evening. thank you for tuning in, thank you for making this show possible. this is our last toss to laura but because of re-air times, we call it no toss friday so let not your heart be troubled, laura's next and laura, yes i will miss our nightly tosses, but there is an announcement on that coming soon. thanks for being with us. ♪ ♪ >> laura: i'm laura ingraham and this is a special and final 10:00 p.m. edition of the ingraham angle from washington tonight. all right, in the biden world view, any random trump voter is far more dangerous to man kind than dispotted regime in china ever could be. now they'd much rather deal with president xi and his top brass than say with speaker mccarthy or senator tom cotton. they'll travel around the globe to work with and glad hand with

the ccp, but they'll barely return the phone calls coming from across town from these gop leaders. next week carrie is traveling to push his global climate framework that the green radicals are desperate to establish. of course it's all a sickening suck up and a complete humiliation for the united states ar china has not only been harassing our aircraft, international waters but also hacking our government's e-mails. >> this hack only was able to gain access to the unclassified side of u.s. systems. it did provide this women some insights leading into the secretary of state's visit. secretary of commerce, gina ra money dough who's also in this hack. she is planning to visit beijing in the coming months. >> laura: for doing her this favor of hacking e-mails they've invited her with the parade of

biden officials. it's a dream come true for xi and of course he has no intention of abiding by any kerry approved climate rolls. never. they will continue to do what is in its economic and its strategic interest. that's what china does, period. and the numbers do not lie. check out this revealing graph that matthew iglesias of bloomberg just tweeted. unfortunately the people who warned back then that u.s. emission cuts would be swamped by chinese emissions growth were correct. now, global greenhouse gas rules and draconian targets would simply end up hamstringing the united states by destroying our energy independence, a lot of it's already been destroyed. and then, along with it, our wealth and our freedom. >> think about it this way. with kerry's assistance, china would be closer to its goal of eclipsing america's status as a global super power and it would be doing it all without firing a

orders and just end up working longer hours and have a lower standard of living. and kerry is not about to let some old republican congressman derail his plans for quality time with xi. >> the president, xi jinping called him a dictator. do you believe he wields the power of a dictator today in china. >> i just, frankly, all of that is like water off the duck's back and i don't think we ought to get tangled up in, you know, labels and names and whatever. what we ought to do is look at the heart of what we're trying to do. >> laura: the heart of what we're trying to do. hmm. oh, we know what you're trying to do all right. you and your pals have made it very clear. >> but here in the united states he has said that 50% of all the vehicles that we're selling by 2030 are going to be zero emission vehicles. >> you ever want a definition of insanity some of the behavior that the world is falling into at this point in not responding

7:06 pm
administration does, that climate change could destroy the freaking planet, then it's worth saying that that's a national security threat, at least equivalent to china. >> the department of defense defense's climate adaptation plan includes radical proposals to reduce green house gas emissions at the expense of our war fighting capabilities. we should not be pursuing this politically motivated climate fetishsation that undermines our national security. >> laura: and it's not just the military they want to cladically undermine here, it's your own comfort as well. if you like the concept of air conditioning, you know, modern refrigeration, the epa has some news for you. they're about to make both more expensive and less useful in order to abide by the new global rules to cut carbon emissions before they're just fazed out all together. they don't want any carbon at all. the exact same agenda to the un secretary general has. huh, what a coincidence.

one of the most impressive mcenroe economic interventions in recent american history in the last hundred years. >> laura: perhaps mr. hay is not aware of the current oecd projection. it doesn't take the ph.d. in economics from stanford to know that under biden americans are poorer, our national debt has sky rocketed and china continues to threaten our position in the world. so no amount of spin, no amount of happy talk from their press at sheas at the other cables are going to make those inconvenient facts disappear. here to discuss, ari fleischer former white house press secretary and ben editor at large of the spectator, both are fox news contribute tours. ben, let's start on the china question. what's going on here? i mean, there couldn't really be more affronts to america that occurred over the past three or four months from the hacking to the spy balloon to the buzzing of our aircraft.
7:09 pm
other just opaque threats regarding taiwan and so forth. what's going on with kerry and why the desperate need to send the parade of horribles over there? >> laura, i would not want you to spend the last 10:00 p.m. hour of your tenure before you move to 7:00 just having to go through the list of all the different ways that china has insulted us, but you could if you wanted to. under joe biden, the chinese and the chinese communist party has been nothing but completely disrespecting the united states and the united states power in so many different respects. we can go all the way back to that initial meeting in alaska where they deployed language of blm and critical race therapy against tony blinken and our state representatives and draw a through line the way they feel about us today. we are not an entity they respect and under joe biden they view us as being an entity they can do anything they want to. they can manipulate just about
7:10 pm
anything, they can move anything around according to their wishes. they can completely disrespect us in ways that we really haven't seen before within the american experience. and yet they believe that they can get away with all of that because they know that the biden administration is not going to make them actually deal with any real consequences for their behavior. and i think that particularly with their most recent hack, the fact that this hack was taking place at the same time that the biden administration was congratulating itself, patting each other on the back for, you know, achieving some kind of diplomatic break through, some kind of thaw in relations shows you how ridiculous it is. >> they're disrespecting us pulling things out of our back pocket as they're shaking our hands and unfortunately until this administration is out of washington i think that is going to just be the regular just accepted way that we deal with the biggest adversary that we have around the world. >> laura: yeah. ari, john kirby, though, has been out there saying, look,
7:11 pm
these hacks essentially happen all the time. it's not something that we want, but it's just a fact of life. it shouldn't stop us from continuing this great path of togetherness with china. your reaction just to that. >> yeah, i mean, he's right these hacks do happen all the time but it doesn't happen all the time that america gets embarrassed by china so regularly and that's what's happening under joe biden's watch. we do this to china, china does it to us, nations do it to other nations around the world. but the embarrassment factor. the problem with china, for the last 30 years since they started to emerge as a global power increasingly with every year, there's never been a door they met that they didn't try to see if it was open. and when they meet an open door, they rush through it and exploit it and take everything they can. the problem with joe biden's administration is every door seems to be open and china goes through all of them. they don't think it's proper policy to slam the door, shut the door, lock the door and not let china in. and that's what you have to do
7:12 pm
when you're dealing with china. you have to be strong, you have to be determined, you have to lock those doors, and then we've got to be tough with them and build alliances. it's been an era of american weakness toward china. the only credit i'm give joe biden is he kept donald trump's sanctions against china. donald trump changed our tariffs on china. donald trump changed the world's behavior to recalled china, but especially america's behavior to recalled china. >> laura: we'll see, if he's reelected to a second term i think all bets are off if those tariffs stay on that's one of the problem ari your point raising. speaking ever john kirby, spokesman for the white house, he was asked about the national defense authorization act that just passed through the house. watch this. >> do you see the president signing a national defense authorization act that limits transgender rights, that rips out diversity training?
7:13 pm
>> it's very difficult to see the president supporting legislation that would make it harder for americans to serve in uniform and to not be able to do so with dignity, not be able to do so with the proper care that they need. >> laura: well, ben, we just called up 3,000 reservists, sending them to europe, where 25% down on army recruiting, other branches of the military are also facing shortfalls and they're worried about the dignity of trans folks feeling better about themselves in uniform? what hill are they going to die on here? >> let's be clear about what they're talking about here. what they're talking about is using u.s. taxpayer dollars to pay for, you know, participants if our armed forces to travel to other states in order to get abortions that they want. they're talking about using taxpayer dollars to allow people who are, you know, who sign up, to transition on the backs of the hard-earned dollars of the american people.
7:14 pm
that is not what the military is meant for. that is not what the ndaa is supposed to be about. it's supposed to be about defending america at home and abroad. >> laura: yeah. >> it's not just a toy to be played with by the far left that abuse it. just another aspect of social engineering. >> laura: yeah, and ari, really quickly on this, i think he's done enormous damage to the military, trying to turn the tables on republicans but i don't think that's working. >> also the media's hypocrisy on this. media comes down inserting culture wars into the military? who put the provisions in there in the first place with the acc we whenceens of the press that it's okay to use taxpayer dollars for military abortions and transgender procedures. it was the democrats. this didn't used to be the case. they put it in and when the republicans tried to go back to neutrality republicans are accused of a culture war? this is the democrats inserting a culture war into dod and republicans trying to stop it. >> laura: doing huge national security damage to the country,
7:15 pm
i might add. ari and ben see you at 7:00 p.m. soon thank you >> last night we profiled the democratic representative who left their party after their stance on school choice. but the left's perfect version of basic education is at issue as well. look at california. its board of education just approved a new mathematics framework that uses equity and social justice as a learning tool. our next guest is a former teacher from california and current congressman, kevin kiley. congressman, how do you feel about the state's new math framework? what do we need to know? >> well, i don't feel good about it but welcome to california. i mean, you know, two plus two is four, laura. there really isn't a lot of room in the equation for politics or social justice or woke ideology. and, by the way, that equation is about the level of rigor that kids will get under this framework, try to bring everyone down to hold kids back to stop
7:16 pm
them from going into advanced mathematics or calculus to stop them from preparing to go into stem fields which is why the framework has been con determined across the board by real mathematicians and scientists arnold the world. but this is part of an indoc tra nation stat jib. gavin newsome signed a bill to make crt a high school graduation requirement and at the same time he's attacking the schools where students actually are learning. the moment he took office, he declared war on charter schools, even though a major new studies shows that charters are outperforming traditional schools in reading and math. and they do that by having high-quality rigorous instruction, setting high expectations for students and having accountability. they don't do it through justice oriented math or otherwise politicizing the classroom. >> laura: all the viewers have to understand this, congressman, that the test scores in california in math and reading are way down. so they want to shift the subject away from their failing
7:17 pm
teaching and their failing educational framework in the government schools. and that's what we're calling them, the government schools. and then just lower the bar for all these people who are stuck in the public schools because they're all against, of course, the teachers unions, against school choice. so ethiopian lock these kids in underperforming schools and then further lower the bar. so who's for the minority benefit in the united states? the school choice folks or the government school folks? >> yeah, that's exactly right. i mean, california, even before covid, had the second lowest performance of any state for kids in low-income communities, some of the biggest achievement gaps in the country then gavin newsome kept schools closed longer than any state and made those achievement gaps even wider. then going after schools like charters or private schools where students are actually succeeding. >> laura: of course these people will always have their kids in schools that still teach pre calculus as the math scores for
7:18 pm
california, they're only 33% are proficient, proficient in mathematics according to that survey. but bill and melinda gates foundation are all for these new standards. so, yeah, congressman, keep fighting. thank you >> now coming up, i grant raymond arroyo another three wishes on friday follies. but, first, new poll numbers reveal that the left is losing big on one of the biggest emerging fights in america today. plus, could a third party derail a biden second term? countries bedford and doug schoen join us for another pulse of america next. push

>> laura: all right, with the election seasoning gearing up and the first gop debate just a little over a month away, it's time for us to ask, what's the pulse of the nation? we begin tonight not with the latest 2024 horse race polling numbers but rather with a different hot button issue. and given the reveiling narrative from the elites in the media and entertainment corners, it might surprise you. look, a new gallop poll is reporting that nearly 70% of americans believe transgender athletes should have to compete on teams that, huh, correspond with their sex at birth. and what else? despite the in he want trans propaganda out there this issue has shifted to the right over the past two years. joining us now to help us take
7:24 pm
the pulse of the nation chris bedford executive member of the common sense society and doug schoen pollster and former advisor to president clinton. chris, this is one of the most significant terms in the popular culture that i can remember. now, what do you think is going on here with this market shift in public opinion? >> well, it's the most significant turn since the acceptance of the trans agenda in the first place. i think that men playing in women's sports and women playing in men's sports is a real gift from god because it's almost like a controlled experiment. there's people out there who say there's absolutely no difference in men and women it's just a social construct. then you take a man who places three or four hundredth in men's bicycling and put him in a woman's race where they've been working hard and they dominate winning by three or four minutes. it lays bear to absurdity. >> the showering next to girls.
7:25 pm
none of that is going to work. doug, this does though seem like a hill the democrats are going to die on or are they going to cut their losses here? >> well, if i was making the decisions, which i'm not for the party, i would tell them this is not a hill to die on. this is not an issue on which power at the highest levels should be determined. and it seems sort of axiom attic to me that biological sex at birth should determine where people compete. why would you put a party and an election at steak for something like this issue? i can't understand it. >> laura: now we can move on to 2024 and i think this story is pretty interesting because democratic jitters are apparently growing over cornell west third party bid for the white house, especially because a recent nbc news poll found 44% of registered voters say they're
7:26 pm
willing to consider supporting a third party or independent presidential candidate if it's trump versus biden part two. so that prospect is so alarming to the dnc chair, jamie harrison, he issued a warning. >> the stakes in this election could not be higher. you think about the contrast that we have right now, you have a party that is fighting for freedom, for more rights and not less. and you see the most extreme republican party that i've ever seen in my lifetime. this is not the time in order to experiment. this is not the time to play around in the margins. >> laura: the belief in freedom except freedom of speech, freedom of worship during covid. chris a lot of freedom. but should the democrats be concerned here about west and obviously rfk jr. >> the problem is not cornell west is presidential material or even rfk jr. talking some good stuff is presidential material the problem is the candidate hoisted on the voters is not.
7:27 pm
and when you have npr coming out and saying a significant majority of american people are concerned about the president's mental health maybe he's not the person to lead this revolution who's invigorating to their base. >> laura: doug, this is quite something though, you have two, kind of charismatic in their own ways, rfk jr. is, not a dumb person he's very smart and cornell west has been around for decades sounding a lot of these themes democrats have latched on to when it comes to reparations and other race irons so have they gotten themselves in a box holding on to biden so tightly? >> in a word, yes. laura, rfk jr. and marry and williamson right now are getting up to 32% of the vote. >> laura: i forgot marianne williamson. thank you. >> yeah. and i think that could go up as biden's numbers continue to erode as i think is at least
7:28 pm
possible. look, i've known cornell west since college. we disagree about everything. but he is a smart guy. he's an articulate guy. his world view is not close to mine or that of many, many people. but for a small segment of the democratic left, they will find him compelling, particularly as joe biden remains an unpopular president. and we go back to 2000 and 2016 when third-party left-wing candidates, nader and then the green party probably played a role in hillary clinton ton. >> laura: ross perot, too. do you think biden is going to have to make some alliance with these candidates? can he? i don't see how he can make one
7:29 pm
with rfk jr. well what is he going to make him hhs secretary? i don't think so. but maybe with cornell west. >> that's something the biden administration's been trying to do. remember he ran as a moderate and a peace maker to return normalcy but his white house has pushed more of the radical agenda of the left wing of the democratic party, not the middle road. even more than those people, i would be worried about joe man chen if i was joe biden. the question about joe manchin does he want to retire peacefully and become the of west virginia state or for poed 0 the democratic party because he's speaking at the no labels. if he's that angry about the democratic party and how much is left behind the state of west virginia and the working class coalition then the democrats are in much more serious trouble. >> laura: chris and doug we'll see you next time i'm sure at 7:00. great to see you both, thanks. >> i look forward to it. thank you. >> laura: msnbc is saying that biden is a lot sharper than you think.

their money back to the cartels. >> laura: dan there have been some reports of border patrol agents cutting the razor wire that your states have put up. now, this is lieutenant chris olevares how he responded. >> by cutting the wire that we have put in at the state to rappel mass migration completely undermines our ability to secure the border. that's the whole reason we placed that wire along the river is to redirect, to deter any mass groups crossing that dangerous river especially now with the extreme heat. >> laura: now, dan, have you heard those reports? i mean, now, this is upside down here. >> it is upside down. we want to stop people from crossing. we don't want anyone to drown in the river but biden is the person who's saying -- he's coaxing them literally -- he's never come to the border but if he did, dive in, at he okay, the water's not that deep. no, this is a very dangerous situation that he's created. by the way i know there was some

letter by some border patrol person along the border. laura, i've been down there many times and i can tell you border patrol, overwhelming majority they want their help, because biden has turned them into desk clerks at a holiday in. we're actually securing the border with our national guard. look, in our budget that we just passed in may, we spent $4 billion, four billion in our budget of our daks pair money to protect the border. and we shouldn't be doing that. until we get someone new in the white house, we're going to see people drown, we're going to see people going into servitude. we're going to see people trafficked and we're going to see american lives, in this country, impacted. so, laura, we're doing everything we can, and the overwhelming majority, they support us. they support who makes their paycheck. >> laura: here's how one texas congresswoman dan responded to these issues of buoys just a few days ago on cnn.

watch. >> these are brewery's that are apparently going to create a floating barrier in the rio grande. >> i think it's really important for americans to understand just how dangerous, reckless and deadly the governor's decision is. we know that governor abbott doesn't care about federal personnel or the personnel on the border anyway. >> laura: so, dan, the buoys are more dangerous than the cartels apparently. >> there are a lot of people watching right now on a beach somewhere in america, and what we often see in a we shall area there are buoys out there that say don't go beyond these because it's dangerous. we do that in a swimming pool, don't go in the deep endment these buoys out there are sending a strong message, this is dangerous, don't try to swim across the river. it breaks our hearts when we see children or adults drown. but this is joe biden's fault. he does not care whether it's fentanyl or people drowning, he doesn't care about human lives.
