house after not being able to identify any suspects. >> steve: shocking. the agency says this is not the first time drugs have been found at the people's house under president biden. apparently twice in the last year. >> ainsley: that was news to us. lucas tomlinson has more from the white house this morning. lucas? >> good morning, steve, ainsley and brian. white house officials have been telling reporters for days now not to expect much from this investigation. and it turns out they were right. the secret service closing their investigation yesterday, releasing a statement saying, in part, quote: the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who pass through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered. the house speaker kevin mccarthy says it should not take inspect crouso to figure out who brought the coke here to the white house. >> this is the most secure building probably in america. as a member of when i go through my own security i go through security. it seems to me when it comes to

the biden inc. family they get treated different than anybody else they can't tell us who wrought it what else is happening in the white house? >> members of congress received a classified briefing yesterday about the investigation. one republican lawmaker says they were given the following clue and are surprised it was not acted upon. >> there has to be collateral that they get in return once they are finished with that locker. right now there's not anything like that. and what we are told is there are 182 lockers on the wall of the foyer in the west wing for individuals to put items in. and this was found in locker number 50. and the key, currently, is missing. >> the key is missing. now, one more thing. you mentioned earlier that the secret service report also said that marijuana was found here at the white house on two separate occasions last year in july and september. no arrests were made in that case as well. the secret service says there wasn't enough to charge.

yesterday, the secret service quickly determined it's impossible to find the culprit even though a known cocaine addict lives there. no serious person believes this explanation. because, when you think about it, if the white house is not secure, they need a plan to fix it. meanwhile, hunter biden's own attorney abbe lowell sent a cease and desist letter to donald trump yesterday saying -- stop saying it's hunter biden's cocaine. and claims that the former president's social media post could lead to somebody hurting hunter when he is out and about. >> brian: he has secret service. >> steve: this mentioned januar. the hammer attack on paul pelosi and the guy that was found with weapons and i think a gun near obama's house in washington, d.c. mr. president, please stop it with the hunter biden coke thing. >> ainsley: one exagent said it's a cover-up. how could they have no leads. if this were anthrax would we get the answer. >> steve: somebody would be in the hospital.

committee yesterday he said i hope this hasn't been too problematic for operational team and private jet to get to d.c. kerry says that's one of the lies i'm i'm i'm going to paraphrase one of the lies consistently told about me that i fly around everywhere. i don't even own a private jet. of course we know that his wife, theresa heinz kerry and her family has got a private jet. and, in fact, it's owned by -- it was owned by flying squirrel llc a charter company owned by his wife until last year when apparently they sold that jet, big gulf stream to a hedge fund here in new york city. >> ainsley: look, this is america. can you own a private jet if you can afford one. and i'm, you know, in favor of that if you work really hard and that makes your life easier, go for it. but, if you are the climate czar, don't preach to us about how we need to have less carbon emissions and you need to drive a certain car or you are not going to get a rebate if you buy a regular car.

sheriff deputies were monitoring the wealthy neighborhood with drones when they noticed a man and woman running into the area that's off limits. the two suspects are charged with residential burglary, but deputies say additional charges could be coming. and the world health organization recently classified aspartame as a possible carcinogen but the agency now says it's probably safe as long as you don't consume more than 40 milligrams of the artificial sweetener per day. that's about 9 to 14 cans of soda per day. that's a whole lot of soda. and today is national french friday. many major chains celebrated yesterday but last year checkers and rallies created a petition signed by 40,000 people to ensure national french friday always falls on a friday and to announce the location get a batch of free extra large fries today and tomorrow and we have some delicious fries to eat right now to celebrate.

larger picture, brian, is that i'm on a congressional commission, bipartisan, that's looking at the national defense strategy of 2022. and what we see is the military is actually over extended given all the missions it has. we are focused on three primary geographic areas where our vital national interest are involved. the indo-pacific region, obviously. europe as we well know and also the middle east. but, at the same time, we have all these mission requirements in those areas and also some in africa. the army is the smallest it's been since prior to world war ii. the navy is at a 40-year low in terms of its size. i mean, the air force, excuse me. the navy, their requirement, brian, is for 371 ships, according to their secretary of the navy and the chief of naval operations. and they are going down to 291. so, as the military is shrinking in size, the requirements are not going away.

chinese owned company. and they are getting a lot of support in your area, right? initially the local townspeople came out and said wait a minute we don't know anything about this. they started to get a lot of pushback and starting to look like whitmer was going to lose this because the community was going to say we're not going to have this. so suddenly, in the last week they have sent out this group the students for a democratic society to go door to door and knock on people's doors and tell them this is a good idea. meanwhile, we have no environmental testing. we don't know what products will exactly be made there because they all signed nondisclosure agreements including the legislature. and we also don't know if these products will stay in the united states or be shipped overseas. >> ainsley: why does gretchen whitmer want this company in your state. >> she has had so few wins in michigan. she cannot get jobs to the state of michigan. jobs report michigan at the top for having the fewest jobs out there. it is such a bad situation in the state of michigan. and just before she announced

this goshen deal, we find out now that in october she lost $100 billion project for the state of michigan. it came here to the state of new york instead of michigan and she doesn't want people to know that she has no economic plan. >> ainsley: we are approaching the presidential election the entire g.o.p. delegation has endorsed donald trump what does this mean for the former president? >> well, it's very interesting because as we watched the situation in michigan with no jobs available, the unions are found derg because the automotive industry is leaving the state of michigan on a daily basis, those are the people that voted for him. those are the people that said he is going to bring back manufacturing. it's not surprising to me to see the congressional delegation get behind him because what he was able to do for the state of michigan was significant. but it wasn't just jobs. it was also that he took care of the great lakes. he made sure that our greatest resource, water, was taken care of. and those congress men and women understand that michigan has one
