1:11 pm
to the point with how the industry has changed and how our country has not. we are every day actor can make a living doing this anymore. the only way to raise a family here like we have is if you are a series regular on a tv show or a movie star. you cannot make tv shows and movies is all of the series regulars of the movie stars. steve have them granted to the family part of it next but if you could win when did you notie the change? >> out my goodness. we were used to this routine go to vancouver for sussex -- a nine-month or atlanta for six -- nine months. he would very kindly and sweetly and diligently come home every weekend and would do this. not on first-class tickets or business tickets but are on coach tickets that we pay for
1:12 pm
because that is what it's like when you are working out here he would come home and see us every weekend to maintain our family dynamic and keep it nice and intact. this is a very common for the working actor and someone who is on a series. pretty soon on streamers came along we notice the orders became shorter and further and far between when they would pick up shows. we would have to rely more on our savings in between that time. we have three kids. we have college age son right now. getting him ready to go off was very stressful. >> is one of things in negotiations are these exclusivity clauses in the contract. in the old days with network television you are working 10 months out of the year. and you are exclusive to that show in your two months off you could not go be a series regular on another show, that made sense.

these executives talk about the writers strike in the actors strike as if we are responsible for this happening. we've been forced to go out on strike but we do not want to do this, we want to work. we've been forced to do this because they refused to come to the table with regional negotiation. the reality is we fully understand the effect on our community. more than 80% i think it's 87% of the screen actors guild does not earn enough to get healthcare that is $26000 a year. that meant more than 80% of our union has another job at least one. the fact is we are our community work and limit our community every day so no one is more aware of the struggle that this fight is causing. but unfortunately we have been forced into it and it is existential. we help our victory is going to allow this business to continue to exist and to grow. and that in the long term is
