to thinnd k. well, it's outrageous for members of congress to attacrskc whistleblowers for political purposes, especially puecially factsresswoenal straight. and clearly, the congresswoman didn't have her facts straightmu . in fact, marcus allen grew upria innd her district and his parens still live there and are constituents of hersconstitu any actually had contacted marcus's mother had actually contacted the congresswoman's office for help, the unfair treatment thatv
12:28 am
he was getting from the fbi. severaerall months ago and nevea heard back. so needless to say, shs e prettn upset when she saw her son being attacked without, the congresswoman having her done her due diligence todadiligency, national televis. now, tristan, is your client coill in contact with, the decision to come forward? meanany second thoughts given the huge and unrelenting onslaught from the left? >> wel ol, his case is interesting because he actually was alreadycaus a retaliated against before he came forward. his initial disclosures were internal. to fbi.they they they suspended his security clearance and suspende d him without pay for a year and a half simply for doing his job. so he really didn' y didn'tt haveforwar a choice to come forward. he has been interviewed by the inspector general at he hintervie of justice, which is taking his case very seriously. so he has a very promisingo is s to be restored and made whole within the agenciny. o there's no question that his name has been dragged
12:29 am
through the mud. again, clearlyqu democratscrat on the house judiciary committee seem intent on waging a war on whistleblowerseem int e you know, no one in their right mind would choose to get in the middle of that. >> . but clearly, he's just part of the white supremacist action out there. of white ss what's going on. jason and jason, great to see both of you. thanks much. so >> now, our next guest was one of the few on capitol hilles todat was y to actually mention what would get to the heart of reformhat here using congress's power of the purse to force serious reformeforms s at the f. now, this is what he said when leaving the hearing today. f >> i have to have the people believe the system of justice fair and this fbi is not is notl presenting that to the people. they wane.they want accountabilr these egregious errors that they see the blatant violation a of americans free speech rights. we need changes in the fbi. and if they wantngthe fb t to, t the funding, for example, for cn $1,000,000,000 new headquarters, they have to show us they can respect the constitutional theal right r the people they are supposed to serve and protect. > laurare now i here now is f

the house judiciary committee, louisiana congressman mike johnson. congressman, in the angle we talked about the ways that we could gradually build back the public's trust in our institutionsou. and the left is always saying, well, how sad it is that people have lost faith in government , but whose faultthat is it that the people have lost in government? it's certainly not you know, it's certainly not you kno w, tru whether cable news host or donald trump, he didn't censor ' americans and they didn't target americans based on political affiliationoliticar prosecution. >> yeah, the people have lost faith in the fbithe peopth beca, frankly, they've lost count of the number of scandals that in t in the last couple of years. they have really and truly weaponizedonized t the departmei justice and the fbi, the premier law enforcement agency, the country. and, you know, right now, there was a poll that came out last week 37%, laura, only 30 7% of americans have a favorable opinioopinion of this top law, enforcement agency. and today, director wray appears before our committee. >> he he is defiant,s he's evasive. t'
12:31 am
he just played right into this sort of perception that' s outd there that they can't be trusted. it looks suspect he couldn't provide the most hee most simple and straightforward answers about things that he really should ared have been prepared to talk about today. >> now, to that point, congressman, i want to plaan, iy a quite i think, a quite revealing exchange with yoexchau and director wray. >> can you definee wh what disinformation is? what i can tell you is that our focus is nots is on disinformation. broadly speaking, our focus is on malign foreignig disinformation, that is, foreign hostile actorsn engage in covert efforts. mr. read our sociafforts wl plao which is something that is not seriously in disputesl. >> congressman. foreign, hostile actors. i mean, lasthostile tors time it was people who said they didn't believe in masking to stoptoands covid. >> i mean, come on. yeah, that's exactly right. and this isn't jussn't juss t l opinion and mike johnson's opinion. this is the federal court in louisian louisiaeda issued a 15e opinion granting an againstdoj,

the biden administration, the doj, the fbi, becausey what the evidence in the case shows there is that they were colluding and coercing the social media platforms to censor and silence conservatives online. and it was not foreign actor lax these are american citizens who were expressing thnds thoughts and concern about vaccine mandates and the efficacy of the vaccine anself and even parody about the president jokes president biden were taken down from the from the internet because fbi agents thought they think they classifiedken ds disinformation which of coursein director wray and no one can define it. it's a charade. look, the court said it wadefins arguably the most massive attackly on the first amendmen right to free speech in american history. >> ghe is non americant it. >> congressman, you actually aske youd the simple, forwar straightforward question. and just letd it let the silence kind of take over the room. that great was a great moment.toni thank you for asking thatgh
