angle. now it seems to me that the democrats know they're in one big hole. now, first, having joe biden as their nominee, it's very risky. at the same time not having them as their nominee may be even riskier. now, how did this happen? well, during the 2020 campaign, when everyone in the press already knew biden was failing, well, they propped him up in a full weekend at biden style production. they and the dnc knew then what they know now, they could market him though as kind of an older and more stable than the new far left democrats and reassure the seniors and minorities and independents. but now what? he has only gotten worse. and america knows it. and now the country and the party is stuck with someone who literally, everyone knows is a figure head president. joe is not calling the shots on
4:02 pm
any major question on maybe whether he will have jell-o or pudding for dessert and look, let's be honest, dr. jill probably makes those decisions for him. now, with his cat naps and his regular stumbles, we are dealing with weekend at biden's returns. trying to bring him back to political life, the media, they are blaming everyone but themselves for the bind they are in. >> yes, he is 80. you need to be there for him. and you need to make a pathway. you can't have these video images of the president tripping or the president, like, going the wrong way. >> well, sometimes they try to pretend that he is actually serving as president even when they know he is not. >> well, yeah, he keeps a very rigorous schedule. we know that of course, it would be easy for the democrats to get rid of biden. but, they are stuck with him because all of their potential

plan b's are nonstarters. >> biden is a figure head, but even biden without a brain, he is less terrifying than kamala with half of one. >> culture is -- it is a reflection of our moment in our time, right? and -- and present culture is the way we express how we are feeling about the moment. and -- and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment that is a reflection of joy because -- you know, it comes in the morning. >> speaking of joy, it won't be found in that gavin newsom option either. california used to be known as the golden state until left wing politics hit. it's now the go somewhere else state. and more than 40% of californians are considering moving and one third blame liberal policies. but the governor is not worried that people are voting with their feet.
4:04 pm
>> this is the first time in the history of the state that you have lost population. you acknowledge per capita more floridians coming back to florida than californians going to florida. 18 states saw decline. i love this state. don't count us out. no. that spin is not going to flight. and neither will the regime's attempt to spin the biden economy. >> we are very happy to see some breathing room for american households. >> our wage growth is moderating and inflation is subsiding so i think we are in a good path on the united states. >> now, even twitter had to correct biden's latest economic brag. he claims real wages are higher for the average american worker than they were before the pandemic. it's not true. real wages adjusted for inflation were at $11.15. now those real wages are at $11.05. now, the bottom line is republicans have a huge edge.
4:05 pm
it's awesome in 2024 if they wish to exploit it. but, it's not about drag queen, story hours or trans radicalism in the schools as important as those issues are. and they are important. but it's about securing the border. but, mostly, about the economy. because that's biden's biggest achilles heel. >> here's the dilemma. for the white house though. they clearly need to do a better sales job. especially in talking about things like the strong job market be. the fact that inflation. >> what the house can do is hope the things get better. you got to explain, explain, explain. basically educate. >> oh, we need to educate. people can't look at their own bank statements, richard? okay. well, at least biden has an msnbc, you know, panel to augment his comms team. that's good. but what about the republicans? well, kevin mccarthy, he is surprising a lot of people who doubted him as a speaker.
4:06 pm
>> i will not put an omnibus on the floor of the house. we should do our work. we should do our job and i'm thankful that you are here in statuary hall, continuing to see that this is the people's house. we keep it open to the public. members are now back to have to actually work in congress. they can't stay home. >> laura: now, if pelosi had her way, the capitol would still be surrounded by razor wire closed to the icky public and we would be well on our way to packing the court. house republicans are doing their job on this defense authorization act by trying to scrub it of all this nondefense related stuff like paid travel for abortions. how does that make us a better fighting force? and as far as the presidential race is concerned, no one seems close right now in that republican side. no one seems close right now to catching donald trump. he is dominating. is he dominating in the polls. and he is dominating in fundraising. now, people ask me all the time,
4:07 pm
laura, could that change? maybe. but over the weekend mike pence and tim scott got a taste of what the g.o.p. base thinks of the american munitions drain right now in ukraine. now, let's just put it this way the electric democratic and raytheon do not have the same interest in a prolonged war in ukraine. especially while our border is open to the south. ands who trend lines would you rather have with hispanic voters the republicans or the democrats? well, hispanic support for democrats slid from 72% in 2018 to 60% in 2022. and, obviously, desantis he showed massive appeal in his state with lisp voters even in traditionally dominated counties like miami-dade, impressive stuff. all right, here's the bottom line with my creaking voice. if you live in a part of america
4:08 pm
that's governed by republicans, you have good reason to be optimistic. because your businesses are growing. your schools are most likely not controlled by radicals and you are not getting hammered with unnecessary tax. if you live in california or you live in new york or illinois or any place governed by the radical left, you not only have to deal with a failing biden administration, you have to watch your state grow more and more fringe radical at the same time and less competitive. now, in 2024, the republican party -- i'm going to say this a lot. you might get tired of it but, you know, it matters. so i'm going to say it a lot. this has to be a no-state-left-behind strategy no. urban america left behind and no american state left behind. that means all 50 states because people want to be happy again everywhere in the united states. including in the blue states where a lot of them are miserable. so, conservatives have the

4:13 pm
one of those hollywood moguls jeffrey cass stenberg happens to be biden co-chair $1.7 million stood out not just for the amount but because it brought his questionable china ties back into focus. now, according to jeffrey, he visited china every month for years while running dreamworks animation and in 2012 he saw here now is enes kanter freedom. human rights activist and nba player. he is not the first guy to do business in china. we all know that musk has made plants, major business in china as do so many other fortune 500 ceos but who do you think china wants to win if it's trump vs. biden and why? >> i mean, of course, of course. i saw the news about jeffrey, and i believe he is the trojan

democrats and many in the liberal media have tried to discredit the whistleblowers prior to the committee hearing that we're going to have on wednesday. so, these two whistleblowers are going to come in front of the american people, in front of the house oversight committee on wednesday for about six hours and the american people are going to get to hear the truth from two credible people on the front lines that were in charge of trying to find corruption within the irs and hear what this fbi agent confirmed is they were blocked at every turn. they were tipped off, the secret service tipped off the bidens as well as the biden transition team. why would the biden transition team need to know that the whistleblowers were about to interview hunter biden? so i think this is good stuff and it adds correct to our whistleblowers. >> laura: congressman jordan, we understand that one of the whistleblowers is going to reveal himself later this week or her several later this week. what do you expect that will do to the democrats' attempt to really smear this whole process

stop the u.s. from sending more to ukraine. the country reportedly fires the same amount of 155 millimeter artillery rounds in five days as we're able to produce in a month. but this administration, they don't care, and if you had any doubts about who is actually running america's war effort in ukraine, listen to what john kirby said to shannon bream. >> defense industry obviously wants to make sure if they're going to increase production that that production rate is going to stay elevated for a period of time. that's sort of the central thesis of the discussions with them, to increase production and let them know we're serious about doing that for some period of time here. >> joining me now, ohio senator jd vance. we are mocked for warning against the industrial military complex. go back to dwight d. eisenhower knew a little about it.
4:57 pm
here john kirby all but adds admits it. >> it is scary stuff when he says the profit motives of defense contractors are motivating our posture in the ukraine. what's so unbelievable about this, laura, is those of us that have been warning about this have been saying for a year and a half that our posture in ukraine would deplete our missiles and the systems we need to god forbid fight the next war, to send to the taiwan east to focus on the war with the chinese. you're seeing the president of the united states saying the american people were running out of bullets. we're not making enough ammunition to arm our own troops or arm our allies for a war of the future, yet the same people will continue to say we can send more, more, more to ukraine. we need to stop supporting the ukrainian war effort at the least until we have enough bullets for our own troops. >> senator, i want

reaction to something former president trump said yesterday. >> i know zelenskyy very well, felt he was very honorable. when they asked him about the perfect phone call i made, he said it was indeed perfect. >> that's not enough for putin to stop bombing. >> not saying that. i had a good relationship with both of them. i would tell putin, if you don't make a deal, we're going to give them a lot, more than they ever got if we have to. >> senator, i know what he meant to say there, but some people were worried, some populous conservatives were worried bought it seemed like that was lindsey graham speaking toward the end about giving them more and more weapons, but what's your reaction? >> here's how i take it, lawyer a first of all, president trump has been the lone one in the wilderness saying to stop this war, it is not in our interest or anybody else's interest for this to continue. the way i took it is making an obvious, simple point that the americans, we have leverage here, we
4:59 pm
have leverage over the russians. they don't want to continue the war, we have leverage over the ukrainians, they can't continue the war unless we continue to support them. i think president trump is saying look, we need to use that leverage, we are the world super power, we can stop the fighting if we want to. this idea that this is ultimately russia and ukraine's decision is ridiculous. america has been an important party from day one from before the war even started. let's use our leverage to bring this thing to a close. that's what the president is saying and i agree with it. >> but senator mcconnell and joe biden are on the same page as is lindsey graham who is close to president trump, and again, not personal toward anyone, but they have a very clear pov here. very quickly, is the senate ever going to relent on the nonstop weapons to ukraine? >> not yet, laura, to be honest with you, not yet. about ten of us are pushing back on this, we need 51 to really stop it.
5:00 pm
that's why the best chance to bring the war to a close is get a better president in 2024. >> looking forward to it, senator. thank you for joining us. that's it for us. my voice held up, very excited. set your dvr every night for 7:00 p.m. so you always stay connected with us. remember, it is america. now and forever. feels good in this slot. jesse watters next. >> welcome to "jesse watters primetime." tonight. >> the secret service has ended their investigation without figuring out who's campaign it was. do you think that's a problem? >> democrats confronted over the white house cocaine scandal. why the coverup should upset you. >> covid-19 is targeted to attack caucasians and black people. >> rfk jr. shock comment that covid-19 may be a racial bio weapon. what does that mean and why anthonfa
